Speakers work fine from tv. It’s not showing up in the app. But everything works. 

Hello please i need some help … Please can someone tell the correct set up so i can listen to vinyl on 2 x  turntables with a citronic Mk 2 mixer to  sonos connect gen 1 , i have rca cables ..  and have tried many different connections to mixer and amp … no sound i have sonos 1 controller and sonos app  thank you . 

I decided to dip my toe back into the Sonos ecosystem after using the application and product many years ago. I needed new speakers, so I ordered a pair of E100s from Best Buy. I was shocked to see access required for location, network passwords, etc. just to use the app. Needless to say, I'm returning your s***** product because this is egregious!  You’re overstepping here Sonos.…Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.

I've just bought a Beam, a Sub Mini and two Era 100s. The two Era 100s are configured as the Beam's surround and it works fine. But I also want to listen to music only on the Era 100s in stereo (without using the Beam). No matter how hard I look, I can't find a way to create a second configuration that allows me to do this. Do I need to create a second room in the application? Or should I link the two Era 100s in Bluethooth? I'm at a loss.   Thanks for your help.

I have a pair of Sonos ERA 300 speakers, they are grouped, and I have a turntable connected to one of the speakers using the Sonos adapter (USB-C/Jack). However, the sound from the turntable only plays on one speaker. Is this normal?

Haven’t used my extra Sonos one speaker in a while and now find that I no longer have TV as a source on my app? What gives? This new app really stinks! 

Hi All, may I ask you for help w/ below topic pls.?I have Sonos AMP connected to gramophone. I would like to add 1x FIVE speaker (bought already) to enjoy vinyl music. But app announced to me that pair of compatible Sonos speakers can be connect to AMP only. Do I need buy the 2nd one or some trick how to connect just one FIVE? Thank you.*Martin

I have recently bought a new Play 5 Gen 2 and was going to sell my Gen 1 on Ebay as it would be a shame for it to go to waste. However, I am struggling to get it to connect to the V1 Controller either via Wifi or via an Ethernet Cable. I have tried my phone and MacBook.The Play 5 Gen 1 just gives the usual “Cannot find any products” so I cant be sure its working properly.When I connected the Gen 2 it connected first time with no issues albeit thats on the newer controller version, etc.Any suggestions welcome as to how I can get the Play 5 Gen 1 connected just to make sure its working ok before I put it up for sale. Thanks

So far as I can tell, it is still impossible to add an album from Idagio to the Sonos queue.   Will this be fixed any time soon?  Classical/opera streaming doesn't really work if you have to add dozens of separate tracks to a queue in order to hear the entire piece.  

Hi - have lots of existing Sonos kit bought 2012 - 2015. Have been managing to use with S1 controller, but about to modernise a little by purchasing a couple of Era100’s (the Bluetooth and LineIn features appeal).According to the Sonos support page, I should be able to use the Era100’s and the newer Sonos app with my Play:1, Play:3 and Boost kit (as they say these support both newer Sonos app and the S1 app).Are they correct?Incidentally, I have always relied on the SonosNet for connectivity (first with Bridge, then with Boost) and connectivity has been excellent, no dropouts.The website says that the Era100 can only either use cabled Ethernet or domestic WiFi - how would this play with the rest of the (older) Sonos kit using SonosNet via the Boost? Or does having the Era100 in this setup mean that SonosNet is a no-no, and everything would be reliant on domestic WiFi?Thanks.

I’ve had a Sonos system running off of a cheap LG NAS since 2011. It works fine, although I use EoP devices and lock the system off from updates and the internet. Now using S1 software.Due to a system crash on a Synology NAS, I rebuilt it to take over the sonos side of things from the LG NAS, as that was starting to demonstrate a few file corruptions. I also installed another newer Synology NAS.The Synology is running DSM 7.x fine, and all shares are available via the network. It also works OK casting using Hi-Fi Cast to a CCA via the line-in on a Play5. However, it consistently fails with an error 1001 when trying to add a library link.Knowing that v7.x made changes to smb access, I downgraded it to smbv1 and checked the NTLMv1 box. It is using the correct permissions and group and also allows smb access to the sonos folder.I also followed a forum users text to include extra text in the smb.conf file, which should have helped.I have been trying to

Updated Sonos app with the most recent update and since then it has just not worked. Every single time I go to use it I have to update network. Everything has been switched off and back on MANY times. It’s so frustrating. 

I have tried everything to get this soundbar to appear on the Sonos app but it says it connects but it won’t appear on my phone. I’ve tried joint existing product, looking for new, factory restarting the thing and even contacted my ISP to see if my firmware is up to date and still nothing. Literally any help at all will be appreciated!

I go through the app and the setup works but when I open my system it keeps giving me an error that the sub is not connected. I’ve tried the hard reset and everything and no dice. 

My system says ‘access to Apple Music has expired.  My Apple Music has not expired .  Sonos not working again- big surprise.I thought I would delete app from my app screen , now I can’t find it in order to fully delete it 

Hi everyone,I recently changed my home Wi-Fi router, and ever since, my Sonos system won’t connect. I’ve tried resetting the router and reconnecting through the Sonos app, but it keeps saying it can’t find the system. I’ve also ensured my phone is on the same network.Does anyone know the best way to get the speakers to reconnect? Should I factory reset them or is there a simpler fix?Thanks in advance for any tips!

Just installed the new app. But I can’t find where the music library went. Also no option to add a folder to the library  Moderator edit: We have an article with instruction on how to add a music library share on Windows and MacOS. Have a look. 

Recent purchase. Unable to get sound to Beam and there's no menu option to add the Beam as an external speaker. I'm using the eArc input 

I have had the beam for several years. There has been issues with the app connecting in the past but it fixes it self and reconnects. This time it is not reconnected. Everything thing in my home is connected as usual except my speaker that was perfect and working until I woke up. All of a sudden the app does not show my speaker or function to adjust settings.  I have tried everything ever forum every trouble shooting technique.  Still not connecting .  It set up as new speaker after factory reset and it completed the entire process and still does not show on the app like it normally does. Disappointing.  

My music library has disappeared and it will not reconnect.  Have made sure it is on SMB3 and it worked up until a week ago.  When trying to add it says it is unable to connect.  All the pathway and user name and password are correct.  What am I missing?

I just connected a new TV to my Sonos surround sound, but I have no sound from the speakers

Just replaced the arc with the arc ultra and my 2 fives and 2 sub gen 3’s disappeared. I’ve reset them multiple times and my router and the app still can’t find them. Any advice? I’m very close to selling all of my speakers if they won’t work.

So I know we are all sick of talking about this but it’s really got to fever pitch now.My on going issues are still on going with no signs of getting any better. I will just talk about my own personal issues over the last however long now which is too much to even use it anymore.  Slow app, delayed everything, takes about 10 seconds to play next chosen song that’s if it does play it, says unable to add to queue but adds it 50% of the time,  volume literally does what it wants, can’t turn off a track other than asking Alexa to turn it off, we had a house full Christmas Day and it was honestly embarrassing, safe to say nobody who was here will be rushing out for this dream set up!!!  I’ve done the usual things, reboot, wire a speaker to router but whatever I do makes no difference at all. I do think it could be my older play 1s that are causing the problem but there’s not a chance that I’m throwing any money at this for it to still be this b

I’ve recently upgraded my WiFi using a Deco mesh system and so I want to try using my system without SonosNet and use it with some speakers wired and some on my WiFi. I understand the way to do this is to disable WiFi on each of the wired units. Using the app on iPhone I select “Disable WiFi”, get the message that it may take some time and then either a “Something Went Wrong” pop up or it does seem to complete the switch off. But either way it stays with WiFi enabled. Is this just me or is there a wider issue with disabling WiFi?And am I wasting my time anyway trying this experiment? My system overall works OK but at times the app is seriously laggy when trying to select music or change volume, I was curious if ditching sonosnet would make things more responsive? Cheers  System is2 x Ports wired3 x Play 1 wired2 x Play 1 Not wired.

Hi have a SONOS 1 system and a new AMP to deliver music to Bose speakers in my room. I have downgraded the AMP to Sonos 1. I play music on iTunes on my PC, and this gets into the Sonos system through my line in of the AMP. This plays without interruption on the many SONOS speakers I have, but the Bose speakers in my room drop out for a second every once in a while. How to ensure that the AMP sufficiently buffers sound for the Bose speakers, connected to the AMP?Thanks in advance for looking into this.
