Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have a "Google Chromecast with Google TV" connected to my TV via HDMI. I use it to stream YouTube, Netflix, and Kodi. My TV is connected to a Sonos Beam (2nd gen) via HDMI Arc. Whenever I play a video with a Dolby audio track (on YouTube, Netflix, or Kodi), I hear a popping/cracking sound at the beginning of playback. This issue does not occur when playing stereo/PCM audio. If I stop the video and resume playback, the popping sound happens again. However, if I let the video play, there are no further issues during playback. The exact same popping sound occurred when I previously used a Sonos Ray connected via an optical cable. When I replaced the Sonos Beam with a much cheaper Philips soundbar (connected via HDMI Arc), the problem disappeared completely, and everything worked fine. This suggests the issue happens with Sonos devices, regardless of connection method (HDMI Arc or optical cable). How can I fix this? Is there a known solution for this popping sound when starting playback

Feature request. I would have thought this would already be possible but can we have a feature where we can use two era 300s as a stereo pair when bonded as surrounds. Would be great if I could use them as surrounds when needed but then quickly switch them to a stereo pair if I wanted to use them for music play back by themselves. Would give users a bigger use case scenario and for the cost more versatile. 

Hoping for some advice here 😊I have the Epson LS12000 connected to a HdFury VRROOM (from the projector's eARC output to the HDMI TX0 input) and a cable from my Sonos Arc to the eARC Audio input on the VRROOM.  However, while trying to install the Arc on the app I get a message saying "HDMI ARC not detected". Any advise?As additional information, I have a PS5, a Nintendo and an Apple TV connected to the VRROOM. All cables are high quality HDMI 2.1. The one running from the Sonos Arc to the VRROOM has the "device" side of the cable connected to the speaker and the "display" side is connected to the VRROM.I would truly appreciate all the help I can get - since this is driving me crazy 😊

Hey, I’ve been noticing recently that my Sonos Ace plays a beep sound and suddenly stops playing/recording any sounds.The weird thing is the headphone is still connected and is selected as the audio source in Mac and Teams, but it just doesn’t work. I either have to turn it on/off, or recently found that switching the audio device in both Mac/Teams gets it back to a working state.I’m suspecting it’s a sleep/idle-detection issue, where it “thinks” it’s idling and goes into a hibernate mode to save power.Anyone else has had this issue? It’s very frustrating, specially during some important meetings where it happens.

Trying to report a bug but can’t figure out where. Recently on my Era 100, most noticeably through Apple Music which I use most often, the next song in queue will play, but periodically no sound will play. App shows time elapsing on song, but no sound. Hitting back to restart the song then fixes issue and sound plays as normal.

I currently have a large amount of music stored on my WD Home NAS in various formats.  I’m able to stream MP3s to Sonos but FLAC files, although visible on the Sonos app (Music Library), bring up an error stating they don’t exist.  I guess this could be down to the NAS (which is a few years old) or the device I’m using to connect to Sonos.I also use Spotify but again, this doesn’t allow lossless audio.If there’s no workable solution, one option I am considering is buying a Brennan B2 or B3.  I have a large CD collection so streaming from Brennan to Sonos in lossless is appealing.However, if I take the plunge on a Brennan, I believe I would need to set that up as the designated Music Library.  So my question is - can two folders be set up within the Music Library on the Sonos app?  I don’t want to lose access to my existing NAS as that has some unique recordings (albeit on MP3) but would love the option of streaming lossless from another device.I guess my other question is does anyone k

My system is currently a mix of S1 and S2 products. I would like to upgrade them all to S2, but I have one (Play:5) that isn’t S2 compatible. I have an idea to get the Play:5 to work on an S2 system, please let me know if you think this will work. 1: I have an S2 compatible Connect:Amp2: Use speaker wire to RCA out of the Connect:Amp3: RCA to aux connection4: Aux line in to Play:5I know I’ll probably have to control volume separately on the S1 app for this, but it seems like I’ll least be able to group the Play:5 (via Connect:Amp) with the rest of the system this way. Any thoughts?

My SONOS ROAM suddenly dropped off my network and I cannot make it reconnect again. The light by the logo  will not light up at all (during an attempt to reboot it, for example) but the led at the other end, shows a solid orange for a few seconds and then nothing. So, right now, I have a brick that looks like a speaker.The iPhone app is confusing and offers zero help (when trouble strikes it’s essentially useless); there is no way to delete a speaker and attempt to add it again (this would seem a most basic function but not to SONOS).Any suggestions?Thank you.A.C.

What is wrong with the sonos app?  Since three weeks, I can’t control the volume anymore; it continuely searches, trying to find what is playing. It’s a frustrating mess. If it doesn’t get fixed soon, i am changing everything & i am going to spread my experience on all forums possible. 

My connect amp keeps flashing red.  I factory reset it but it goes back to flashing red.  I’ve spent hours on here trying to figure it out. It’s a new house to us and the rest of the Sonos system is working well but this one connect amp.  Looking for some more troubleshooting advice.  

Have had none of these problems with my original arc. Just hooked up the arc ultra to my Samsung tv and the eArc connection will be solid for a few moments and then the sound drops out for a second and it goes to a normal arc/hdmi connection. Have now tried multiple arc ultras and the same thing happens. Normally when I change the volume the tv says "receiver-(hdmi-eArc)". When this drop out happens it just says "receiver-(hdmi)". Thus I believe the eArc connection is dropping out to the lower arc. Has anyone else had this problem and what was their fix. I've tried different hdmi cables and that didn't fix it.As much as I would like to think this is a Samsung problem, with Sonos' recent successes I tend to lean more to it being something on the arc ultras end. Never had one problem with my arc and even still when I plug it back in the eArc connection is solid and never drops. Never had this issue until the arc ultra. Hi alli just purchased arc and sub gen 3 and connected to Samsung frame tv.  the first thing I have noticed is audio output is low.secondly, when I play anything on YouTube on Samsung tv app, on Sonos app it always show streo pcm.even though on tv under expert setting earc autosound output autodigital Dolby on but I’m not ableto select pass through , it only gives option for autopr pcm  

I have a full sonos system around the house and integrate my Rega planar P1 and Marantz CD6007 using a sonos port.  My question is this:Can I improve the sound output from my Marantz CD6007 by connecting an external DAC inline (using the optical output) and then into the Port, or is that just a DAC into a DAC? The Port obviously has a DAC inside it but can I improve the signal before it gets to the Port?Many thanks in advanceNeil

Hi there, We’re planning to change the layout of our living space, we’ll sort of divide the couch space from the kitchen space by a open ceiling to floor shelf that is connected to a wall, means off center, and you would pass the shelf when going from kitchen to couch. Attached is a screenshot of the situation. Questions is: I will sell my Sonos Beam, because watching TV is less and less important. Switching the 55 inch to a 32 inch that sits on the shelf. I need a new Sonos speaker for Music and Radio that will sit on the shelf. Is the ERA 300 a good speaker for the situation? Would you turn the speaker to the living space, or kitchen space, or would you turn the speaker facing to the side of the shelf? It will only be one Speaker because two will not fit. thanks for your opinions.s.

With my new system Beam 2, mini sub and ERA 100 all plugged into internet except ERA. My rear speakers two era 100 i constantly am hearing like a choo choo sound snow. I am only about 15 ft from my router. It seems to happen when rear speakers go low in volume. It can be annoying. Any thoughts to this matter I would appreciate. Thank you my friends.

Hello, how can I deregister a sonos product?

I have updated the Sonos app and am trying to install my two Sonos play one speakers to my existing system. I have installed an ethernet cable and connected them to my router unplugged them then plug them back in while holding the pause button until the Amber light starts flashing it only flashes red and has been doing so for about 15 minutes. Is there anything I can do to, accomplish this and reinstall these to my system 

I just moved and am setting up Sonos in a new location and different router. I reset devices to factory settings. Music works fine. The Arc and Sub work fine with tv.  The problem: If I am watching tv with the arc and try to play music on the whole system, the arc will not switch to the music.  The music plays through the arc so I hear both the tv sound and music at the same time.  

I work for geek squad I've been doing this for 12 years. I would always recommend Sonos for their quality and ease of setup. But in the last change of the app and updates, they are unusable. They will not connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or ethernet they are absolute nightmare to get going. I don't know what you have done to this product but I no longer recommend them and I refuse to let any of my employees sell them. Do better

I have a Sonos Arc Ultra connected via the HDMI Earc cable to a 2021 Sony XR-65A80J tv.  I’m using the Sony remote that comes with the TV.  When adjusting the volume there is 1) a delay in the volume response at the TV and soundbar, and 2) when adjusting the volume by multiple steps, it misses the input unless you press the button, wait, then press the button again.Can this be corrected with the tv settings? Or is this a common problem across Sonos soundbars and Sony TVs that is still unresolved?
