I am sorry to hear you are experiencing an issue with adjusting the EQ, Bass and Treble via the Sonos App.
What type of controller (smartphone/tablet) are you using, android or iOS? Have you tried a different controller and see if that makes a difference?
Which speakers in your Sonos System are you trying to adjust the EQ?
I am unable to reproduce this issue, as I can change the EQ of speakers in my Sonos System via the Sonos App on my android smartphone and can also hear the difference while playing music from Spotify after the changes.
One quick troubleshooting step would be to reboot all network devices involved, to refresh the network connections. Start with your Router → Sonos → Controller.
If you are still unable to adjust the EQ, or adjusting it doesn’t make any changes to the sound, I would recommend you to Submit Diagnostics and contact our Support Team for live troubleshooting.
