Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have used an alarm for white noise while sleeping for years. It is from a track on spotify. The alarm comes on a specified time at night, and turns off at the time I wake up. I have always used one 3 hour track, set on a repeat loop.  For the last few months, the most horrible thing has been happening. At the end of the track, Sonos starts playing random music - often rock, dance, hip hop - I have no idea where it’s from. But I wake up in the middle of the night to loud music. I sometimes have internet connectivity issues in my bedroom (though this has never affected my white noise alarm for the last 3 years), so tried plugging in my sonos. No luck. I tried playing the song directly from spotify on my phone on repeat and casting to the speaker, but it failed partway through the night (probably from bad connectivity?). I tried switching Sonos speakers (I have a Play 1, Play 3, Sonos One) - no luck.  I am guessing this is due t

After a very frustrating phone call with Sonos customer support, I was finally told that my new Ray is not compatible with a TCL Roku IR remote.  Was told that Sonos  engineers are working in a fix.  Normally I would return this but I am 2 days out of the 30 day return window.  Does anyone know of a work around for this problem with the Ray? TIA

Here it is.  i have a defective unit (Roam) that I need to return for replacement. Spoke to CS service and received a return number and form to complete with credentials. Receiving a second email confirming return number and steps to follow to return the unit. Was supposed to get a separate email with the shipping labels that never came. Spoke to CS again (two more times) and they said labels were sent to email address (after confirming email). Of course junk/spam folders were checked and nothing there. Last CS rep I spoke to said they would escalate to return department that would send labels…..crickets…..crickets…..no labels,no follow up nothing.Very disappointing from a company I have been loyal to for many years.  How hard can it be to send a shipping label via email ???Apparently for SONOS it is really hard seeing all the different posts regarding this same issue within this community.  Just wanted to share another less than s

I have a surround sound system in my home with 2 amps howeber the app doesnt let me re set the amos and it only connects ti 1 of the 2 amps but doesnt tell me which one

how do I program my home sonos system: 4 speakers, a sub and a beam? I used to have it programmed for different radio stations all week, but now I can’t find the tab to begin programming

Sonos fails to find devices , or let me setup a new network after I changed Internet suppliers and therefore router. This after the sonos app not finding my music for 6 months is very frustratingI have searched a bit on google for a solution, but so far no help.  My phone app aks me to add a speaker or component, but then says wifi isnt connected, connect to a wifi, . There is no way to get to settings to try there.If I go to help centre it does give me an update network button, but when I try that it tries to do one device at a time, but cant find any devices, probably because it is looking on the old network. I have tried switching 3 of my 4 speakers off, connecting one via ethernet to the new router and then resetting this one, but it has made no difference. Why is there not an option to just update your network regardless of your speakers.  I am stuck in a loop I cant get out off, which presumably renders my speakers as binnable. Hi all, quick question. I previously had a Sonos beam and 2 ones’s for about 5 years. I have recently upgraded to an arc ultra and 2x era 300’s as surrounds.  my question is does/ has anyone had a similar experience to what I’m about to describe.  Firstly I stream music through airplay, Xbox series x and sometimes my Samsung 2024 qled tv.  I expected when I upgraded for the sound difference to be night and day, my dad has one era 300 and when I listened to it before purchasing my set up I was blown away with the way the speaker filled a room much bigger than mine with ease, I listened to the arc ultra at an electronic store and again it sounded fantastic.  I then purchased and installed my set up and heavy heartedly must say that it sounds marginally better than my previous beam and Sonos ones.  I have watched every video under the sun, tried everything I can and even spoken to Sonos support who said there was

Sonos won’t log me in, even though the credentials are correct, it will not give an error, it just disappears as if I’m logged in, but I’m not.?

My play 5 speaker stopped connecting to the WiFi network - seemingly a common problem based on all of the threads. I ran a diagnostics as advised on here and got the code below.Sonos simply advised my speaker is faulty and because it is out of warranty they offered me 30% off a new one should I return it.I wondered if anyone has had any luck with getting their speaker repaired? I use my iPad as the controller for Sonos but sometimes I can’t switch the Sonos off! I can actually switch off the iPad and the speakers keep playing? Very weird. I have to shut down the app then go round and switch the speakers (x4) off at the mains and back on again to make them silent? 

Why should I buy Sonance ceiling speakers over another brand of the same quality?  What benefits will I get?Looking to use 1 pair as surrounds when paired with an Arc Ultra and Sub.The other pair as a stand alone zone in a kitchen.  

I own a Sonance Mag 6.1 outdoor speaker system, my question on the Sonance 8.1 system they offer a wiring harness, can this wiring harness be used for my Sonance Mag 6.1 system. Also on my system the subwoofer is passive, would I be able to swap out the subwoofer for a larger one as long as it's passive? 

I have a updated port that has a reduced line output. My amp GUI tracks this and I'm down 12db. Has anyone else seen this? This port runs a good size outdoor sound system. So, it's a struggle getting enough source.

I just purchased a Sonos Five and Sonos Roam 2 to cover a room in my house. These are added to my collection/setup of other Sonos devices. The cool feature incorporated with the Roam 2 is the ability for it to act like as a Bluetooth bridge/port. This feature works great with the Sonos Five, which I created a group for together with the Roam 2 through the app. The only thing is, whenever you connect to the Roam via Bluetooth, you have to keep checking the five in the app each time you connect to allow the synced Bluetooth sound. Now I noticed that the group function works very nicely where I can hold the play button manually on the five and it automatically plays whatever my roam is playing via Bluetooth since they are in a already created group in my Sonos system. The same does not seem to be the case when music is playing via Bluetooth on the roam but holding the play button on the roam instead of the five does not automatically have my five activate in the group and sync the soun

I assume I'm not the only one having issues with the latest app version which when switching rooms or adding a room to the current music playing a few seconds in at least one of the speakers starts playing digitized sound that is horrendous? I have to quickly skop to the next song in fear the speaker is going to get damaged. 

how to setup a tv with 4.1 speaker system with no center channel speaker?

I am remodeling my basement it is 25” x 23”. I have LG 83”” TV. Sonos Arc2 Sonos wall speakers they will be mounted on both sides of TVSonos Amp2 Era 300sGen 2 and 3 SubsI would like to add 2 8”” ceiling speakers to create Atmos sound. Is this possible?

Hi!Mac Mini user (Sonoma 14.0) here with a Sonos app. I know all about the problems with the Sonos music library feature from last year’s update, but I have been using the workaround of creating a library by adding the music share as a NAS /network share. Yesterday, however, I started having problems with the library. All the songs disappeared, so I couldn’t search. But, in Music Library Settings, the shared folder was still present. ‘Update Music Library Now’ ran for a second, but the library was still empty. I removed the shared folder and added it back again, using the NAS-workaround, but kept getting the error: Sonos was unable to add the music folder. Access to the shared folder is denied, check user name and/or password. Deleted the Sonos app and restarted my computer several times, to no avail.

My system formerly consisted of one Sonos Connect wired to three AudioSource AMP 100 amplifiers. One was wired to one set of speakers and to were wired to two sets of speakers. I recently replaced my Connect with three Sonos ports, one for each of my AMP 100 amplifiers. The speakers are wired the same to the amps as they were while using the Connect. my issue is that I now have to run my amp volumes on all three amps at 85% to obtain the same volume out of my speakers while when the Connect was being used the volume on the amps only needed to be set at 50% to reach the desired volume level.Has anyone experienced lower volume from their Ports after “upgrading” from their Connects?ThanksJeffrey P

In the S2 Desktop app, Deezer’s Recently Played container does not enumerate (“unable to browse music”).(Note: for this to even show up you need to have played a track from the actual Deezer app).In a curious chain of events, this does work in the mobile controller, just desktop is broken.

Hi just to ask if any one has experienced issues On any set up with sub 3 gen + sun 3 gen ? I did have a main set up l8ke this and the second sun it lower volume  them the first ones , but I discovered thr second and setup in another room and work fine, I even try other subscribers but same issue, second one it's lower them the 1st one any body with this issue?

How do I disable the tv speakers on my Bravia TV so that the default is my Sonos Beam and two speakers become the default. I can switch off the tv speakers but I have to do this each time I turn on the tv and I am looking for a solution to resolve this permanently without getting the echoey sound produced from tv speakers and Sonos speakers each time I turn on the tv. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I just picked up the Sonos Ray on clearance on Best Buy and am aiming to use with the latest Apple TV (4K 128GB 3rd gen) and Samsung TV (65" Q70C QLED 4K UHD Smart Tizen). Sadly, I cannot set the Sonos Ray as the default Audio Output on Apple TV. Each time I power Apple TV on or even evening opening a new app (YouTube TV, Hulu, Netflix, etc), I need to manually select the Sonos Ray as the audio output. once it is manually selected, I am able to change volume and mute without issue using the Apple TV remote, so I do not believe this is a remote issue. Additionally, the Sonos Ray does show up in my Home app and I’m able to play music/audio from my iPhone without issue.Any advice/suggestion on how to avoid the need to manually set Sonos Ray as the audio output EVERY time on Apple TV?

Hi,Does anyone know a way to keep speakers grouped other than when one product is playing from a TV (HDMI eARC). It would be great to keep a few products in a room grouped for listening to music other than when they are set to automatically ungroup when the AMP is playing from the TV.Thanks,David
