Sonos Ace and hearing loss capabiliy

I have an extensive Sonos system, including a soundbar. As with millions of other people, we have a family member with significant hearing loss. A feature on the Sonos Ace headphones that would make it a must-buy would be the ability to have simultaneous outputs from the headphones and the soundbar.

It's not as if it's a small market or Sonos don't know about grouping speakers. Surely this is technically possible, either as OTA upgrade or via next gen of Ace?

Hello @Alan Carnegie, welcome to the Sonos Community!

As @Rhonny mentioned, the ability to simultaneously have the Sonos Ace and the targeted from the TV Swap feature Sonos soundbar to play audio has been requested before.

Nevertheless, the more the merrier as they say. I’ve marked this thread as a feature request and forwarded it to the appropriate teams for consideration.

Thank you for the post and feedback!

This is my biggest Ace disappointment, I wanted to be able to watch TV with the spouse without blasting her ears or me missing most of the dialog but that wasn't possible.

Being able to have 2 Ace connected, according to the spouse, is not a solution as she hates headphones.

@Alan Carnegie

This has been a frequently requested feature (along with the ability to connect two Ace at once, which was actioned). So hopefully one of the Sonos mods will be able to send this as a feature request, or potentially confirm my understanding that this was submitted at least once for feature consideration.

A great multi industry feature would be for the hearing aid vendor to provide a configuration file that SONOS could import.

With my Ace I find listening to Amazon Music via my tablet and Bluetooth to give far superior sound to listing via the Tv's Amazon Music app. Sucks as it is really kind of fun to have the Amazon Music app up on the TV rather on the tiny tablet.

The difference is the pretty lame (for folks with hearing loss) Sonos tone controls versus the slightly better Amazon Music equalizer and the real winner, my Tablet's "hearing enhancements, adapt sound" that provides much improved adjustability.

Related, maybe, my hearing aids are not usable when wearing headphones as they get into feedback loops and howl.
