Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Howdy,I’m streaming audio from my iMac and Tidal to Move. Each time I pause the audio then click play, there’s no audio. If I wait for a few minutes sometimes the audio is reconnected.The only fix is to power off/on Move (the button on the back of the speaker) then the audio reconnects. I just checked, I have the Move has the latest updates.Is there a fix for this?Thanks,

This has been going on since the disastrous app update last May.  In the middle of a song the sound will just stop.  If you look at the app it is still playing, the phone wasn’t in my hands so I didn’t touch anything.  It happens with a bunch of different speakers, sometimes one of a stereo pair, sometimes both, sometimes it’s 1 out of 5 speakers, sometimes all 5.  No pattern I can find.  After messing with it, changing speakers, stopping & starting the music, rebooting the app, sometimes it will just start working again. anyone have any ideas or do we just chalk this up as another of the million bugs in this fiasco they call an app? And please don’t say “unplug all your speakers” since half of them are portable and have batteries.

Has anyone figured out a way to get these things working or am I just screwed for being a loyal customer and early adopter with a first gen roam thats out of warranty?

I have an entertainment system with the specs below, which I’m trying to use the “Monster Bluetooth 2-in-1 Wireless Audio Adapter” to connect the entertainment system to our Moto Motion Audio Sofa and Recliner via Bluetooth. I can get the Samsung TV (native mode) to play through the Moto Motion by connecting to it via Bluetooth, but I’m unable to play through the Nvidia Shield / Sonos Arc Soundbar. Will this play correctly as far as timing/delay/echo, etc? Will it sound right? Trueplay? How is sound processing and distribution handled for ARC Ultra connected to TV? Specifically, in the case of Atmos signal received, would the Arc Ultra send the original Atmos input to the Fives and Fives process it into stereo? Or would the Ultra decode the Atmos and send a PCM Stereo Mix to the Fives? Or would the Arc Ultra decode and only send the FL/FR channels to the Fives and disable its own L/R? Read in another forum someone has this working with option 2.3 but I didn’t see an announcement this was supported yet so am suspicious.

I’ve just got the Sky glass Tv and connected it fine to the Sonos Beam with Era 100’s and mini subi can hear sound coming out the soundbar but I don’t get home theatre surround sound like I did with my previous tv and Sonos Playbar music sounds amazing via the Sonos app but tv playback is basic, any ideas please 

Hi everyone,I’m hoping someone here can help me troubleshoot an issue with my Sonos Beam. Overnight, it stopped working properly with my LG Web OS TV.Here’s what’s happening:The Beam is connected via HDMI eARC, but it no longer auto-plays sound when the TV is on (even though auto-play is enabled in the Sonos app). I can only get sound if I manually select the TV as the source in the app. Our universal remote, which worked perfectly yesterday, can no longer control the Beam’s volume. I’ve tried reconnecting several IR remotes in the app, but none of them work.What I’ve tried so far:Resetting the TV and the Beam. Turning both devices off, unplugging them, and disconnecting all cables. Ensuring Simplink (CEC) is activated on the TV. Testing the HDMI eARC cable and another speaker with this TV — they worked fine. Testing the HDMI eARC cable with another TV and speaker — no issues there either

I’ve been having trouble with some of my older Play 5 Gen 1 speakers and the Sonos S1 app. I suddenly lost the ability to create stereo pair or remove stereo pair among other things. I constantly get a notification to update but the update always fails with error code 1101. This happens on Sonos Android/Windows apps with the same error. It can never update. I’ve tried all the solutions in the FAQ that it points me to but nothing changes.App version 11.15.2Build 572261300Any ideas

We have 20 foot high flat (not vaulted) ceiling. We have the Arc with 2 Era 100. The sound is terrible. It echoes and we can’t understand people talking in movies, the news, etc. Music doesn’t seem to sound too bad. Should we get the Beam or the new Arc? I called support line twice and both just read from a script and can’t tell me what we can do or buy to fix this. 

Watching TV with Sonos Arc, a powerful bang and sparkling sound appeared from Arc. I sounded like the whole speaker exploded, it was no sparks but I sounded terribly frightening. Speaker shut down, the I turned Arc on again and it sounded like before. Have anyone experienced this before ? I have two Arcs and the one that had this strange/undefinable loud sparking for 3 seconds, is a new/refurbished Sonos Speaker from Sonos Holland.    

Just got my new Sonos Arc Ultra/ Sub Gen 4/ 2 Era 300. Will be grateful if there is any article explain steps by step system configuration as Home Theater for first time.

I’ve got a client who would like to have rear surround and surround/height using 4 in ceiling speakers in his house with 2 AMP’s in conjunction with an Arc Ultra.  Is this possible or would it be better to just join the 4 speakers on one AMP to get the surround only?  It would be great for Sonos to be able to do 7.x and Atmos systems using their existing lineup of products rather than being stuck in the 5.x/simulated surround realms.  It would open a lot of doors in mid/high end retrofit applications.

Hi! Anyone else have a problem with two subs on the same system playing worse than one sub?I have the arc soundbar and a sub gen 3 and sub gen 4. When I connect both subs to the same area they play worse than just one. Sounds like they cancel each other out. Any tips on how to fix this?

Hello!I have a Macbook connected to my Fritzbox + Unifi Network via Ethernet. My Sonos Arc (with Sub Mini and Era 100) is connected to my Network over wifi through an AP 6 Pro; When connected like this, i am not able to stream music to my soundsystem. It shows the music i want to play in the Sonos app, but does not play any sound. When i am connected to wifi with my Macbook, the sound plays with no Problem. When playing Music from my phone, there is no problem playing music, so i assume it has to do something with the different connection methods...The AP is connected to the same switch, my macbook is connected to.I hope someone has an idea to solve this problem.

Just to reiterate that there is still an issue streaming SiriusXM without encountering drop outs. Some times it takes a few hours, sometimes it is less. The issue ONLY occurs with SiriusXM. The issue is not related to anything in our Sonos ecosystem or network. This has been confirmed. We have been in talks with Sonos dealer technical support (we are Sonos dealers and custom integrators) for almost a year, throughout which we have gone deep into diagnostics, made significant changes to our Sonos ecosystem and network, but the issue persists.The only solution is stopping the stream, waiting for ~ 30 seconds, then starting it back up. The issue is resolved temporarily than comes back.Sonos ultimately threw up their hands and deemed the issue on SiriusXM’s side stating that the encoding method of the SiriusXM stream is incompatible/too high of a bitrate for the Sonos ecosystem to be able to keep up with. Hi. Just set up two brand new Move 2s. Both work fine on their own and as a group. But when I try to pair them in Stereo mode, only the primary one plays music. This happens no matter which one I start with.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. ThanksG

I have two Play 3 speakers that used to play fine, then they started disappearing from the network and neither Spotify nor the Sonos app could find them. In the end I factory reset them.Both played nice during the reset, and the app found them no problem.. I went through the process where they play some bell sounds and the app declared they had been added. But there was still no sign of them. So I rebooted them, rebooted my phone, took them to another room, and eventually gave up and went to bed. Next night I tried again. Still nothing. Then suddenly, one of them started flashing green, and the app added it. Yay, one speaker works. However the second still refuses to connect.The mute light is solid white.Both speakers are on the network with IP addresses - the same network as my phone - and both are sending low levels of network traffic, and have been the whole time.What is going on here? How do I fix it?

I have a Sonos Connect Amp that had the PMW and  two MOSFETs  short. Replaced them and is well except the four TVS on outputs are blown open.  What are the part numbers for the TVS16001 -16004 on located on bottom side by output terminals. I see AF 41 GFX and I can’t  find any thing.Thanks for your help in advance,John

I have a Beam gen2, 2 symfonisk bookshelf and 2 somfonisk picture frame that I wanna use for surround, but I can only add either the bookshelf or picture frame speakers - not all together  Any ideas on how to configure all into the surround setup ?

I keep "loosing" my Arc Ultra that has 2 x Symfonisk and a Sub Mini that make the surround sound. I have rebooted the WIFI and it sometimes kicks in. I have disconnected them and connected at least 3 times and getting tired of it. Any ideas on getting in more stable or just an on going work at Sonos?
