Ive read a few things on how to stop people having access to my sonos while at home on wifi but why is there nothing when im out in public. I was recently powering up my headphones and someone connected to them.and played their music. Then I didn't have access to play music until I was out of range from them. I dont have multipoint access turned on. This is a huge let down...what can I do?
Someone would only be able to connect with your Ace if you put Ace into Bluetooth pairing mode (flashing blue led) when turning it on.
That suggests you held the power button for too long when turning them on.
You can also disconnect any active Bluetooth connection with Ace by holding the power button for around 4secs until the led starts flashing blue.
Thank you. That makes sense.

This is pretty much the case for any bluetooth device, not just Sonos. Unless there is a UI (screen) on both the sending and receiving device, there is no way to implement more robust authentication.
