When trying to add a shared folder playlist to my Play3, having entered all the required path details and then touched the ADD button, it circulates but the process never completes. I have ensured the folder has all the necessary share permissions.

How exactly is the folder shared? NAS / local / router USB?
Which app are you using to configure it? Mac / PC / Mobile?
OS version on said device?
S1 or S2?
How large is your library? Your profile shows that you have only a PLAY:3. Do you have any more modern units that are not yet logged in your profile? If you have more modern units, try powering down the PLAY:3 while running the indexer. I have no proof, but I’m suspicious that PLAY:3’s limited memory can sometimes impede the indexing process. After the indexing process is finished and you restore power to PLAY:3, the index will be copied to PLAY:3. All players will have a copy of the index, playlists, and music service registrations.
Can you share the path entry you are using to connect?
Have you tried using the IP address instead of the name?
Anything helpful here?
