Hey guys.Bought a single Five for my living room recently and noticed a strange issue that after 75 volume the bass is gone. I can physically feel it, sound becomes very thin. Is it a bug? Maybe new update brought some issues?I wasn’t able to test it before the update and I would appreciate any tips.I must also add that it happens with TP on or off. My HT setup with Beam 2 + Ones + Sub 3 is not affected.
I recently moved into a new home. The previous owner had the home wired for multi room speakers. There are zones that would need to be controlled.1st is the living room with TV. There’s wired labeled there for left, center, and right channels. And one other wire that I assume is for the Sub. See picture below:The question for the first zone is would I be able to connect a Sonos Arc along with a Sonos Amp for the pair of ceiling speakers that would function as the rear speakers. And an existing wired sub to create a surround sound setup? 2nd zone would be for outside speakers. Which I think should be able to be handled by one Sonos Amp. I think this is the wiring for that set: 3rd and 4th zones also seem pretty straight forward also for the Kitchen and Master bath. Here’s the wiring for those areas below: Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
I have a beam gen 1 and recently found an open box Arc for $400. I hooked it up and will have to say I am not impressed with the Arc. It didn’t have a wow facture to me. All of my TV settings are correct on my 1 Year old Sony TV. I tried trueplay but it didn’t seam to make a difference. I am debating on returning the arc and getting a mini sub for the gen 1 or returning the arc and getting a gen2. I don’t have the money to purchase a sub for the arc just to make it sound better.
I have a pair of Era 300s in my “living room” and a Roam SL in the “bedroom” However, the Roam are displaying in my wife’s S2 app, but not mine The Eras are displaying in my S2 app, but not my wife’s After a rough day of troubleshooting, I don’t know how to fix this. Do you know how to merge these so that both speakers are displaying on both our apps?
With the removal of functionality on apple IOS, is there a chance for Sonos to consider a dedicated remote (like there used to be)?I know my family would celebrate a central remote rather than relying on those with phones connected to the system to select music, speakers or change volume. Now that Apple have removed the ability to adjust volume via side buttons and no longer able to control from lock screen, the interaction with our sonos system is a lot less intuitive (my daughter has gone back to just using spotify - she can control the sonos volume from there, and my wife now just uses a separate bluetooth speaker as she sees Sonos as ‘too much of a faff’)
Today trying to listen to sonos radio and the adverts are constant. Is this a ploy to get people to pay for the service or a bug? Thks
I am looking for a midrange speaker for my sonos play5 gen 1 speaker. Is it possible to buy the speaker on sites?thanks
Hi apologies if this is already answered, but I can’t find my specific question. I have a traditional hifi setup: turntable (no built in pre-amp), cd player and cassette player connected to an amp and speakers. Independent from Sonos. I then have a Sonos system with paired Play:3s, sub and play base for music and connected to the tv, plus additional in other rooms. Questions: I’d like to connect the traditional hifi to the Sonos, retaining the ability to use my old speakers, but not at the same time as Sonos (as I suspect this will give delay issues). Is the best way through a Sonos Port, and does this need a pre amp from the turntable, or does it all go into my existing amp then out to the Port. Also, will this play havoc with my TV setup. Finally, I’ve read that using a Sonos amp instead of a Port delivers better sound, albeit at increased cost. The cost increase is not an issue if the sound improvement is significant. But will this setup work for me?Many thanks.
I have relatively simple system. Two Connects, three Play 3s and two Play 1s. All are wired and work seamlessly If I add another Play 1 on wifi (the only wifi Sonos product) it plays perfectly well. However if I wire it (like all my other Sonos components) my entire home network crashes and I have to disconnect the wire for the new Play 1 and reboot the network. Can anyone explain what the issue is?
Hi,Feature Request:Will it be possible to connect the new Era Speakers to Android, Windows etc. using USB audio instead of Line-In via adapter? This could result in better audio quality as well as less latency :)Regards
My Move would not update. It’s on the S2 version and out of the blue it quit working. Per the directions in the app, I tried to downgrade to S1 to apply the update hoping I could then add it back to the S2 version - that also gave me an error that the unit could not be downgraded. I had given up on the unit assuming it was just not going to update. THEN, weeks later, when I was checking some security setting in my Orbi app, I saw that the Sonos Move was showing as “blocked.” After unblocking it, the update worked. I don’t know how or why it ended up as blocked in the Orbi system. Anyway, I hope this helps someone else.
Setting up Era 100 speakers as surround with Arc setup has been running for 30 mins and still going should it take this long ?any remedy?thank you
Hello, fairly new to Sonos products. I recently purchased a second hand Play:3 in the hopes that I would be able to airplay music through my phone to it like I can with my Play:5 speakers.I then learnt that I can only play music through the Sonos S2 app which isn't as smooth when playing music as I'd like. I then purchased a bridge as that is what my short research led me to believe will fix my issue. Downloaded the S1 app but it is unable to find the bridge when I go to set up a new system Both components have been reset and I have tried every option that seems possible to me Am I missing something vital here? Am I able to run my system with just the Play:3 and the bridge?
HiI set up a new group, no problem, but I cannot see this group in my device list. When I change a devices room it updates immediately in the device list but I still see no groups. So I'm lost in how to play spotify etc on a group without manually choosing multiple speakers in the sonos app, which also is not using the groups. What is going on? Thanks
Hi All,We have a SAMSUNG SMART TV FRAME and a SONOS PLAY 5. We tried to connect the play 5 to the tv (more precisely to the box of the tv), but it is impossible. We tried with :a jack plug hdmi audio return channel & DAC audio converter Bluetooth WIFI Anything works. The worst is that we tried with a mini Bose and it took 30 s to connect. Do you have a solution to help us ? thanks regards, PG & Hana

Some say that this prob

Hello everyone,I wonder when Sonos is planning to make deals with streaming services like Tidal and Qobuz to stream spatial music to Sonos audio systems. I was very disappointed to read, spatial music is only available on Apple Music and Amazon Music. First thing that was going trough my mind was: “Are you kidding me?” Why support streaming services which pays artist the worst amount of $$$ for each stream? Well… it can more worse, but lets be honest, Qobuz and Tidal are much better for artist support. That's the main reason why I use both of them. the 2nd reason is the high bitrate. With the new Era 100 and 300, costumers are forced to subscribe to Apple Music or amazon if they want to take advantage of their expensive hardware. Isn’t it time to make good deals with more streaming-services to have more to choose from? Same for Sonos voice control. Only full control with Apple Music. I love my Sonos system, but the support for streaming services are horrible. So that said, I’m much more
SONOS just did a forced update and my 2 speakers now cannot play the same music, they only work as separate devices. This is after multiple router reboots and device reboots. I’ve already been trouble shooting for an hour and I do not have time to continue, SONOS, WHYYYYYYYY???????
Hello Sonos Community. We’re (hopefully) in the process of moving house and I’ve got a connectivity logistics question I’d appreciate some help with.Currently we have a Sonos Arc plus a Sub Mini with 2xGen Sonos Ones as surrounds connected via eARC to a 55” Samsung Frame TV One Connect box where Apple TV 4K, PS5 and Nintendo Switch are all connected. As part of this house move, I want to reintroduce a cinema screen and projector into the mix but trying to work out how to reuse all the same AV sources without having to rewire anything but continue to use the Arc setup for all the sound. The Samsung OneConnect box seems to complicate things a little because of the proprietary cable to the screen vs HDMI and I don’t know how a HDMI switch might complicate the audio to the Arc.I had thought a HDMI switch initially so as not to confuse the projector which source is active at anyone time (otherwise ensuring all non used devices are switched off) but don’t know how that would work in this setup
Actually, I’m not paying $10k...but can get a really good deal on Sonus Farber (that’s not a typo; it’s Sonus, not Sonos) Olympica II speakers. I’ve never been an audiofile, but am fast becoming one having recently purchased Sonus Farber Lumina III floorstanding speakers a few months ago. They sound awesome at times run thru the Sonos Amp -- but it’s kind of hit and miss. I listened to the Olympica’s at the dealer’s shop with an AMP, and they sounded great there. But is it asking too much of my Sonos Amp to think it can drive the Olympica’s well enough to make the purchase worthwhile? I
My entertainment space is rather limited, around 3.5x3m currently having an Arc and Sub gen3. It would be nice to have a pair of Era 300s as surround speakers but I’m not sure if they would work in this space. Especially as I need to keep the shelf on the wall (I can move it but it has to be on that wall). This is the space, would it make sense to get those speakers here and if so, how should I place them?
Hi all!Got my pair of One SL setup today. Orignaly intended to replace my Play 3's for surround duties, but for now I have put them on left and right side of the Playbar. They sound really good as a stereo pair. However, I think they will become my surrounds and I will sell my Play 3's, and my single One gen 2 for one era 100,300 or maybe move. The other option is sell Play 3's, one gen2 and Playbar and upgreade to Arc, as a centerpiece of my audio system.Your opinion?Neven
First of all I apologize for my not perfect english.I bought a whole system with sonos arc + 2 sonos one sl.I spent a lot but I was super happy with the quality of the audio and the superb rendering of the dialogues. To my amazement I discovered that I didn't need the sub woofer as the bass was really full and high quality. However then comes the surprise: continuous sound dropouts made watching content frustrating. I had to pause, wait 2-3 minutes, and then resume listening. This happens really often. I replaced 3 sonos arc and they all gave me the same problem. Before sonos arc i had jbl bar 9.1 and lg soundbar 3.1.2, the audio quality is not comparable to sonos arc but they never gave me problems of sounds dropouts. To my enormous regret I have decided to make the PERMANENT RETURN of the sonos arc+ 2 one sl system and never to buy SOnos again until they decide to recognize and fix this crap! For now I would say: FAREWELL SONOSP.S. my own problems are reported by numerous users on this f
I have two sonos ones,a sub 3rd gen in living room plus two play 1s that don't connect to this system these did but my sub is showing 5540 MHz all the rest are 2422.my play 1s won't connect to this system now.I also use a sub 2nd gen with era 100,plus two ones in a bedroom but different system, these play 1s connect no problem to bedroom !! ..I have a wifi booster in living room to connect wifi to adapter in bedroom, sonos works no problem but play 1s now don't connect in living room sub or connect to wifi..any advice would be great as play 1s connect to bedroom sub but not living room, have tried without boosters and reset speakers...man from sonos says reset router and build new system ???or shall I connect everything to 1 system then move whatever speakers and sub to bedroom ,just want sub and speakers in 2 rooms.or what's the best way to build 2 systems on 1 wifi ???sorry if seems confusing and any help will be appreciated
