Controllers and Music services

I recently “upgraded” to Windows 10 from Windows 7.  No Sonos issues with 7.  No changes to Sonos hardware; running latest version of S1 O/S, music libraries up-to-date, Android tablet and iPad running latest S1 updates.My Win 10 desktop contains my music libraries.  I can operate all features of Sonos from this desktop just like under Win 7.However, unlike under 7, Sonos app must now be running or minimized on Win 10 desktop in order for any of my tablets to play any items in my music libraries.  Tablets accurately display libraries and their contents, but “Unable to Play xxx” is displayed on all tablets.  Exception: tablets can discover and play Sonos radio stations even with desktop app closed.I suspect this is a Windows 10 problem, not a fault of the Sonos software.  Have any of you experienced this?  If so, please describe any solution.

I often get no results found when searching on both Windows desktop app and IOS app. Here I searched for Hans Zimmer, and then selected the albums tab Sometimes it takes 3 attempts to get the results to display  

Hi AllAfter a few wines last night my partner and I started using our iPhones to begin curating a queue. Problem was (yes we’d been drinking) but we both at some point tapped on a song  instead of ‘adding it’ to the queue which resulted in the entire queue being replaced by that single song. So the entire existing queue was lost, or so it seems??? We certainly couldn’t find a way to return to the queue that was just playing prior to the mistake. Now I know you’d argue that it was a stupid mistake of our own carelessness (and you’re right!) but I’d guess that in the case of a party happening where lots of people are trying to queue up their favourites this mistake would happen fairly often, each time resulting in the loss of a number of queued tracks and being a massive pain to the person who was trying to keep the tunes going and songs being shut off halfway through playback making for a horrible listening experience for all involved. Would it not be a great idea to have a failsafe pop

I’ve done everything I can think of to get my connected device to be my music folder and it comes back with “unable to connect”. I’ve moved files to where the Music folder on ny hard drive and I get nothing. One thing I noticed is my mac inserts Volumes in place of MacMini (my hard drive),

Why can I no longer play Centreforce Radio through TuneIn or Mytuner on my Sonos system.   I am based in the UK and I believe Centreforce Radio is registered in the UK.  It was fine up until two weeks ago.  I am able to airplay from my mobile TuneIn app.

Apple lossless does not work on my Amp, it constantly drops or says not encoded properly.  Apple lossless works on all the other speakers without any drops, and if I group them, the amp stays silent.  Spotify works perfectly on the Amp.  I am using the S2 app when I play the music.  This started after the last update, no problems before then.Thanks for any advice.

When I select Manage → Add Radio Station, I enter the radio station’s URL and give it a name.  I’ve done this several times and I cannot find the radio station afterwards!  I’ve read elsewhere that it should be in “My Radio Stations”.  Unable to find My Radio Stations.  Also unable to find radio stations after adding by searching.  I just added one and gave it a unique name AAAAA, and still cannot find it!Where are these radio stations?  

I can't conect to my favourite tune-in station anymore "EPIC LOUNGE - restaurant Lounge". Is the radio station gone offline? or is is just my problem?

When using the Sonos app connected to audible there is a chapter selection screen that allows you to choose any chapter in the book. Unfortunately, when you click the play button next to a chapter, it appears to work but then playback just continues from wherever you were last listening.  This is incredibly frustrating when you want to listen to a book again. If it's a 30 chapter book and you were last on chapter 15 then you have no way of restarting the book apart from either pressing previous chapter 15 times, or pressing next chapter 15 times and then fast forwarding to the end of the last chapter. Even this would be ok if chapter selection was quick, but if you press back 15 times then it will go back one chapter at a time, play a tiny bit of a chapter and then skip back another chapter. Obviously you're going to get impatient doing this, so you end up pressing back 20 times, this then gets you to the first chapter eventually and then carries on restarting chapter 1 another 5 times

Just adding this thread to see if a solution has been found. As Im sure many others have experienced, in my Sonos app, not all songs in my playlists are available to play. Many songs are greyed out.  Lets get some urgency behind this problem and find a solution!’

Can't get my phones Bluetooth to connect to my sonos ultra soundbar. Followed the instructions and can't find the device or connect to it why?

We primarily used Sonos to play our own very large music library, saved on our mac.  Last year, we suffered the same fate as everyone else, ie the music library was unavailable after the update.  There are no good tech people in our household, so alot of the workarounds are left to me to stumble through the suggestions online.  I tried some, to no avail. I have pretty much ignored the issue for the last year, but it’s been long enough that I’m hoping the problem has been fixed and that there is a semi-easy fix to get our music library playing again.  Googling the issue brings up thousands of threads from over the last 12+ months, but rather than reading a year of dialogue (alot of which clearly pre-dates any fix), i’m hoping someone can cut to the chase:  Did sonos fix this?  If they fixed it, can someone walk me through the fix on a mac? Music saved on the mac, not on an external harddrive.  Walk me through it like i’m five - don’t just say stuff like “then you need to save the flange

I am a long time Spotify user with a house full of Sonos. I love the UI of Spotify and the music discovery ability. I also love that I can play from the Spotify app to my Sonos system at the same quality as via the Sonos app. HOWEVER, I am getting very frustrated with the lack of hi res audio on Spotify.I have been testing Spotify vs. Amazon Music and to me the difference is obvious. (And Atmos mixes when done right are very cool.) I would consider switching to Amazon Music or Apple Music or Tidal for the high res audio, but in order to get the highest resolution to stream, it needs to be played via the Sonos app. That's fine if I know exactly what I want to listen to, but that's not often my process. I cannot stand using the Sonos app for music browsing. It just doesn't do it well. I have no problems using the Sonos app for speaker configurations, etc., but it's jut not built for music discovery.Is there any high res service out there that will stream full resolution audio to Sonos di

Two mobiles, two users, two Sonos App installations, one ERA 100. I have a Qobuz Duo account and would like one Qobuz user account on one mobile (iPhone) and mine (the ‘System Owner’) on the other (Android) Can’t seem to achieve this as the Sonos app only recognises one Qubuz account - am I missing something?

Anyone want this feature !! It shouldn’t be too complicated to do ??

Hi,beam is updated. Sonos Anroid app is updated. Google account has been connected. Still youtube in sonnos app cannot show music lists or search doesn’t find anything.Sonos radio is working.Has anybody suggestions ?So dissapointing.

Our new home came with a Sonos system in the media room, which we love. We decided to go all in with the Sonos ecosystem and have bought several new products for our entire home since February of this year. The request/complaint is, why can’t we save the volume for these specific groups, or at least remember the last volume setting!? This is quite surprising, to put it mildly. Sonos does so many things well, and this feels like it should be a basic function for such a premium (cost and quality) sound system/ecosystem.I know I’m not the only one who feels this way!! 

When I open the Sonos S2 controller on ios (latest version, on iPhone16), it takes over a minute to find the speakers on my system. Quite often it then says it can’t connect when I attempt to select a different speaker. This problem started after the latest update to the controller app. It is not a network problem. If I open the controller on my Macbook, the speakers appear immediately and can be controlled as expected. Looks like this might be another example of Sonos breaking the app. Very frustrating. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and found a solution?

Ive tried multiple times but its not working. Every time i try to reauthorize it redirects me to Apple Music to sign in and after it redirects me back to sonos app to reauthorize again. I tried deleting apple music from sonos and reconnecting, also tried turning off my sonos product and checked for updates. Now im all out ideas and seem to figure it out, any suggestions?

For the past week, since the latest Mac update, my Mac OS desktop controller will crash and can’t be accessed.  Through a few chats with Sonos support, the issue appears to be the Local Network settings under Privacy & Security.  Force Quit the Sonos app - go to that setting and toggle the Sonos access - restart the app and, voila, problem solved.  But…...a glitch that should be addressed?

Hi, I have two speakers: a Play:1 (wired to my router) and a Symfonisk Bookshelf (wireless). Both are on the same Sonos system and I can group them manually, but I want them to always play together by default, whether I start music from the Sonos app or the Spotify app on iPhone. I’ve tried looking for the “Group on Autoplay” or “Group with…” options in Settings, but I can’t find them in the current Sonos app. Can someone explain the exact steps in the latest app to make grouping persistent, or confirm if this feature has changed/been removed? Thanks!

I just downloaded the third-party app Sonify which released earlier this week and from a first impression it is much faster than the official app AND provides lockscreen controls on my iPhone incl. physical iphone volume buttons for volume control! How can it be that a third-party app does it better and gets released to the app store which somewhat suggests that lockscreen controls are not only reserved for Apple and Spotify apparently… 

Same or similar issue has been raised before but I could not find a solution that worked for me.I want to play tunes I have stored in My Library through my Sonos system.I subscribed to Apple Music (though all these tunes are downloaded from CDs I purchased), I added Apple Music to my Sonos list of music and content.I now see that some tracks (a lot) are greyed out and not playable through Sonos. They are playable through Apple Music.I do this through an iPhone.I was trying to resynch/reindex (?) Apple Music to Sonos as I recall having to do it when I first set it up but I cannot remember where to do that (if even this would help).I saw some info about Apple Music needing to recognize my tracks (if they don't have it in their catalog, then that might explain why it’s greyed out) but these are the tracks I am looking to play, these are “mine” if you will.Many thanks in advance
