Actually, I should not be shocked that there is no way to remove a speaker, or in my case a Sonos Connect.  After all, this is Sonos!  I have a pair of Era 100 speakers arriving today, and was planning on setting them up in my living room, using the same name as the Connect -- “Living Room”.  I just read in several threads you have to wait until they just drop off from the network.  That is insane! While we’re on the subject, whoever named these speakers “Era” should be fired!  Sounds like “Error”! If Sonos did not make such great sounding speakers, I would have dumped them years ago!

Any button I press it asks me to sign in, I do then try another button and it asks me to sign in again

Can someone help me understand why apple music sounds so much better on my sonos devices when played through the sonos app than via my apple tv?

Hey,I have finished the trueplay setup using borrowed IPhone for my Beam Gen2 +Sub Mini+2 Era 100s.  Now I want to disable the trueplay for sometime and enable it later.. I remember it was possible with previous versions of sonos app, is there anyway I can get it done with current version of sonos app on andriod phones.Appreciate any hints!!

Hi.Have a sonos beam gen 2 and sub mini. Sometimes listen to sonos radio. The problem is after a short while it stops playing. If I try and restart all it says is, couldn't play content try again Have tried reseting my phone, unplugging the beam gen 2 which means I have to reconnect to my network but still the same. Have now done this more than once but still the same.Both the Beam Gen 2 and sub mini are less than 3 months old. Would be greatful of any suggestions or recommendations. ThanksEddie

I used to have a Cocktail Audio X10 device connected as my Sonos Music Library to stream my 50,000+ tracks. This stopped working some while ago and I believe it is to do with it using SMBv1.Since then I have connected the X10’s back-up 2TB drive and connected it via a USB hard drive bay and set it as a share and then mapped it to Sonos as my Music Library. Two days ago this worked, but it was my back-up drive that was out of date I wanted to use the actual X10 drive. I removed this, set up the share and defined it to Sonos. Nothing, it does not seem to recognise it even though it is shared and defined correctly. Tried back to the back-up drive and that does not work now either. The only thing that does work is if I define the music directory on my laptop, which only has a few albums in it..Any suggestions to resolve gratefully accepted as I currently am unable to listen to all my  music. 

The desktop app sucks all of the sudden.  Please fix this and revert to local controls.  Theres no benefit to me to be cloud connected to Sonos servers in order to use the software for the devices i purchased.  No one asked for this and frankly, its unacceptable.

I know there are a lot of forum responses on this - but what is the fix for Apple Music not wanting to play consistently from within the Sonos S2 app?? I rrauthorize daily and it still is very sensitive if I can get it playing at all. In addition, the AirPlay says it’s unable to connect as well. I have Sonos Arc, amps, Five etc and most recent software. 

For the past few days I have been unable to pay music from Amazon Music on any of my Sonos speakers. I get an error: “Can’t play “song name”. It’s encoded at unsupported sample rate 3145728000 Hz.”I have tried removing and adding AMZN service. I have the latest App and Firmware updates. (This was happening before and after most recent app update) My AMZN service is working fine on other devices. I have powered off/on each speaker. I have powered off/on my phone and even restarted my Internet connection.Has anyone had this issue and been able to resolve? I have searched the FAQs and community and haven’t found anything recent on encoding errors that look like what I’m seeing. Screen grab attached. 

After every two or three songs (on Apple Music+ in the Sonos app) the Atmos badge still disappears around 20 seconds into the song. The music reverts to normal stereo.I have frequently called customer service and gone through all the diagnostic steps, restarting etc. I also created a topic on this community page. Sadly after more than 6 months nothing has changed. The topic was even closed for further discussion. I know there are quite a few other Sonos owners with exactly the same problem, and wonder when there finally will be a solution to this extremely irritating and embarassing (when friends come over) situation. 

Does Sonos have a dowloadable app for an Apple MacBook. The web based version is utterly terrible.

Hello,I am a user in Japan with an active Amazon Prime membership. I have been unable to play Amazon Music through the Sonos app for the past few weeks.When I try to play a song from Amazon Music using the Sonos app, playback does not start and I get the following message (see attached screenshot):  "Go Unlimited. Listen to this music and tens of millions more songs with Amazon Music Unlimited. Sign-up at https://www.amazon.co.jp/music_on_sonos".Amazon Music and Sonos are already connected.  (Japanese UI, translated below, see attachment 2):  "Thank you. Amazon Music is now ready to play on your Sonos device. You can return to the Sonos app."Despite this, playback still does not start.- Amazon Music used to work fine with Sonos previously.- I am using Amazon Prime Music, not Amazon Music Unlimited.- The account connection says it is completed.I have already searched this forum for solutions, reinstalled the Sonos, Alexa, and Amazon Music apps, and performed a factory reset on the Roam

I am trying to play internet radio station TMM 1 (The Music Machine) on my Sonos system (two Symfonisk and one Play 5) using the S1 app on my iPhone, iPad and Windows laptop (all up to date)It just plays an ad, then “Welcome to TuneIn” then another ad and just keeps repeating. I just added a gen 1 Play:5 via the S1 app. I understand that I can group non airplay devices using the S2 app, but that option is greyed out and unselectable. Is there a way to get this to become ungreyed?

Over 15 years with Sonos. Once again, the App at the point of not useable. I have 9 Sonos components and getting more frustrating every day. When I go online it shows 3 of the nine are connected.There has to be someone at Sonos that know what they are doing. SONOS IS FAILING.

Since the App update in spring of 2024 the “Artist Radio” functionality of Tidal doesn’t work correctly via the Sonos app.Only the first song plays and then the playback stops.  There is no “Play all” button.Present App version: 80.24.37 on iOS 18.6.This has been raised in several threads (all closed for comments now) and it seems that Sonos has several times said that it’s a known issue.Does anybody know if Sonos is every going to fix this?BestJon

Bonjour, depuis quelques temps difficile voir impossible de connecter Sonos à Napster. J’ai déconnecte ma sonos puis réinstaller avec un mise jour, déconnectée Napster puis reconnectée et re autoriser et toujours pareil. Point d’exclamation rouge sur l’onglet Napster lors d’une recherche. Je trouve bien l’artiste, album, playlist. Mais aucune liste affiche une fois sur l’artiste/album sélectionnée. Un message d’erreur « une erreur est survenu, essayer à nouveau » Merci de votre aide 

Sonos really need to sort out their app. I have a very simple setup: 2 sonos era100 downstairs & 1 roam2 upstairs. App never works smoothly controlling upstairs, downstairs, & whole house. Never works first time when roam2 timed out and reconnect. It's a rubbish app.

I can't seem to find equaliser anymore since the last app update. Android user: Archive, Sub and One SLs.

I’m having issues updating alarms in Sonos. I can open and delete and I can also create a new alarm as long as I don’t make any changes to it, but the moment I change the time, repeat and sound it doesn’t save.The app is up to date and I’ve tried restarting my phone, (Galaxy A40), resetting the app, reinstalling it and have also turned the speaker itself (Era 100) off but so far nothing has worked.If anyone could help I’d much appreciate it as I rely on these alarms to get ready for work in the morning and my starting hours can change on a weekly basis (hence why I need multiple).

Why does your system force all IOS users of your app to expose their exact GPS location to simply connect a speaker to a base station?  

I am trying to set up my playbar and use the IR to use with my new TV and remote.  When I try to connect with the app, the app does not let me log in.  It get stuck in the endless loop.  I have reset the playbar, I have reset the router, I have installed and uninstalled the app, I’m using android.  Is there any way to do this?  I have read and researched but none of the suggestions are working for me.  Any help is appreciated

Hello team,does anyone else find JioSaavn music service to be very temperamental?now when I click it it doesn’t show anything.ive gone to reauthorise but after logging into to JioSaavn and clicking “authorise” on the Sonos app, Sonos just hangs with a spinning circle.

I have had my Sonos system for many years without an issue until the new app was released.I use the S1 app successfully until recently, when the system stopped working.Through trial and error and help from websites I have got the system working and managed to connect and load my music libraries.All the songs and artwork is loaded and visible. However, it won’t play. It keeps saying there is an error and won’t play.Apple Music and radio etc all play fine, but My Music library will just not play. Any solutions very welcome. Thanks
