i’ve seen this on an old topic which is now closed. Playing wxrt on audacy on my sonos (original play1 speakers) and it will start up plating and just stops after 5 minutes or so.  sometimes it will play all day if i leave it on but lately im lucky if the station plays 10 minutes. sometimes it comes back on but usually not. if i have the app open, it just shows  that the music is stopped and i can hit the play button to resume. but again it my stop again a few minutes later. it’s not my wifi. if i play the same station and app on my receiver with bluos, it plays fine and doesn’t disconnect.

Persistent system problems. The beauty of Sonos since I bought my first speaker over 10 years ago was that after setup it just worked.  Now it’s a lottery every time I open the app whether the system will be recognised and it takes an inordinate amount of time to do so. Today I wanted a quick listen to a radio show but more than one minute after opening the app there was still no sign of my system and gave up. When it does eventually recognise the system and I start to play some speakers are completely silent and then burst into life halfway through a song randomly. I have reset the speakers too many times, factory resets etc. the environment hasn’t changed - the wifi hasn’t changed. Sonos left me which reluctantly means I have to stop buying Sonos products. The very thing that makes it good has gone which was the usp.

Nightmare; just spent 3 hours on various efforts to make my S1 app connect to my two long serving CONNECT units. Has been working for years without any problem, but they have now dispappeared from my S1 app. When I try to open the S1 app, it somehow connects to my parallel S2 system, and suggest I upgrade to S2. Have been on a chat with the UK chat and the dutch chat support, but the chat connection dropped 4 times while working through this. There may be a workaround with shutting down my whole S2 system, then resetting the app, disconnecting/reconnecting the CONNECTs, but really? Problem is compounded by the fact that you may reset it for one OS, but I have 4 (W11, W10, Android and Ipad). When the app works on one operating system, trying to connect with another breaks the Sonos-system again.The early adapters into the Sonos universe are not well served here. Is there anyone with a suggestion?

As reported here:apple music recently played not showing on apple music app after using sonos Apple Music updates to Recently Played in the Sonos App remains an unreliable mess.  Has there been any progress on this matter? 

Hi All, Does anyone know if you can play Radio 3 Unwind ‘Sleep’ episodes on Gen 1 Sonos? I want to play the sleep section from unwind but the live broadcasts don’t start until 11pm I really need them before that time. I have searched everywhere but can't find an answer. I have BBC Sounds on my Sonos app, but there doesn’t appear to be a ‘catch up’ option.

Hello, I own 7 Symfonisk speakers at my workplace.While streaming Sonos Radio I got no problems, with flawless audio streaming in all of them.But if I try to use any of the other (Amazon Music, TuneIn, and Qobuz tested) some of the speakers stop to play randomly and with no apparent reason. So, I can’t use any of my paid subscriptions.Any suggestion? 

Hello,I use to play music in my restaurant with Sonos Radio, but since yesterday the service give me an error everytime I select a Sonos Radio station.I’m not able as well to subscribe to the Sonos Radio HD service by the subscription page.

been using Sonos for years and suddenly, 1 week ago, I was not able to update my Music Library (usb connected to the Router as a NAS).Sonos App says “//XXX.XXX.XXX.X/MP3_Router’ is no longer available. The device storing your music files may not be turned on, or the path may have changed.”nothing changed, Router, network, settings…..any idea what it could be?

I know this is a long shot, but is there any chance that Sonos could develop a simple app for WearOS? It wouldn’t even have to be full featured: simple play/pause/ffwd/rew controls would be great.We had a simulacrum of this with the old Sonos app, which correctly registered as a media player with Android so it could be controlled from the notification shade and the lockscreen, which meant it could also be controlled by the watch, but this has been gone ever since the new app came out.

At the same time, I was having trouble checking my Bank balance because the branch was closed and the app was slow to refresh.What stood out was that I also had trouble using certain features in the Sonos app during that period. Music playback worked locally, but account related sections and some controls were slow or failed to load until the connection stabilized again. It made the whole experience feel fragile when multiple services are slightly degraded rather than fully offline.I am curious how others here handle situations like this. Do you rely on local playback setups or specific Sonos app settings to reduce dependency on real time service access? I am trying to understand how much resilience I can realistically expect from

I use sonos for playing old cds from music library.It now seems that it has duplicated albums and juggled the order of tracks around.Very frustrating as playing cds was the main reason to buy sonos.I can't face dealing with support again as it wastes loads of time. Any ideas how to rectify the duplicate album issue? ( they're OK on the laptop , so it's not the source material).  I have updated the app ( samsung A54) and the laptop plus tried to update the music library to no effect. This is subsequent to the phone app crashing a couple of days ago with message it's due to a bug.  Retry when developer resolves bug.  Also some songs have gone missing from sonos but are in the source directories  Has anyone any suggestions as to how resolve this?

Was having trouble giving Sonos S1 access to my iTunes library hosted on TrueNAS Community Edition 25.10.1 (Goldeye) and figured it out with information from this forum and the TrueNAS forum, so posting this to help others that are also struggling.Step 1: Configure the SMB service in TrueNAS to “Enable SMB1 support” and “NTLMv1 Auth”. Security folks will tell you this is insecure, and it is in 2026. Anyhow, let’s continue.Step 2: Create your SMB share in TrueNAS and give it proper permissions (not documented here. If you are using TrueNAS you probably know how to do this already)Step 3: In the SONOS app, add the TrueNAS network share to your music library.Step 4: Wait for music to syncStep 5: Try to play music from your library. System has 15 devices and all running latest Sonos software.  Been a long time user (10+ years) and been through a lot of bumps over the years.  Right now running Mac OSX Tahoe 26.2 on a M4 Mac.  Both iPad and iPhones work flawlessly all the time, but the Mac about every 2-3 weeks cannot find my system.  I am so tired of the usual restart everything ( router, computer, speakers, amps, etc) that I want to trash the whole system.  If I'm sitting at my office and using only my computer I can rarely control the system.  Why the simplicity of the iOS and the lack of OSX reliability.   Haven’t changed a thing in the house, running fiber at 1GB same as always, with good coverage everywhere.  I refuse to run all over and disconnect and reconnect for 2-3 weeks of use, someone explain why one works and the other doesn’t.   All I hear is that must be a network issue, but if iPads running only on WiFi work why not the Mac?

Hello!Not sure if it's Mac OS related or Sonos app related but I can no longer find my system on my Mac mini. My iPhone works fine and my MacBook Pro also works fine discovering the system. I have deleted the app and reinstalled, made sure network and firewall access was enabled and still nothing. Anyone have similar issue with a fix? 

I have started to notice that new playlists when created in Apple Music are not syncing or even appearing in the playlist option in my Sonos app. if Io delete an old playlist is is removed and disappears from the list on both app and desktop. but if I recreate it, it is not seen anywhere apart from inside Apple Music on the Mac or iPhone.I have removed everything app / service from both Mac & iPhone but it has made no difference, also I am getting duplicated playlist I have 4 copies of the “Favourites” I am using S2 system with iOS 26.2 and latest Sonos app and firmwareI have tried everything I can think ofAnybody got any ideas?  

I changed my email and logged in with my wife’s, for 10 days I listened to any South African radio station. A week back out of the blue I was unable to stream anything but uk stations excluding all other international radio stations. So please do not tell me it is not blocked by Sonos. I have 5 speakers on the Sonos 2 controller standing there like white elephants. Why can google stream foreign radio stations, and not sonos. We invested large sum of money in systems that are useless. Why are the international facilities available but not functional?I spent 4 hours on a live chat to US yesterday just to finally tell me I need to call UK they will look into it?

Trying to play music from itunes on my pc through my Sonos Era 300.It would appear itunes is able to identify the speaker, but when selected there is no output.The Era 300 is labelled “Living Room”

Each time I turn on Sonos radio, or change stations, it plays for a minute or so, then jumps back about 20 seconds & repeats what's just played. Just once each time then plays normally.Anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions for a fix??I tried resetting both speakers (One & Roam). Haven't reset modem as I'd then have to set up all other 'smart' things.Thanks in advance!

I’m getting the Couldn’t play Sonos Radio try again message. How do I fix it?

I thought all the Apple Music playback issues are resolved since the meltdown. But apparently not. New install of Beam Gen2, when playing back from Apple Music playlist, every 4th song or so it will loose the connection be quiet for 10s and then reconnect and pickup the rest of the song or skip to the next one. Quiet annoying.Beam is connected to very good Enterprise WiFi network, and the TV it’s connected to has no network issues.Is this a latency issue, since I’m not US based? Maybe device trying to use US cloud back-end needlessly? Or something else that isn’t well engineered.Quit disappointed.

Hi all,I tried many time after updating to iOS 26 and wanted to connect with Sonos app to my Sonos play 1. But it does not work and even when I connect cable it works but once I take out the cable again it is gone and not working. Anyone know the issue ? Thanks
