Controllers and Music services

Hi there,When I try to add a new music service to my system, I get an error that states:”You have reached the maximum number of music service accounts that can be added to your Sonos system. Please remove an existing account before adding a new one.”Does anyone know what this limit is? Has it changed at some point? I couldn’t find any info in the forum or support site that specifically called out the limit or error message.Interestingly, I have deleted a couple of services but I still get this error, so at some point in time I was able to have more music service accounts than I have now (30 accounts over 26 music services, plus one voice service (Sonos)).Thanks. 

So i have been reading threads on plusnet and here.   With sonos removing the ability to play music from my tablet with the app on it, i thought i would try out using a USB in the back of the router as a basic NAS So i have gone to library / add new share screen,  input some info, it then goes away and comes back, nothing added,  so its not finding the path, the three lines i tried are below  but is the  slash  / or \  (As sonos preinput)//pnhub2/usb1smbclient //pnhub2/usb1 -U GUEST -I 192.168.1.254(Blank) The other factor is I'm using a usb splitter.

I listen to podcasts on my Sonos all the time, using Pocketcasts. The vast majority of the podcasts work fine, but for whatever reason I cannot get Bill Burr's Monday Morning Podcast or Sarah Silverman's podcast to play on my Sonos system. I can play them on Pocketcasts on my phone, it's only when I use the Sonos app to play them that they don't work. Sonos is going to blame Pocketcasts, Pocketcasts is going to blame Sonos. How do I listen to these two podcasts like I can the other 20 I subscribe to?

Hi I am having issues connecting to my music library on USB connected to my router. I get error codes 900/1000/1001 using S2 app on android and on the Windows app. I have just changed my router to Draytek 2766ac - I have been through every setting on the router but still cannot connect. What am I missing? Its driving me insane because had no issues doing this with last router. ThanksTony.   

Ive added my Spotify account and my Wife’s Spotify account, and the identifying names are showing in the Services & Voice screen to differentiate between them. However in the Browse screen it just shows the name ‘Spotify’ twice so its hard to know which account you are browsing from. Is there any way to show the nominated account names in the browse screen?

Ok I am not sure I am going to be able to ask this correctly, but I will try… We currently have an S2 system with multiple speakers.  We mostly use Apple Music for all of our cloud music uses and Sonos is no exception.  Here is the problem, I would like Apple Music songs we play on our Sonos system to not affect the algorithm (play counts, recommendations, etc) on my Apple Music account.  The songs we listen to as a family (two young kids) and the songs my wife plays for work (preschool) are greatly affecting my Apple Music listening experience on my own devices.  What is the best way to get around this?  I am hoping to make an Apple Music account with a “Family” Apple ID, but how does that affect the Sonos app and voice control?  Just trying to wrap my head around this and see if there is a solution… Thanks!

With the app unloaded, now tapping the Sonos S2 app icon open Sonos to the last used speaker groups music queue instead of opening to the speaker group.Previously tapping on the widget album cover or tapping on the S2 app icon would open S2 to the My Sonos or last used speaker group page.All widget touch points appear to work correctly. To be crystal clear, this appears to be only an issue when tapping the Sonos S2 application icon from a home screen or from the app tray.  I'm not sure why opening directly to a speaker group queue would ever be desired, and if it were to be an option it would be one that we should be able to turn off.Tested/confirmed on Android 13 on Pixel 4a and Samsung S22 Ultra. 

I play Spotify from my iPhone 14 on my Sonos 5 and ERA 100 at home.  Then I leave and play Spotify through a bluetooth headset (Sena 30K0 on my motorcycle.  I’m happily riding along and the tunes stop.  When I can check the phone, I find that Spotify has switched to Sonos.  I switch back, but a few minutes later it happens again. I’ve made sure I have the latest update of the Sonos and Spotify apps, closed the apps, and powered off the phone, but it still happens.  Any idea what is going on and how I can stop it?

Big Sonos user, using it throughout my house daily. I just put down a downpayment on Trimlight lighting, which has music sync capability. I’d love to be able to have my lights beat to my Sonos system. Talking to the Trimlight guy, he says I would need to connect an Aux cord directly in to my Trimlight box (from a Sonos speaker). Is there a Sonos speaker or way that I can do this? Any thoughts? 

I have read that Apple down-mixes Dolby Atmos so that it can be delivered via Apple Music using AAC 256kbps in stereo i.e. they are simulating Dolby Atmos in stereo and I guess this is why they call it Spatial Audio? Does anyone know if this is correct, or whether Spatial Audio is in fact being delivered using the Dolby Digital Plus codec without down-mixing.  Long story short I am trying to figure out whether Apple's Spatial Audio (and Amazon Music Unlimited I guess) is using all of the Era 300’s drivers or just simulating through stereo when playing via S2 app.

Also, I would like to be able to distinguish albums from singles or EPs.Especially if an artist has a large catalog, the app does not provide enough information to navigate it. 

I have lots.of Sonos gear,... and been a user for 6 plus years... Never had an issue with streaming the BBC,.and negotiated the Tunein/BBC Sounds change with no disruption. Suddenly yesterday morning I was unable to connect to BBC Sounds. 'the  connection to BBC Sounds was lost'. I've reauthorise, deleted reconnected etc. Yes, my account thas a UK. Address.etc.I can Bluetooth from my phone or tablet to a Move, but nothing on all the speakers.  I've tried my usual favourites and direct from the BBC service. Has anyone else had this?  Is it an update issue? Have Sonos and the BBC fallen out (again!) Any help would be appreciated Cheers     

I’m the Sonos account holder in my household. Others in the household use the Sonos app on their devices without signing into my Sonos account. I’m noticing that changes I make to “My Sonos” (e.g. adding a favourite station or playlist) gets reflected in the “My Sonos” tab of other members of the household, even though they aren’t signed into my Sonos account.Is any way to configure user profiles for the “My Sonos” tab (or some similar concept) so each person in the house can have their own “My Sonos” favourites and tab configuration?

So here's a weird problem I have this morning. My Sonos app on my iPhone refuses to see my Sonos Port but my Spotify app on the same iPhone has no problem seeing it and streaming music to it.  Any ideas how to get the Sonos app to see it? I have tried restarting the app multiple times.

I had a functioning S1 system a mix of Play 1’s and the original S3. I tried to help an exercise studio I use who were having trouble with their Play 1.  I brought it home and mistakenly ended up upgrading my Play 1’s to S2 but the original Play 3 and bridge aren’t upgradeable. I have now removed the bridge and the S3 is running on the S1 app. When I try to run the S2 app I get the  “Sonos found on NETWORK NAME” message. I don’t want to run the S1 app so I go to Options. if I select Forget Sonos Sytem will that mess up the existing S1 system?  I have already caused upset with My family - quite understandable and just need to get the S1 & S2 system running and if I can, prove that the Studio’s Paly1 does work which I now know is set to run on the S2 app.Happy to try another route just don’t want to be going down more rabbit holes. thanks 

We typically select music through our Sonos app, select the room we want to play, select the artist (for example George Michael) and then select George Michael radio. But the radio option isn't even showing up. Spotify is connected to the system and I can play artist albums and playlists - that one feature doesn't appear though anymore? we had work done on our smart home unit and, even though I have rebooted everything, I wonder did that impact something. how do I get Artist Radio back?

For Amazon Music Unlimited tracks, is it possible to switch between Dolby Atmos and Ultra HD within the S2 app (presuming both formats are available for the track being played)?You can switch easily enough in the Amazon app.

I have 2 Symfonisk speakers that I use together with my wife. I mostly use them via the Sonos app or Spotify while my wife prefers using Airplay. Now we have the problem that often when my wife tries to play something via Airplay, her phone shows that she’s connected to the speaker but the speaker plays the last thing I played via the app instead of what she chose on her phone. Has anybody had a similar issue and found a solution?

I love controlling my Sonos system with the proprietary desktop app and the S2 app on iPhone. One of the most convenient features when listening to Spotify was the ability to tap the heart icon (within the Sonos app) to easily add the song to my Spotify account’s Liked Songs playlist.What happened to this feature? The icon was located directly to the right of the “next” button on both mobile and desktop Sonos apps but now is silently gone.I understand there have been some changes to Spotify’s approach where they’ve replaced the heart icon with a plus icon (at least on their mobile app). This allows for more control on what that button does, i.e., which playlist you want to add it to. So I understand the Sonos integration may be limited now with that added layer of complexity. Perhaps half question, half conversation starter. Anyone else notice this change?  Is there any info or knowledge on what happened to this heart icon?Cheers

i use sonos connect. sonos software is up to date on all devices (11.10.1). i have about 100gb of mp3 in my music folder on mac (less than the 65,000 limit). ALL albums in certain folders (e.g.- Los Lobos, CSNY) do not play and album artwork doesn’t load as in other folders. error message on devices and mac is “the song is not encoded correctly” even though it is mp3. i have updated music index numerous times with the same result. i have been using sonos connect for over 10 years and never had this problem until recently. nothing new has been added to my system. any known reason why this is happening? any suggestions on how to remedy it?

Speakers that do not have bluetooth, only BLE, probably not.  Even those with bluetooth (as a sink), possible not. The speakers may not be capable of connecting to a bluetooth source and bluetooth remote
