Hello my name is Sebastian, I am having trouble working my Sonos speakers through my iPhone while on the app. Only my Sonos Five and Play 1 1st gen allow me to change the EQ’s and adjust volume through the app. The Beam gen 2, with two Play 1’s “1’st gens” as surround speakers and Sonos Move seem to be connected to the app. However don’t allow me to change the EQ’s or ad them to a group. I also can’t Airplay or play music from the app to those two speaker, if I just wanted to listen to them individually. For some reason it is working perfectly fine on my dad’s iPhone through the app, he can connect to all speakers and control volume of each speaker but it’s just not working on my iPhone through the app. If anyone can help me out with some troubleshooting, that would be marvellous.  Regard Seb 

Since downloading the new app (not a fan like everyone else it seems), my system defaults to one speaker. The backyard speaker. It’s not a huge deal to turn that one off and switch it to the speaker I want but is there a fix somewhere in the app?

Why must we take multiple steps to see all our speakers (the “system”)? That's always the first thing I will want to see. If I need to turn a speaker off or lower volume urgently, I have to go through way too many steps to find that speaker to make adjustments. So frustrating.

I have some older speakers running on the S1 app, all no problem. Trying to add a My Cloud Home network drive to hold my Music Library but can’t seem to add it. In my S1 app I get error code 900. On my Windows PC I edited the settings using regedit as suggested in the help but still no success. I can see the drive on the PC no problem and can access the folders and files okay, but in Sonos on the PC I keep getting an error (see screenshot). Since the new upgrade (?) on the Sonos app my Spotify will sporadically drop from playing on my arc when played from iPhone. It never happened before and nothing else has changed. 

HelloI’m trying to calibrate my system but during the TruePlay procedure, I’m stuck at the second step right after rotating my phone… When it says to face the TV, I keep pressing the « continue » button but nothing happens ! It seems the app becomes unresponsive because I need to close it and restart it.I’m on the latest version of iOS with an iPhone 14 Pro. My system is an ARC + 2 x ERA 300 + Sub.Thank you

Radio.net has been removed as a Sonos service at their request. This was an important service for U.K. listeners as it gave access to non U.K. stations. I think this leaves us with just my tuner allowing us in the UK access to the world since Tunein/Sonos have blocked non U.K. streams. My tuner blocks access on other platforms - are there any other options for UK listeners ? 

Haven't been able to achieve connection for two weeks.  At times it's seemed connected only to have my system say there are no products connected and start the process over or have the process not work.   what gives ?

new app does not connect with speakers except the play bar; it won’t connect to WiFi, except the play bar. I don’t know how to get the WiFi connected, help?

I installed the Sonos controller update on my iPad Mini (with current OS) and found it now could not play some radio stations. They were still available on the Windows 10 and 11 controllers.What happened was that clicking the Play arrow on the iPad started an animated circle within the arrow which never stopped. I think this problem was limited to stations marked "TuneIn" as opposed to "Sonos", but not certain.I was able to add new favorites, sometimes the same station like KQAC, as a "Sonos Radio Station" and they appeared on both Windows and the iPad and seem to work OK.Other stations (WMNR for example) existed only to be selected as "TuneIn" but with a difference: the stream now came filled with advertising.I have left the old WMNR favorite in place to avoid the ads; curiously it still appears as a Favorite on my up-to-date Windows-based Sonos controller, but is absent from the list on the iPad.

I have tried resetting device, resetting network, re-adding, etc etc etc. everything is hit or miss with new app, before I keep trying, has ANYONE been able to re-add product on the new app? 

Unbelievable. I can’t use my sonos in my office because it keeps switching to the kitchen.  This is the WORST app I’ve ever had the horror of using. AND it’s so slow it’s comedic.

It appears that the SMB protocol must be updated to at least version 2 with the release of the latest Sonos app. It is related to the issue many people are having with their Music Library folder. Here’s a short video that explains how to get and activate SMB V2.  

Like many my system was just trashed by the latest S2 update. However I still have an old Play5 that is running on an old version of S1. It is trying to make me update that now also and since all my newer Sonos stuff is now useless thanks to S2 update I am reluctant to update my last piece of functional sonos. Has anyone had any luck with the s1 update or should I just keep the limited functionality that the old version still allows?

Why won’t this new app update allow me to easily add music to the queue. The only options are replace the queue. What happened to that functionality? Why have they made it so difficult or taking it away?

In case anyone was having the same issue was having. I updated my Sonos app and Sonos speakers to the latest versions as of May 24, 2024 and the Alarms were still not showing in the Manage section of the app. I tried force quitting the app multiple times, deleting the app and re-installing the app, etc.What solved the problem was on the iPhone was to reset the network settings of the phone.In iOS go to Settings-->General-->Transfer or Reset iPhone. After selecting Transfer or Reset iPhone select Reset. After selecting Reset various options appear. Select “Reset Network Settings.” After the phone reboots sign back onto your wifi network. Open the Sonos app and the Alarms became visible.Hope this helps someone else in the same situation.

It’s very difficult to perform the simplest of functions like raise or lower the volume in the new app. For example, I try to drag the volume line to the left to lower it and it doesn’t respond. Or try to increase the volume by dragging to the right and many times it actually lowers the volume.It’s like the app cannot tell my fingers are going right or left.This is very frustrating. Are people having the same issue and will this get fixed?

Did Sonos just remove the ability to play digital music from one’s own music Library? I can’t seem to find any of my music from my computer within the sonos app - it only searches online streaming platforms…. If this is the case then the death of Sonos is near

So, we’ve got a SONOS Playbar for 7-8 years now, and a Play:1 in the garage. It’s been working mostly flawlessly since we had it. We had a bit of issues with connectivity, but since plugging in the Playbar to ethernet and using SonosNET, it’s been pretty good. Queue a few days ago, when my wife went to play some music in the house after not using it for awhile. She had a new phone recently, too, so it had the latest update on it from recently being setup. It refused to play, and was only playing through the Play:1 in the garage. If we try and play anything to the Playbar by itself, we get the generic error message of “something went wrong”. The Playbar occasionally would even disappear for a moment or two from the app. It does not seem to matter from where I’m playing, iTunes Library, Music, Amazon, Sonos, etc. I started to look at it, and my phone had the same issues, even though I was still using the older version of the app. The same happens after the

After years of listining to the Sonos community talk about replacing the clunky old app, I want to thank Sonos for listneing to us.  The new app has beautiful, easy to use graphics and layout.  It looks great and is easy to use.  Congrats on a job well done Unfortuantely I’ve also had a few other problems.  I wonder if others have had the same problems. Can’t group rooms anymore Can’t control volumes in multiple rooms can’t find my radio stations can’t find the alarm settings extremely low volumesAm I alone in finidng these problems?  I’m sure that since the app is so nice to look at, that it’s impossible that these problems are created by the app.  I’m sure the problem must be pn my end.  I think it’s completely reasonable to expect some minor gliches in the rollout and I’ve just decided to turn off the speakers and wait until these problems have been resolved.  No big deal.I can’t wai

Hello. I cannot add music to my playlist in the new app. I can only replace music. Before on the old app I could do that. I am using YouTube music.

The day I updated the app on the S2. my TV room system magically disappeared from my system. Tried to add the system back, was forced to update the app. Downhill from there. Added the system, couldn't register is with my account. Restarted all speakers, router, modem, wired it in, nothing. Found out that I needed to reset the app, was able to register my speakers. Woo! 2 days later, here I am.. I have 2 systems and only one works. Beam + 2 One SL’s working great. Other room, Arc SL, One SL, One, Sub Mini, working part way. Sound comes out, surround is working, but I cannot control anything from the iOS app.When using the iOS app, you can see the room, select the room but nothing will work with it. Select Spotify, it just spins. Select the other room, music will instantly play. Watching TV, cannot control volume, or select a source. Using the Web App, I can control the room, select a source, play music from Spotify (on the Sonos web app) but OS app, nothing.  

Again, another issue post update to the app. Apple Music searches would not let me play music through the iPad or my iPhone. I tried removing Apple Music from my services in the app and then re-adding it to the Sonos app, but I met with a “something went wrong. Please try again” message.  I’ve attempted to do this using both my iPad and my iPhone.  WHAT ACTUALLY WORKS SONOS?  Your entire ecosystem is in shambles and I can’t even use it.   

Why is it not possible to save a station from DR, livestation in favorites. I get af message that says something like “ try again”
