Controllers and Music services

I can see this has been asked many times but I've yet to find an answer that solves my issue.I have an Amazon playlist of around 900 songs and growing.This playlist shuffles with no issues on my phone, however not via Sonos When start Sonos either via the app or Alexa I only have access to 500 songs and they don't shuffle properly. There are a fraction of songs which continually shuffle, but most never do.if I shuffle via Amazon and connect to Sonos, I apparently have access to the entire playlist, but again only they same few songs play again and again.I've refreshed music, deleted Amazon and reinstalled and the same with the Sonos app.I love my Sonos system but this is doing my head in.I really don't want to change music streaming platform, but do any other platforms work better?Many thanks ​​​​​​

[redacted] [redacted] A new Sonos controller Actually some people do want more of 1 or 2 but nobody wanted Sonos to “fix” the perfectly fine controller app. What a debacle but the pompous hubris of CEO Spence (uh I guess we should have communicated the roadmap) and CPO Bouvat-Merlin (took courage to launch a new UI) is insane. You guys don’t get it. After hustling us thru the S2 upgrade to now punk us all on this new controller so you can get the headphones shipped is a humiliating kick in the crotch to your loyal user base including this one of 20+ years. Dear All of Management, It is now several weeks since you launched new apps on Android, IOS, MacOS and probably Windows too.Since then a lot of old functionality has gone, the only functionality remaining is streaming. By this you have frustrated a lot of previously happy users. Me one of them.Why did you do that?In the IT-Business it is normal to launch new (replacement) software after development, after fully testing, with usually the functionality of the old software mostly remaining.You chose not to. Why?You chose to only reinstall Music Services but not the local library function.Why? Are your customers who have great pleasure in their music library’s not important enough?From a marketing point of view this is all very strange of you. If someone asks me now wil you advise Sonos, I will have great hesitation. By letting me and others down for several weeks, with no advanced warning at all, well it makes the company unreliable. Recently moved so setting up Sonos on new network.  Some of our speakers (Beam, Move) we added with no issues.  All our other speakers (another Beam, 5’s, 1’a, subwoofer) have been added to our network successfully.  I can see them in the Sonos iPhone app - they show as  “not registered”.  They will not register with Sonos and I get the error message “There was a problem adding your Sonos 5 to your system. Try again later.” . Any suggestions beyond resetting everything to factory settings or unplugging my router (all have been done several times with no success). appreciated. 

To sonos management -  i cannot now play my music library through sonos (the only reason i have a sonos speaker system)   You wiped it from the sonos controller with an update and now i get error 913 when i try to restore.Unbelievable shoddy work.please come onto this community blog and advise me and everybody else in this position when you will correct this monumental cockup.Alternatively expect a massive exodus of Sonos users. 

I use my Sonos app on an Android phone. The new Sonos app doesn't appear to have a navigation function to allow me to go forwards or backwards while I'm listening to audio books in my Audible (Australia) library.

Please, Sonos, the mobile app should immediately play a Sonos favorite when I click on it! Why does it bring up another page on which I have to press play? If it’s a favorite, probably safe to assume I want it to play when I click on it.

Sonos, your new app is not at all intuitive and feels like a marketing committee’s attempt to smash all of the relevant things into whatever THEY felt was “cool” Do you have a way to roll back the UI to the old version?  I play certain playlists every night and one of them is a playlist I put on for my boys, every night.  The Sonos Playlist is now two layers deep, and not even listed alphabetically.Seriously.  What is wrong with you people?! You’ve taken it upon yourselves to make the app completely dysfunctional from a UX perspective. What a mess.

Does anyone know where this feature is on the new app? Sonos are yet to update their guidline and documentation.  the new feature play.sonos is causing havoc, 

I sent an email to ceo@sonos.com and got a reply. This was the same defensive reply as others have received.So I replied outlining why this did not really address my concerns.I have just received a reply to my reply and it is basically the same text as the reply that I expressed my concerns to.They really are not listening all they are doing is sending the same PR message.

My radio stations have disapeared. I found some instructions to add a URL manually which I did. It says it should now be in “my radio stations” in TuneIn.   There is no “my radio stations” in TuneIn.Can anyone point me to real instructions that work.Is this a fault with TuneIn, or have Sonos screwed things up again?

It’s the new App. It’s appalling. Hard to navigate, slow to load. My speakers have stopped playing in stereo. Sometimes the next song in the playlist plays, sometimes it doesn’t.  At last I can see my favourites and Apple Music but loading is slow and painful.  Come on Sonos. What has happened to make you ditch a good app for one that will not meet basic requirements. Timescales please. 

FIP disappeared. What happened? Please tell me it’s temporary as this is the only radiostation I listen to. 

Since the latest upgrade to Sonos I can not figure out how to add songs to a Spotify Playlist. Can anyone help? Thanks

Does anyone have the Soro App and could tell me if it has the function to toggle Trueplay on/off before I purchase it?

Having read some very old threads here, I think I know the answer and it seems have provoked some emotions but is it feasible to add Sonos to our office desktop environment?I ask as we are wall to wall Sonos now … inside and out. The only areas NOT yet having it integrated are the kids gaming environment (have posted the Q elsewhere but surprisingly no answers yet) and the office desktop PC.In an ideal world it would be great to integrate a Sonos solution rather than a third party one. I have a pair of One’s that I’d like to upgrade to Era 300’s and this would be a nice chess move.I suspect the answer is no but just to ask if it’s a possibility in 2024 …. for Sonos music  streams of course but also the normal Windows sounds. Many thanks in advance

Went to use my sonos to find it has been updated. This update has completely disabled all my speakers. Can do absolutely nothing with. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail. How is this sorted??

Now, nada. How freaking rude. Really hard to imagine they would treat loyal customers this way. I’ll be looking to hack the holy frack out of these 9 Sonos speakers. Disrespect for disrespect.

Since the new app was forced on everyone several of my rooms devices keep disappearing from the app. I have to power cycle my Beam over and over again or hold down the sync button on the back to get it working again. My amp for my patio disappears as well. This is ridiculous. This was not an upgrade this was a serious downgrade. Don't get me started on navigating the new app and all the features that are now gone after the update. I've been a long time Sonos customer and have always promoted it to everyone I know but with this update and the prices of the equipment that's a no go anymore. This is absolutely terrible for all customers and a total failure on the part of Sonos. Fix the app or go back to the old controller app.

Posting as a separate topic as it will get lost in the main announcement topic because of the disastrous app release.The web app. Can it be disabled? I do not want my Sonos system available on the web and have zero need for a web player when there are phone and computers apps. At the moment when using the apps I could only access Sonos whilst on my home network.I really do not like the idea of my system being available on the web. You don’t even use 2FA.

Many users were looking forward to seeing all the songs tagged as Favourites in Apple Music appear in the playlist - Favourite Songs. However, when you start to play the playlist, you get the spinning wheel of doom for about 2 minutes and then nothing.This feature working would be so great. But also, being able to write tags back to Apple Music, like flagging songs as Favourite, or Add to Library but I realise, I’m asking way to much here!!!  

Why do I keep getting a error message that I'm not connected.  No product found.  Very slow response times now. Much slower than previously. 

Basically the new app is unusable with my system. Can I return for a full refund? I need to switch to something else. So upset with this new app and sonos.

Hi - we have a paid subscription to Spotify and recently the Sonos fails to connect to Spotify, saying after very few seconds, timed out.   This is on Macs and the mobile App.  It can find other spotify music (recently played and playlists). I can play an album on the Spotify App then access it via recently played on Sonos, but not if I go to my saved album section.
