Controllers and Music services

Android App I have a large collection of flac files from my CD collection on a local network drive which Sonos has access to.  Navigating this using any of Artist, Album, Song is impossible in the new app because it’s not possible to scroll efficiently.  Basically I can only listen to A-C artist/songs/albums, unless I want to spend 5 minutes finger swipe scrolling. For the sake of all artist/albums and songs past the letter C, please fix this. Has anyone figured out a workaround to this lack of efficient scrolling controls?

App does not load the playlist to view when you have random play selected. It loads when the random is not selected, what is the issue with this  

I have not yet got over the shock. My panic attack is ongoing. Without my knowledge or consent the Sonos outfit have raided my system and removed my music library and with it all functionality. The library and the playlists built over years gone! Having invested heavily in Sonos as a faithful early adopter, I now have no music. Is there any help available? Ask “Help” where my playlists have gone into a “Pinned Collection “ and there is no such thing! I suppose the Sonos burkes think they can sell me their own playlists, I suppose they must have an AI that knows more about me than I do. Such conceit, how can I ever recommend Sonos to my friends again when they only have contempt for me?

I’ve just purchased a new Mac complete with Sonoma os.  My old Mac (with Ventura I think) hooked up to the Sonos S1 controller no problem.  All my stuff is S1.  The S1 controller will not load with the new OS.  It does not get past the upgrade portion.  I’ve poked around a bit and tried a few fixes with no joy.  System settings/privacy and security/accessibility among others.  Nothin works.  The Sonos controller still works on 2 iPads and 2 iPhones, but I can’t access all my play lists in iTunes with out the desk top controller.  Any thoughts?

After update my speakers show up . Can group my 2 play:1 . Sonos 1 is there and shown but when I try to add it to the others or group it it won’t play and says function not available try again later .I can play it by itself but not with others . This is silly this is the unit we take to our patio 

With the latest 5/7 app update, does Spotify now have a 50 playlist maximum? I cannot display all of my playlists. I can search them but there is no way to browse all of my playlists anymore. 

Dear Sonos decision makers, As you insist on pushing us apps that are clearly underdeveloped and refuse to react to your customers requests (1000s of them) in any way:Please make the API to the speakers sufficiently open source to allow the community development of an alternative Controller App.You don't want to give us the app we want, ok. Please give us the means to make our own.  Would Sonos please consider this? 

Hello all,I’m struggeling to get my Beam Gen1 reconnected wirelessly to my system and I’m at my wits end.Everything was working fine: I had my Beam connected to my TV, just added a Sub Gen3 and had a One and a One SL as surrounds.Suddenly one day my Beam, Sub and Ones have disappeared from the app. Other Sonos devices in my household continue to work fine.All 4 missing devices show the same behavior: the light is white and if I press the play button it flashes red and goes back to white. I’m focusing on the Beam for now because I assume they all disappeared together due to the surround setup.Things I tried at this stage:Rebooting the Beam by removing power: no change Rebooting my router: no change Remove power from Beam, rebooting router, turning on Beam: no changeI didn’t change any router settings in the last months.So I decided to factory reset the beam (which shows up correctly on my TV menu by

Since the update my system has become virtually unusable. I cannot select a room in which to play music, none of my services will play and I cannot seem to fix it! Tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling, logged out, logged back in, restarted my phone, all to no avail. When is this going to be fixed?? I’m never going to recommend Sonos to anyone again! Absolutely furious! 

Hello,I’ve relocated my Sonos after being in storage for awhile and having some trouble.  Previously I remember it appearing in my Airplay options, but now when I’m using Apple Music, it’s not an option.  If I’m using Spotify or Audible there is an option to connect to my Sonos and Apple devices, but not in Apple Music.  How can I fix this?

Diagnostic: *********** I have updated my Windows device and accessed the Music Library for an update but it has not picked up the 1,300 plus tracks added over the past couple of months - I know they are in the library as I have had to download to I broadcast to enable.me to play them back but I'd sooner not be reliant on the cloud for my music when I bought the system to access my own network device  Moderator edit: recorded and removed diagnostic number (identifying information)

I can't see any album artwork from my local library in the updated Sonos App. Anyone else have the same problem?

Hi, just installed the new Sonos App. I do not find the Timer (Counrdown to Zero) any more. Loved this function to play my favourite playlist for 15 or 30 minutes when going to bed.Does anybody have an idea where to find the timer? Or is it gone?

I recently lost connection to my pair of Sonos One stereo speakers. After resetting both devices, my Android controller app is unable to detect or set them up again.Could this be related to the recent app issues Sonos has been experiencing? I saw that some Wi-Fi fixes are planned for mid-June. Will I have to wait until then for my stereo pair to reconnect properly?Any insight from the community would be greatly appreciated! I'm hoping to get my Sonos setup working again soon.

Now PC App stopped connecting. Just asks to update itself, but no new version. Resetting it wont help. reinstall wont help. WebApp works https://support.sonos.com/en/downloads This is absurd. I give up.

Ever since the latest app update (May 2024) we cannot get any of our speakers across various rooms in the house (beam, arc, etc) to play their own audio source  without causing issues with other speakers in the house. With major troubleshooting efforts being tried over the last few weeks we are over it!!  For example to fix tv audio issues (please note all our speakers are set to tv autoplay and have never had any issues before this app update)  we’ve found ourselves turning off and then back on the tv in question to fix that room’s audio - only then to find that doing this kicks off any audio that was currently playing out of speakers in other rooms. For extra joy, when we try to get a 2nd tv audio back to functioning what we get is audio from the 1st room playing on the speaker in the 2nd room.  We have spent a ton of time troubleshooting since this app update and are so frustrated.  Right now we’re left with having to have only speaker in the house with its selected

In previous versions of the Sonos app, the Sonos Systems Settings for the Arc, used to show the audio in settings (Stereo, Dolby Digital 5.1, etc).  In the new app this does not display.  Additionally, I occasionally get no audio out when I turn on the TV using my Apple TV remote. This also happens occasionally when I switch the streaming app on the Apple TV 4K from one service to another. To rectify the situation, I have to open settings in the Apple TV app, and change the temporary audio out settings to the Arc. 

Hello, Today may 14, the systeem checked for updates, so I did.And my music library disappeared. All settings are ok, file sharing is on, password is ok, but Sonos keeps saying acces is denied. Check the username and password. Yesterday I noticed the android app was updated too, and music library was not an option anymore.So what is going on and how can it be solved?

When doing the walking bit of tuning is it recommended to cover the whole room (mine is quite large), or is it better stay within the listening area?

Just updated to the new Sonos app and I know folks are having a lot of issues, but have folks noticed that within the “About my System” page, the “Audio in” option is blank even when audio is coming through? On the home page, when I select the window showing what is playing, it shows the type of audio (PCM 5.1, Dolby Atmos, etc.) so I know it is working, but any thought on what’s going on with the about my system page? also, on that same page, it is showing my Arc has “WM: Disconnected” even though it is physically connected via Ethernet and my sub and 2 Ones are connected via Sonos net. The arc did switch back to showing sonosnet randomly, but this seems odd. Never had any issues with the previous version as it was rock solid. It also showed WM:0 and then displaying the type of audio.  anyone else have this issue?

I have created Amazon Music playlists inside the Sonos app, is there a way to get them out of the Sonos app and into my Amazon Music app?  

Can anyone give me insight on why the change up on the application?  It was well organized, easy to navigate around:  I’m totally lost with the new change on the Sonos app with the black background.    

I noticed about a year ago this was happening for multiple people, but the topic was closed.  So -- it’s still happening for me.  I reauthorize SiriusXM and it seems to work for a day or two, but then fails again.  It’s not always the same channels either.   Any update on this?
