Sorry, but the new Sonos app is a step down from the previous!

The journeys are not smooth and more convoluted than before and the app is even slower than the previous.

Each time I want to use my system, I am first prompted with this screen for a long while, before my system appears.

Please Sonos fix these things. Your hardware is great, but the software requires significant improvements

 

All my streaming services are no longer connecting.


New sonos app is a totally disaster, it just doesn't work and should never have been released in this condition. 

The attitude from sonos about this absolutely stinks and they have distroyed their credibility and fan base in one foul swoop.

An apology is overdue!

Quite correct.

Time they swallowed their pride, rolled back the app and develop the new app further before releasing. 

I'm sure plenty of people would be happy to beta test.

Ah, now that is the question alright. 

 

Here is their published plan - I’m hoping adding to Playlists will be under ‘improved playback settings’… 

 

  • Continued improvements to navigation for visually-impaired customers: mid-June

  • Playback controls including mute and volume numbers: June

  • Local music library search and playback: mid-June

  • Improved playback settings including Play Now: July

  • Create and edit local music library: July

  • Improved Autoplay settings: July

  • Improved Sub audio settings with Amp: July

  • Snooze alarms: TBD
