I cannot control volume via the buttons on my phone?

If using the Sonos app, you haven’t been able to control Sonos using the volume buttons in almost a year. Apple prohibits the hard buttons and lock screen controls from controlling 3rd party hardware, and told Sonos to stop with the hack they were using to get around this rule, or risk being banned from the app store.
