Sometimes I run the app and I find my library under the sonos favorites. Sometimes it just isn’t there. Is there a place I can go to always find it?

 Apparently Sonos has forgotten that they have a great number of audiophiles (like you, myself and others) that have a vast collection of  personal tracks that was on a variety of media types. Sonos seemed to be the centralizing solution that I needed to convert thousands of albums, tapes, CD’s and such under one roof. To me accessing these legacy tracks made Sonos the premiere hub source. Good thing I backed up those converted files on a network-attached storage drive, not to mention saving my legacy playback devices. I personally apologize to the hundreds of friends that I persuaded to try Sonos.BTW, if it weren’t for the “dinosaurs and such” in the music and electronics field (like me, we wouldn’t have streaming audio. Sonos, fix this!

The latest version of the Sonos controller (S2) is really disapointing. Lot’s of feautures are nowhere to be found:Alarm setup Possibility to link to home library Add to reading list (play after...) When playing the top titles of an artist (through Deezer service) it only plays one track at a time instead of playing the whole list one track after the otherAnyone knows if this problems will be resolved soon? Thank you!

I am probably being stupid but how do I search for music to play when I am in one of my rooms. I want music to play in the bedroom but it may play in the kitchen so I have to go further into the system to get the bedroom playing and cancel the kitchen. There doesn't seem to be a way to ask just the bedroom speaker to play when searching. Any suggestions?

My Sonos Port is in Fixed Volume Mode and connected to my A/V Receiver. I have no idea how, but somehow the device got muted (solid green light), and I can not find the unmute function in the iOS app. I also can not the function to take the device out of Fixed Volume Mode. Any advice?

I have Amazon Music on my Samsung Galaxy and have enabled the Sonos app to play from Amazon Music. I added extra tracks to a playlist the other day but they won’t play as the playlist appears to be limited on Sonos to 100 tracks only. Does anyone have a fix for this? Thank you!

Please provide a way to go back to the old version ASAP. I use Sonos almost exclusively for my local library as it seems many people do and you have again (think bricking...) completely misunderstood your owners and people that have supported and invested in your products for decades. Congratulations on creating another media disaster for the company. I am sure the new app is trending on all platforms with angry users and people looking for alternate products. PLEASE LET US GO BACK to the old version until you sort this out.   

The new app broke my system. On the android app, I lost all connection with my radio stations (sonos radio and my tuner radio) and it’s impossible to delete the music services and try to add them again. The only thing that still works is casting directly from spotify app.My windows 11 computers are all unable to find my devices on my network and it’s impossible to update the app from whitin the software. The only thing that still works properly is the web app…I’m never buying a Sonos product again

Just updated the iOS app and I don’t see any way to search or access my local library on my computer.  I know this was the case when Sonos updated the search feature in the S2 app, but now it seems like there’s no “classic search” option.  What’s the deal?

Ever since updating to 80.01.30 on my iPhone and iPads, the Sonos app is extremely slow and unresponsive.  Volume and channel changes take an extremely long time to execute.  Antone experiencing the same issue? 

I’ve recently changed my Wi-Fi, which is working perfectly for all mobiles, laptops etc. I have the new Sonos app on my iPhone, which has identified the new Wi-Fi, however I can only connect to my speakers via a LAN line. When I remove the LAN line, the app states an error finding the products. The new app takes me to the same advice which doesn’t work. 

Following the new App release I can no longer access my NAS server to play my personal iTunes music  - What’s Happened to My Personal Music Library?! I was about to spend even more on Sonos kit upgrading my 2 Play 5s, but if I can no longer play my locally stored music then I’ll find another system that will. I already have a Spotify account so no issue subscribing to that, but my main means of listening is to my personal music - please bring it back!

HiI can’t change the room I play my music in with the new app. I select the room I want (and deselect the one I don’t want any more), but when I tap “apply” it reverts to checking the room I’m trying to move away from.  Is it just me?  I’m using the new Sonos app on iOS. (BTW I’ve stopped using my Sonos system for the time being - I can’t search my huge music library and I can’t play the music in the room I want to. I gather there’s a new update coming out in June?  I hope it at least renders the app usable!)

My Sonos Playlists aren't showing on the main page of the new app. Is anyone else having the same issue?

Hi I use absolute radio but , unlike Apple , it does not have an option log into my absolute radio account , so I have to listen to the adds ! Is there a way to associate my premium aboalute radio account to my Sonos account so it plays without adds ? 

I and other customers should’ve been warned from downloading an updating their app, as I didn’t download it until almost a week after it was  available. Sonos is conducting bad business and possibly liable for our damages. Sonos knowingly had us download an app that wasn’t ready and is damaging my Wi-Fi and knocking me off-line at least 50 times a day. They knowingly had us download the update and after the first day, they knew it was corrupt and they still let us download it. I didn’t download it for about a week after it was out and I should not have been able to. They should have acted in good faith and warned me.  They’re arrogant defending their crappy product because they’re afraid of getting sued and they should be. I’m a civil litigator in Georgia and I’m seriously considering filing a lawsuit. I’ve had the Internet/cable company out twice already for Service related to this horrible app.  This is no different than if Sonos sent out a virus and damaged all of our computers.  Eq

When trying to play Spotify on my iphone i have no control through the phone lock screen, the music is playing but i am unable to turn the volume up or down through spotify or the phone controls only when i use the sonos app, which honestly is a terrible app. My phone needs to be unlocked all the time as i can’t get it on the lock screen any longer. Any tips on how to get those options back please?

You’ll learn a lot about Sonos’ management in the next few weeks/month with how the respond to this cluster*.  Do they listen, realize and admit that this was a mistake?  Or do they just keep moving “forward” in spite overwhelming reaction to this disaster? I’m old enough to remember when Coke changed the formula and rolled out New Coke.   They took something that was great and loved and completely ran it into the ditch.   Management ultimately swallowed their pride and brought back the original but the damage was done.What amazes me is that there had to be lots of people beta testing the Sonos app before it was released.   No one spoke up and said that this is garbage?    It a bad sign that no one spoke up and an even worse sign if no one realized it was horrible.Worst app I’ve seen in a long time.  Nothing about it is intuitive.  Navigation is confusing.  Can’t change between playlists...if I’m able to find playlists.  There’s a lot of content that shows up that I don’t want to see. 

Bluntly speaking, the Sonos app update is making me consider leaving Sonos. I have heavily invested in my sound system but I can tell that the cultural move towards streaming services and not owning your music is phasing people like me out. I do not like Spotify or Apple Music or any of those services and hence why the new app format is useless for my needs and in fact makes it annoying to access my personal music collection. I understand that this is a toothless attempt at fighting piracy and owning physical media in favor of forever renting music media, but it should be noted that the new app is terrible for those of us who just want to stream our own collection via WiFi. What do you guys propose I do in order to get the best experience from using the Sonos app? I really don’t want to abandon Sonos but the app’s overall update direction is increasingly making it feel inevitable.

This app sucks. All I want to do is play my music. I dont care about services. This new app buries my own files. Crap!

Since the new update I am unable to edit the queue, meaning I cannot add songs to queue. I can only replace the queue which allows me to only play that song and nothing plays afterwards. Is there something I’m missing?  

Why is there no network to connect to in Sonos app?! I’ve done everything to get my system back up and running. I’ve followed all the Sonos help topics and it’s garbage! Please help

According to an article in The Independent yesterday (25th May 2024) SONOS says “it is “moving quickly” to improve its new app, after an update that led to widespread outcry”.In addition..”It said that it was “fixing bugs and performance issues” while working to add features back into the app. A new update, released earlier this week, brings back support for Apple accessibility features, the option to play music from a local library and the option to add and edit alarms, for instance.”“Our latest update resolves some of the most critical known issues, but know we have more to do,” the company said. “We hear your feedback and are working hard to deliver the experience you expect and deserve.”Anybody got the update and installed it?. I checked yesterday, and several times this morning, but no sign of any updates to V80 of the App or V16.2 on my Mac (I’m in the UK if that makes any difference to a release).More smoke and mirrors from Mr Spence me-thinks while he surveys the pile of money

So...I haven’t used the app in a while.  Today I went to move a Sub Mini from one to the other.  I now see I’m missing tons of equipment on the new app.  Is there any way to get it all back without having to go through set up again? I’m missing like 6 Sonos Amps, sound bars, subs, etc.  The new app seems like a trainwreck.
