I recently purchased two Era 300s and while Atmos content tag shows and music plays fine on the Sonos Amazon Music app the atmos tag will not show on the Sonos Apple Music app. I have tried everything (disconnecting Apple Music, reconnecting, rebooting speakers, factory reset, etc.), I even waited 120 minutes to speak to a tech rep who incorrectly was convinced I needed to have 3 separate Sonos speakers to play atmos music… is anyone else experiencing this issue?
Hey guys, first time posting here, long time lurker and reader. I recently came across an issue with the new Sonos app and the authentication for Apple Music, long story short, the solution was resetting all of my devices on that system and setting them up again as though they were new.
This solved the authentication issue, and I am now able to play Apple Music through the Sonos app once again. However, after this solution, I seem to have lost the ability to stream atmos songs through the app and Apple Music specifically.
Amazon Music still allows me to stream atmos music with the little badge that makes sure you know it is working.
I am currently using a Beam Gen 2 and two One SLs as a pair of surrounds. I have tried every combination of turning on and off the spatial feature in the settings, killing the app, signing in before/after those steps etc.
Please let me know if anyone is experiencing similar issues with just streaming that format through the app, and what you did to solve it if you did. Cheers guys, hope I included everything you need to help me out.

Ditto. Works with Amazon music but not Apple Music.
I have the same issue today. Was not an issue before. Created a reddit post to also raise the concern

Same thing here. I just dropped over 700 on these two speakers, and I can’t get access to what’s promised. Not only is it annoying I have to use their stupid app (which is ugly- integration not bad, but leave the app stuff to the professionals), but I don’t get Atmos on Apple music. After rebooting router signing in, factory reset after factory reset, nothing worked. I set a free trial for Amazon Music, and boom, there is the dolby atmos symbol.
$740 for mediocrity.
Another complaint: the volume default is way too, and I LOVE loud music, but my god, did they crank these speakers up.
Hey Sonos,
It is not our router. It’s your hot steaming dump of a garbage app.
Sincerely,
New buyer, but about to return if this doesn’t get solved fast.
Hi
Welcome to the Sonos Community!
Thank you for reporting this issue, but in our own testing we have been unable to reproduce this issue.
Could you please try playing the following track:
It’s Rocket Man by Elton John.
If you play this track and do not see Dolby Atmos reported, please submit a support diagnostic afterwards and post a screenshot of the screen you see above. Please don’t post the diagnostic numbers, however - just let me know you have submitted and that’s fine.
Thank you for your assistance.

Same problem here, please let me know if you find a solution!
Looks like issue has resolved itself

Not sure who moved my post here and said that “someone found the best solution.” Did you read the thread? It just suddenly works for the OP. They have zero actual helpful information in the thread.

That was me - I thought you were more likely to get help in a thread where there was already an on-going conversation, rather than in a new, separate thread. Also, it was yesterday - before things started working for people again! It’s still the best place to continue this conversation if things are not yet working for you as they should.
I also have a right out of the box ERA 300 that will not play Apple Music at all. But the rest of my SONOS system still does. I contacted text tech support. Sent in my diagnostics. Tech support did not give any answer to help. The product and new ARC sound bar are going back in the box tomorrow to be returned. $1500 for a speaker set that won't play?

Hi
Sorry to hear of the issues you’ve had in trying to play Apple Music to your Era 300. Am I right in thinking that you posted here in-between the two chats you had with support and are now satisfied?
