I thought to share what has been a complete solution to my MacBook woes of getting Sonos S2 to stay connected to my library.Obviously I checked all network sharing etc etc but some times it would connect, sometimes it would drop out and refuse to reconnect.In frustration I removed the Sonos app, downloaded and installed fresh - no improvement.Solution:Remove the app completely using an app removal tool - I used App Cleaner (free) Re load the app as a fresh install Follow instructions on identifying where your library can be found (Music on my machine) It works and stays working !I think some data file is created during install that hangs around messing up the system that needs to be got rid of and a fresh install create a new one.   Works for me on Sequoia 15.5

Amazed to see that I was actually able to create an alarm today using iOS app ( after several days of attempting to do it and troubleshooting with zero success,)  However, is defaulting to the annoying chime sound instead of playing music playlist.  Can we get an update from Sonos on what is happening? I am spending way too much time on this and trying to troubleshoot it on my end when it’s clearly something wrong on the back end  

Why? When was this EVER a problem? Ever since the car crash update 3 or more years ago blocking the use of iTunes playlists etc. You all know the one?! I have  had Sonos for a decade until that update it was stellar, since…. let’s not go there…. money spent Sonos do not care, obviously… sorry my router is in a cupboard... 

I purchased the Sonos Era 300 for Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio with Apple Music — a flagship feature marketed prominently by Sonos. After 8-9+ months, this functionality is still broken: tracks play in Atmos for a few songs, then degrade to stereo with no fix in sight. Sonos support confirmed this is a known issue, but there’s been zero communication, acknowledgement, or roadmap update. This needs urgent attention from engineering leadership — not Tier 1 support loops. So frustrating not to be able to use these speakers for their MAIN SELLING POINT, and no communication or action apparent from Sonos despite acknowledging it’s a known issue

I was finally able to get my Sonos One onto the network with my new router, after calling Sonos Support.I have added Amazon Music and SiriusXM as Content Services. When I ask Alexa to play Channel 31 on SiriusXM, Alexa says “playing Channel 31 on SiriusXM,” but doesn’t play anything. Similarly it tells me playing (selection name) on Amazon music, and plays nothing. If I use the Sonos app to select a song from Sirius or Amazon, the speaker Does play it.Also when waking Alexa, the Sonos One does not chime, the white light just flashes, which is unusual. How to fix these glitches?

I have two Play:1 speakers that generally work well and play across the various services I have. However, one of them won’t allow me to play a specific radio station via TuneIn (nor Sonos Radio) -- WPFW, a public station in Washington, D.C.Speaker details:A:  Play:1 Version: 17.1.1 (build 85066270) Hardware Version: 1.20.1.6-1.2 Series ID: A200 B: Play:1 Version: 17.1.1 (build 85066270) Hardware Version: 1.8.3.7-1.0 Series ID: A101 If I try to start listening to WPFW on Speaker A, it looks like it’s initiating but then just returns to Stop.  If I start it on Speaker B, it works fine.  If I start it on B then group it with A, both play it. If I then upgroup B, it will stop on A.  In short, the only way to listen to it on A is to have it grouped.I don’t seem to have this issue with any other radio station, although I guess it’s definitely possible given the number. Anyone have a clue as to why this may be happening? No updates pending...

I have just returned to Sonos after a few years of no Sonos gear. I got 3 era 100s.  I remember that when running trueplay the tones were quite loud. But when tuning the era 100s the tones were quite quiet. I’ve done some playing around and I’ve realised that trueplay sets the volume of the tones to whatever volume the speaker was set to prior to activating trueplay. This is advanced trueplay with iPhone.  I am not altering the volume once trueplay starts. I thought trueplay defaults to a preset volume? Just in case someone asked here is a diagnostic ********* any ideas?  Moderator Note: Diagnostic recorded and removed. My Sonos is saying Not Connected.  Support told me to factory reset, but I have a huge number of playlists.  I just can’t lose them. I restarted wi-fi, but no luck. What will happen if I connect the speaker to my router with an Ethernet cord?

Sonos will be working fine and then the app can’t find my speakers and prompts me to update my network. Which means I need to re-add my Sonos products. I set it up and a day or two later, same thing. It’s getting really time consuming and frustrating. Any suggestions?

Sonos speakers no longer play when I use Spotify.  Keep getting “no content” messages for both BedRoom and LivingRoom speakers. Completely frustrated with Sonos since the day I bought these. 

With the latest versions of the iOS app, when trying to play favorites or recent listens, I get the error “This content is not available” for any album in the shared library. However, using the Sonos app on a Windows PC, the same favorites play without any issues. Is this happening to you as well? Do you know how to fix it, considering Sonos support didn't go beyond asking me to restart the phone and reinstall the app?

I’m seeing many callouts amplitude.com, some appear to be persistent.  I sometimes operate on a network that won’t permit that.  This appears to sometimes break Sonos.  I see no reason for this to be happening, however.Anyone else seeing this?   There are other callouts it’s making to adnxs.com, branch.io, google-analytics.com (there may be others).  These don’t always succeed, either and that should not interfere with the functionality of the system configuration.I have seen where my speaker configurations get wiped when Sonos app can’t succeed in certain API callouts, for example.Looks like there needs to be some code improvement.

I just purchased a Roam 2 and downloaded the Sonos App.  Connects to Apple Music easily, but there is no option to add Sirius XM.  I have a streaming account and the App is current.  I’ve seen others with connection issues - that’s not my problem.  SiriusXM doesn’t even appear as a service that can be selected.  

I highly doubt the issue reported in has been resolved from a technical implementation. If it has been great.Today my housemate encountered another unexpected behavior. Their Apple Music account needed reauthorized. They clicked the right places and provided Apple password. The screen said the password was wrong, even though they were sure they used the correct one. The cancelled the re-authorization process. At this point their Apple Music account had in fact been reauthorized for use on Sonos (as evidenced by being able to browse their content from Apple Music within the Sonos app). But, the Sonos system had replaced their previously input account nickname with the First and Last name on their Apple Account. Clearly this isn’t intended or wanted behavior-- users don’t like to fuddle with things just to have them undone by some broken software workflow. We set the nickname again, but this doesn’t have to stay broken.

I recently ran an update on my Mac OS to Sonoma v14.7.6Some of the button functionality changed on my Ace headphones. The side button no longer starts and stops my music and instead calls Siri, same behavior whether I short or long press.I tested my headphones on my phone and everything works the same as it always has, so this seems to be an issue only on my desktop OS, not the headphones themselves.I ran a firmware update from the app on my phone. This started causing even more strange behavior with noise cancellation not entirely canceling the noise, so I ended up trying a factory reset. That also went sideways because I could never get a blinking light to indicate they were reset. However after many attempts, my phone recognized them as a new device, so something happened.After a lot of resetting, re-pairing, rebooting, and changing settings, I finally got the noise cancellation to work properly on my Mac OS. It required disabling the new “sidetone” and “adaptive “cancellation” feat

Is there a fix for fragmented albums. I am re ripping all my cds and compilation albums are showing an album for each artist and I cannot select the whole album

Newbie on Sonos, so apologies if this is a basic question.Sonos Era 100 is set up with my son’s Spotify account as the primary account.  It’s authorised and shows no connection issues.When using Sonos (not Alexa) voice commands to ask for a track contained in one of his playlists, it seems to constantly play completely different tracks.  When asking it to play a named Spotify playlist, it doesn’t respond.Is there a specific phrase that has to be used for Spotify content?Thanks

How dor I listen to Sirius radio on sonos?

Hello. I have recently moved house and need to connect my Roam to the new Wi-Fi. I’ve looked online and it suggests I have to go into ‘Settings’ but I can’t find this anywhere. I’ve looked in ‘Account’ but this just has my profile details not the Wi-Fi. It’s driving me mad. I’m on IoS and IPhone 6. Thank you

Anyone else have this issue?If I play a song direct in the apple music app on my iPhone (ie through the phone speakers or my AirPods Pro) it will show as Atmos or Lossless depending on the song.If I play the same song through my Sonos system connected the Apple TV 4K then it will play the song in Atmos/Lossless. For info the system is a Beam Gen 2, Sub Gen 2 and 2 x Gen 2 5’sIf I use the Sonos app on my iPhone and play the song from the Apple Music library within the app it will not play in Atmos/Lossless.I have 320mbps internet so speed isn't the issue.I have: - deleted and reinstalled the app - Reauthorised the Apple Account - Rebooted the InternetI can't see why when I use the music app on the Apple TV the music is played in Atmos/Lossless. But when I play the song via Apple Music within the Sonos app, it won't. Anyone know how to fix as it is really irritating my CDO? 😂 Thanks Carl

I just noticed the S1 app claims Deezer is no longer supported on Sonos. Is this right? Its still on the Services web page, though there’s no indication of S1 compatibility on that page.

sonos Android app 80.23.9sonos OS 85-0-65270Android 14 Kernal 5.10.218There is a repeatable bug in the android app where it can delete the wrong entries when you are editing a playlist. I have a playlist with 10 or so albums, open the playlist to edit delete two entries at the beginning then scroll down and delete, lets call it the 40th entry  press done Review the result and you will find that entries 1 and 2 have gone BUT entry 40 is still present and entry 42 has been deleted instead. I repeated this test 5 times and it happened every time What changes things is if you hit DONE on EVERY screen you have deleted something and you don’t scroll down to edit other entries first then it appears to delete the correct entries.  Such mistakes are easy to miss unless you are very careful in reviewing your changes and you are looking out for it which is why I suspect so few have reported a problem. (BTW I noticed this behaviour in prior versions of the APP and reported it)   The IPAD OS versio

i have googled and read online that you can access saved room groups through play.sonos.com.  i have gone to rooms section; selected a room and save groups aren’t there.  So, if you can how can you? if you can’t then why does material say you can

Any song which part of an iTunes/Apple Music compilation then indexed in Sonos, Music Library/Imported Playlists will not play on either my Windows 11 pc, any of my ios devices, or Sonos speakers. These tracks play fine in the Apple Music app on pc and ios devices. Songs in Sonos imported playlists that are not in Compilations play fine on all devices. Please advise. Thank you.
