e.g. If I search, say, for Pinnock (he’s an “artist”) I can’’t ever get to a list of Trevor Pinnock albums on Amazon Music that I can access in Sonos, I get a “Search returned no results...”) message.  Any thoughts appreciated!

Hi @abr88

Thanks for your post!

Sorry to hear of this issue you are having with searching Amazon Music on your S1 Desktop controller. I can’t attempt to replicate as I don’t have an S1 system, but what I can say is that there have been no changes made to the S1 Desktop controller, nor will there be, so I suspect that whatever problem you are having can probably be solved by removing the Amazon service from your system and adding it back again.

Before trying that, however, please first try searching for “trevor pinnock” rather than just “pinnock”, just in case.

If that does not work, please remove the Amazon service from your system, then add it again:

Remove a content service account from Sonos

Add a content service to Sonos

Failing that, please try a reboot of all Sonos speakers - unplug each one from power for a moment.

Finally, if none of these steps work, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

I hope this helps.

Just doublechecking about this statement:

“Any songs, albums, etc, that you’ve saved to Sonos Favorites or Sonos Playlists will no longer be available once the service is removed.”

I have many Sonos Playlists that include items that are pulled from Amazon Music as the playlist executes. If I remove Amazon Music as a Sonos music service and then “re-add” it, will the “removal” step have messed up those playlists?  Thank you.

Hi @abr88

That’s a great question!

The information I have is that such Favourites and Playlists need to be removed manually, which implies that if you do not remove them, they will remain there. Also, when you add the service back on again, the URLs which such playlists and favourites point to will then become valid once more and will work again - it’s only if you permanently remove a service that such links will no longer work.

So, you should be good - as long as Amazon is added back on to your Sonos system, the Favourites and Playlists will still work.

I hope this helps.
