Accessing music library on Mac

I have been using Sonos for 22 years. Today, my Sonos app on the Mac suddenly couldn’t find the Music Library I keep on the computer. After several other attempted fixes, I deleted the Music Library in Sonos and tried to add it back, but it wouldn’t do so. Nothing has changed on my system, as far as I am aware. Firewall and file sharing appear correctly set up.

I use Sonos S1 controller on the Mac, and am running mac OS Sequoia 15.7.3.

Any ideas, anyone?

If nothing changed calling support is your best bet.

An update could be the reason or this. I had my music library on a PC for a while, but got tired of updates breaking the connection. I bought a NAS and have been trouble free ever since.

Are you getting any error codes? That would help diagnose the issue.

No error codes at all. I don’t feel I should need to buy a separate device! I’ll call them on Monday.

It isn't that you need to buy something, more that by buying something Windows and Apple related frustrations are avoided.

All comes down to how reliable you need it and how much frustration you are willing to face.

I want reliable and lack patience to deal with glitches on someone else's schedule, a NAS was an easy choice for me. Used a Raspberry Pi so cost and power are minimial and zero noise. Don't touch it for many months at a time, then usually just dusting.
