Controllers and Music services

After two hours on the phone to Sonos support last week I was finally able to add my music library back. Despite all the extreme frustration of recent weeks I was pretty happy with the outcome, and the support I received. However, predictably, something else has now gone wrong. Nothing happens now when I try to update my music library to index new music added to iTunes over the weekend. It did work once, when I added some music on Friday, but as of yesterday (Sunday 14th) nothing at all happens.Is anyone else experiencing the same problem, or does anyone have any fixes for this?

I have a Playbar, did a factory reset on it and after a painfully long time managed to get it set up to the local WiFi through the app. Issue now being that it won’t appear on the app at all. I’ve been through all the different ways of setting it up (wired/wifi), logged out and rest the app, unplugged the speaker and everything else that’s on the forums. There’s still nothing detected on the app and no sound through the optical cable. It says playbar has been added but may not appear system setting, I’ve unplugged and still nothing,Any ideas ? 

I've had a customer's system up and running for over 2 years. We've had problems all along, but nothing like now. The new app will not recognize the existing devices in the app for device selection, however, it sees them in the About System/Sonos System Info section. Even after a complete system reset and new setup, it showed the system for about 5 seconds, then dropped it again. I have spent no less that 15 hours troubleshooting Sonos issues that are due to this new app without compensation, since this is neither my fault or my customer's fault. I've been a Sonos System provider for over 15 years and this is by far the most unreliable and frustrating experience I've ever encountered. With products from Denon/Marantz and others making their way into this realm, and the crazy price increases over the past two years, I would expect more from Sonos. Shame on you for causing these issues, not supporting your custom AV dealers (financially), and not owning up to it when called out for said

This is a community and some things cannot be resolved by constant complaining within it. I recently discovered that the balance control for iOS and Android devices within the Sonos Amp doesn’t work when a sub is connected. This app suddenly decided to stop allowing me to select volume and speaker groups right away when I open it. I understand that every fanboy wants to tell me that it's my network but nothing's changed with my network. What changed was the app. It updated and now it doesn't work I'd like it to work again please wouldn't that be nice? Can you please fix the app. I sent two messages to support without reply. And I'm a little fed up with this. Who is behind this?

sonos said update would be mid June for missing library on their system  after the update to app last month ….its nearer end of  June and still can't access library on my sonos system..I use MACAnyone and ideas or when this will be resolved any help be appreciated

How can I disable the new web app controller?I don’t want direct access to my sonos system from over the internet. Moreover, I don’t want hackers to be able to control the speakers in my home if they gain access to my login credentials.

Hi,The last update doesn’t allow me to add tracks onto my Spotify playlist. The previous was allowing this.When will this be possible again?

I noticed last night my SUB Gen3 wasn’t connected to my system anymore. I tried to add it back through hard reset but it is not working. I just keeps showing as “Not Registered” in my system. I tried to hardwire it directly to the router (and restarting it). No luck…was working fine before the app update. Thank you 

How do you edit the music library settings with the new app

After update to new app I cannot group my Sonos speaker - before was possible now is now working correctly. i have switched on tv and Sonos system and I would like add one speaker from another room - in app looks fine but next Sonos speaker is silent.

Since installing the new version of the Sonos mobile app on my Android Samsung Galaxy S24, I am unable to access my Sonos system.  When I ask to join an existing system the accept T&S’s button is grayed out and does nothing when I tap it. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app several times over the past two months with no success. I contacted Sonos Tech support today, and they had no solution for this issue.This is getting frustrating, hoping someone out there can offer a solution.Thanks in advance for your help with this problem! 

Hi, I can see this issue has been raised before, but I was wondering if anyone has found a solution? I have reactivated my Apple Music subscription and all my previous albums, songs and playlists are there and available in the Sonos App, but any new albums or playlists I add in Music never become visible in the Sonos App. I have tried removing the Apple Music service from Sonos and reinstalling it, but that makes no difference. Any suggestions?

Hello since the mobile app has been updated it doesn't really react correctly to what I want to do. I try to lower the volume and it turns off. I try to change channel and it turns off. Then it turns on by itself. It looks like is always loading. Suddenly when working it greats me. Why do my settings disappear every time I close the app I have reset them 

i want to listen to the music in my Roam using youtube music..i configured the Roam giving the access to Youtube but it does't work. i have a free account for youtube music. can you help me? 

I have Sonos speakers at home and at work on separate networks. Can both networks use the same app login?

In the old app, I could manually switch inputs. For example, say I am watching TV like normal (which is my HDMI input). But while the TV is still on, I'd like Sonos to play something on Pandora.In the old app, it was straight forward to switch inputs. I cannot find this in the new app. Is this feature gone, hidden, or will it come back in an app update?

In the new Sonos app:I can’t search for an unread book on Storytel. It’s always “no result”. Every book I turn on (Storytel) starts from the beginning.Can I change the setting somewhere so it will continue from where I am in the book or is this a bug? I can’t access the function “categories” on Storytel.Is there a setting for this? (I had no problem with any of this functions in the old app)

I thought it was downloading as it says "updating music library, please wait" It's been about three hours now and i suspect something is not right. I have somewhere around 1100 songs.

When I start streaming music from the Apple Music app (iOS 17.5.1) to my Sonos Move, the Apple Music app initially controls the playback. However, after a few songs, the Sonos App (version 80.04.04) takes over control. This transition causes the Apple Music app to lose track of the current playback status, making it appear as if nothing is playing. I then have to switch to the Sonos app to control the music.I prefer to use the Apple Music app for playback, so this issue is very frustrating. Why is this happening, and how can I fix it?
