The Sonos app suddenly not working with the iOS lock screen control and volume button anymore, suspect it happen after the Sonos iOS app updates. So far I had tried:Restart the iPhone and make sure the iOS and Sonos App having latest version Reset Sonos app Reset + uninstall + reinstall app Off and on Sonos ERA300 and do the above Research all possible solutions from Google but nothing helps yet :( All of this not working, my app version is 15.6 build 74043110 with iPhone 14 Pro iOS 16.6. Is anyone facing the same issue or this is a known software bug?
So I've got a Synology NAS and a couple of Sonos speakers. Some day I got the stupid (!) idea to switch SMBv1 off and soon I found out that my Sonos stuff was unable to find my local music library. Of course I agree that Sonos should move to v2 or v3, but since there is no sign they will, even after the whole S2 operation, it seems we will have to solve this ourselves. I’ve seen the Raspberry pi solution here on the forum, but I didn’t want separate devices and I thought it should be possible to do the same with docker on the NAS itself. If you are not familiar with Docker yet: it is like running an extra machine (called “container”) on your NAS, a little bit like virtual machines, but easier and more lightweight. The container runs isolated on your NAS, it only gets the access to your NAS you grant it specifically. Docker is a standard package on Synology. It also has a nice “registry”: an app store where everyone can share their containers. So the idea is: run a container with SMB (S
Hi all I tried to connect my Deezer account to my sonos account (through the app)the app is asking whether I have an account : Yesthen there is an error message saying there is an error with the authorization of my account - check your internet connectionhope one of you as the solutionmany thanksJulien
I’m trying to automate Spotify playing music on my Sonos speakers when I scan a NFC tag.I thought I could use Tasker to automate the necessary API calls...However, Sonos only supports the OAuth flow “Authorization code”, which makes it impossible to automate the task, since I have to show a webpage to the user for that to work.Is it possible to authenticate in any non-interactive way (Client credentials) or can I automate the Sonos app somehow? (e.g. Android intent?)
Hi, I use Tidal in iOS and want to stream it to my Sonos gear by using the “Tidal Connect” protocol.I know I can stream Tidal to my Sonos Port by using Airplay or Sonos Connect. I know I can use the Sonos app to select Tidal as a music service. My question is about the streaming protocal “Tidal Connect” (https://tidal.com/connect), already added by many high-level streamign boxes.“Tidal Connect” shows in Tidal app like this: “Sonos Connect” shows un Tidal app like this: Are there plans by Sonos to add support for “Tidal Connect” streaming protocol on their products? “Tidal Connect” opens the box to stream high quality audio, and all main competitors of Sonos have added it since long time. Thanks, Toni
Hi,I have an old speaker still with the S1 app and also newer speakers with the S2 app.I can sign into the Sonos Account page and the S2 app with my email and password combination but the S1 app will not accept that same login. Not sure why this would be if it works on the website and the S2 app. Appreciate your help.
Seems this one takes minimum two tries to cycle the second update per first complaints. I see no immediate UI changes. Maybe this fixed the Trueplay debacle from 15.8?
How does Sonos plan to solve the issue of accessing lock screen controls and device hardware button on iOS? Removing that functionality with release 15.6 on July 25, 2023 is a significant impact on the user experience. Our phones are the primary way we control the product so is there a solution other than having to unlock the phone every time we want to control the volume, change a track or turn the system off? Please clarify your plans or provide alternate solutions. Note: I do not use voice controls with my products, so that is not an alternative. Thanks.
My internet connection is with 3 on a Zyxel router/modem connected in passthrough mode to an Edgerouter X. If the connection is over the 4g phone network the Sonos app connects to BBC sounds on the first try. If the modem is connected to the 5g phone network the Sonos app can take up to 10 attempts to connect to BBC Sounds. Similar problems but less often with Apple Music. Has anyone else experienced this? I should say that the internet connection is 60mbps on 4g and 300 on 5g with pings in the 30ms range.I have been unable to explain this to Sonos support as they get endlessly distracted by confusing 5g network connection with 5Ghz wifi.
Does the 3/28 “Hi Res” and Apple Music Classical update mean that we’ll also be able to stream regular lossless (CD quality audio - 16-bit/44.1 kHz) through the Apple Music service via the Sonos iPhone app and Mac app?
The service from YouSee Musik suddenly stopped for SONOS. I have tried to remove the YouSee Musik service and wanted to connect I again but now it is no longer on the list of selectable services in SONOS. Anyone knows of changes between SONOS and YouSee?
The S2 app’s media progress indicator does NOT work the same consistently throughout the music sources? For example, I can drag it in Spotify but NOT when listening to prerecorded shows in SiriusXM. It’s easily my least favorite thing about Sonos. For years, I’ve found myself relistening to parts of hours longs shows that I’ve already heard just to get to the parts I haven’t heard. I just want to be able to drag the progress bar forward and backwards in these types of recordings.
Problem:In Spotify I can only select the last group as a device or the separate speakers if there is no current existing group. Reason:This is really annoying, because I have to switch to the Sonos app every time I want to play on a custom Sonos group. Solution:Other companies are able to sync the individual devices and the groups to Spotify as a device. This results in the following device list in Spotify: * Kitchen* living Room* Bedroom* Custom group (Kitchen, living room) Why is it so complicated to implement the same behaviour like for Google or Amazon devices?
Hi, i have a beam gen 2 + sub mini and a pair of era 100 as surround speakers.Im thinking to upgrade to era 300 for surround for the beam.Is it possible to connect a pair of era 300 with a pair of era 100 for playing music?I would only use the era 300 + era 100 for playing music and switch to surround for movies.
Hello, like some of the users in the community, I have been hit with the curious bug of the Windows controller getting stuck at the startup icon because it is unable to bind port 3410.Log entry:<ApplicationData>@Module:module @Message:Can't bind (port 3410)</ApplicationData>As the solution that worked for me is different from the other posts I found, I wanted to share another. In my case, the reserved port was caused by a combination of Hyper-V / Docker / WSL2 reserving a bunch of ranges.Confirm that a reserved port is your problem by running netsh interface ipv4 show excludedportrange protocol=tcp and if you see a port range listed that includes port 3410, proceed.Disable Hyper-V and reboot Run netsh int ipv4 add excludedportrange protocol=tcp startport=3410 numberofports=1 to reserve port 3410 Enable Hyper-V and rebootThis permanently fixed the problem for me.
I have just updated the software to 15.8.1 as it requires update to my Sonos Roam and then after the update, all music services disappeared and even my NAS musics are unplayable. Moderator note: We updated this article in October 2023 with new information below. This behavior was due to a Sonos cloud outage at that time that is now resolved. Therefore we closed this topic.
I have 4 Sonos speakers in my home. I have 2 iPhones that belong to 2 different people that have different music apps. Now I want to hook up to use those 4 speakers. Should each iPhone have its own Sonos account?
I don't know the proper language to tell Sonos where it is //ETC.
Recently bought a Move 2 as addition to my Era 300 to use together in my main living room with the option to take the Move 2 outside to flexibly broaden the area’s covered. Following 2 features are missing - any workarounds to this? - using the physical volume buttons on either device I would like to impact the other device as well (currently only 1 device impacted but they are in the same room - I want both simultaneously) - it’s possible to set individual volume levels per speaker which is nice as it allows to perfectly balance out based on position how strong each volume needs to be. However - for the automations (e.g. playing radio to wake up) this option is sadly not available. Any workarounds, fixes, things I am missing?
Is there any way to reorganize the titles by particular artists in the Sonos Library. They appear to be in a random order. I would like to edit the order - for example, studio albums in alphabetical order followed by live recordings by date.
Alright so the biggest reason I went with Sonos was the ability to control the devices remotely and being able to lock other people out of changing the music. We use the devices at my Harley dealership and this is also creating a problem. There is 1 day a week where there is not an authorized user at the dealership to control the port. Well don’t turn it off or pause it right?? Well great idea but that doesn’t seem to work either. When we come in the next day and turn the amps back on the music has to be started from the app. Well on Sundays that’s a problem. I am not on the same WIFI. Is there anyway in the setting to set it up so it doesn’t stop playing or even better they turn on at a preset time and start playing the last source? When watching the demo video I was under the impression that I could monitor and play from a remote location. Any insight would be great! Other than this issue it is great!
I have had my Sonos system for many years and have uploaded and downloaded hundreds of songs into a sonos playlist. I find that the shuffle feature rarely shuffles the list very “deeply” and tends to play the same couple of dozen songs. Is there any way to teach the algorithms to shuffle through the list more thoroughly?
I am using Spotify on my Sonos system (era 300 + one), and I am surprised that it seems to be impossible to enable Spotify autoplay (keep playing recommended songs after an album ends).I have found old closed topics about this from 2 years ago, is it still impossible ?I understand that some people hate it, I love it, it would be amazing to just be able to enable / disable it.Thanks !
