Hi - I have two Era300s, a spotify account and Philips Hue lights set up for a disco night. So I need the lights flashing/beating in order to have the disco party. I control the playlist through the spotify account which in turn links the sound to the sonos speakers and hue lights togetherProblem - I cannot crossfade the songs when using the spotify app on my android phone AND philips hue lights are synced. Does anyone know how crossfade works in this situation?(crossfade works fine if just using the sonos app & spotify, but bring Philips Hue into the equation, and the crossfade option is “faded out” on the spotify app under user settings)Its doing my head in because when a song finishes, the philips hue lights return to ‘normal’ for about 10 seconds and only start flashing/beating when the next song starts, so there is this ‘gap’ between songs. Crossfading would stop this as there isnt a natural end to one song, and start to another - it all gets mixed together. Hope someone c
I use the ambient music app Endel, but can only play it on my phone or over Bluetooth to my guitar amp. Would be great if there was an integration available for this service.
Hi - new to Sonos (just got a Sonos One!).This is probably a basic question, but can’t figure it out. I set up the Sonos One very easily. I downloaded the Sonos app and added my Spotify account. So far, so good. However, I’d like to add my kids’ Spotify accounts to the Sonos One too. They have their own Spotify logins and their own devices. When I try to add another Spotify account on the Sonos app, it just tries to add my own (existing) account. I then get an error message saying that the account already exists.Anyone have any ideas what I’m doing wrong? I thought I may have to add the Sonos app to each of my kids accounts (logging in as myself on the Sonos app) - but is that necessary? Thanks in advance!
I’ve been a SONOS customer for around a decade and I’m considering moving to something else….WHY? I don’t understand the app I don’t know how to launch anything I’m always confused I get lost in the menus and options Search doesn’t work wellI am probably a complete idiot, but I have difficulty navigating the new app...eventually, i get something to play, but I don’t really know how it happens. I hunt and peck around and eventually, I get something to play. Granted my home system is 10 Sonos Amps and architectural speakers - it is complicated. But you almost need to stupify this down to a google search window that you can type in “Please, for the love of GOD, play Taylor Swift in my daugter’s room so she will start her homework. I don’t care if you use Pandora or Tune-In or YouTube or Apple Music or any other source, but please please please start playing Taylor so i don’t have to try to navigate this darn app for another 5 frustrating minutes!!!” - I guess voice control might solve
I have a ton of playlists I wanted to share the lists with a couple buddies (just the lists not the actual music) SonoSaver (search for it on the web) does the job.I can save each Playlist as a CSV, convert then to Excel, clean up and sort to my hearts delight and pass along.
Bonjour,Comment fait-on pour régler le volume avec les boutons physiques d’un iPhone ?Merci
Can't seem to get initial set up with bbc sounds completed. The message says it's been set up, but then on Sonos it says there was an error.
Can I set up my Sonos ERA100 using two separate phones? One is Android and the othe IOS.
Just been helped by Sonos to upgrade to a new Era 300. Received today and tried to add to existing system which is all fairly old products (2x Connect Amps Nd 2x Play 1s). Existing system operates with S1 app but new Era set up says it only works with S2 app. Supposed solution is to have two systems and two apps. Ridiculous - Sonos knew what I had in my system as they helped with the upgrade. Very disappointed.
Play different music in different roomsTo play different music on different Sonos speakers, you just need to select what you want each speaker to play and group the speakers you want to play the same music together. Once grouped, you can select what you want each group of speakers, or singular speaker to play.As mentioned above, speakers are accessed by tapping the Systems tab at the bottom of the app. From here you can group them, or ungroup them. this seems to no longer work. i have tried to find a solution on here but to no avail, any ideas/ solution from anyone would be appreciated
I’ve acquired a Sonos ARC and Sub, but since I don’t have a iOS device, I was waiting for a acquaintance with an iPhone Xs to come by to help me calibrate it using TRUEPLAY. After installing the Sonos app (not Sonos S1 … by the way its very confusing reading Sonos website refering to Sonos S2 when it is not call that), going to Settings > System, and selecting my only configured room/device there is no “Trueplay” related option in any section. Can someone explain how to get it to appear?
Hello,First of all I apologize if this question has been asked before. I tried to search for the solution but was unable to find the answer.I have two Sonos systems at home:In the Pantry: Beam Gen 2 + Sub Gen 3, connected to a Toshiba TV in the Pantry In the Living Room: Arc + Sub Gen 3, also connected to a Sony TV in Living RoomThings are working fine for both systems. I also have no problem playing same source in both systems. The issue is when I have to select which TV to play/disconnect from any of the system. Since both are connected to a TV, the Sonos App shows the same “TV” as the input names. I keep selecting the wrong TV as the source I want to keep playing because I have no clue which to select.Screenshot of what I’m trying to explain is attached. It would be perfect if I can rename the “TV” to “ TV-Pantry” and “TV-Living Room”.Is that possible? Thanks,Danny
In iOS14 Apple added a new feature to “Autoplay Similar Tracks” when a playlist or queue is finished. Its supposed to continue to play similar music to what was on the playlist. Similar to Create a Station that does work (but is fairly buried in Sonos and Apple), but instead it kicks in at the end of an existing playlist vs. creating an unending playlist from scratch like Create Station does from a selected song. See here https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208383 Apple show an infinity symbol on the player to control this feature. Its supposed to be somewhat better than create a station as it has the context of the entire preceeding playlist when picking a new song, vs. a single song.
Hi, I just discovered today that other people on my wifi has been able to look through my playlists and music library’s without even needing to log into my account on the Sonos app- which I’m not too happy about. Is there anyway to fix this? I’m not sure why by default Sonos lets anyone access all the playlists from my music services

I’m on recent of software.I would group a bunch of speakers and play music. Then, for no reason at all, it would not play on any except one of the speakers in the group. I have to ungroup and re-add. This started about two weeks go. I do have a TV connected tho the Arc and maybe it is related to playing tv and stop playing passing audio back to the music app. Anyone else with this issue? ---------------------------------Era 100: BedroomSerial Number: XXSonos OS: S2Version: 15.11 (build 76247270)Hardware Version: 1.38.1.10-1.1Series ID: A100IP Address: XXWM: 1---------------------------------Era 100: Dining RoomSerial Number: XXSonos OS: S2Version: 15.11 (build 76247270)Hardware Version: 1.38.1.10-1.1Series ID: A100IP Address: XXWM: 1---------------------------------Era 100: Extra DinningSerial Number: XXSonos OS: S2Version: 15.11 (build 76247270)Hardware Version: 1.38.1.10-1.1Series ID: A100IP Address: XXWM: 1---------------------------------Sonos One SL: Great Room (LS)Serial
I have recently purchased a SONOS amp and I am trying to get it going. I have a large collection of music located on a Windows 10 PC. I have enabled Media Streaming on the pc. The SONOS app see the media server and allows me to browse the collection of music. Most of the files are in FLAC format. A few are MP4 or WMA files. The SONOS plays the MP4 and WMA files fine but it fails on the FLAC files. An obscure error message “An error occurred while adding tracks to the Queue (701)” is briefly displayed on the app screen when I select the track in the app. The FLAC files were generated by ripping CDs in the Windows Media Player. The “Audio Quality->470 940 kbps” option was enabled for the rip. I think that setting turns on automatically when FLAC is selected in the Windows Media Player. I have played these same files through a different product, an Audiocast, using the same configuration without problems. Ant ideas on what’s going wrong? Does anyone know what the 701 error me
Hi everyone! This article will be focusing on Music Services available within the Sonos app - if you have any further questions on this subject, feel free to post a reply, and we’ll update the article What Music Services are available on Sonos? You can find here a full list of Music Services on Sonos - it’s worth noting however that not all music services are available in all regions, you can check where any given service is available to be added to Sonos by clicking the link for that music service. If you should have access to a music service, but it doesn’t show up in the list when adding a music service , then we recommend double checking that you have the correct location set on your Sonos Profile, and then performing a manual check for updates from the Sonos App - this will update the list of available Music Services in the app. What content is available via Music Services? Not all music services offer the same selection of content, and this may even change within the same service
We’ve been waiting for 7+ years for a really robust iOS experience. The widget request he’s literally been out there for over 7 years. Apple is clearly all in on widgets - why can’t Sonos provide software that makes it easier to control our system? It’s not like you’re spending your resources on a really great Google or Alexa integration (they both continue to be virtually unusable), or an Apple Watch app, or tight integration with SiriusXM (the frequency of errors starting a stream is laughable), or Apple Music (start a station within Sonos? No, No one would want that). I love the sound quality of our Sonos system, but if I was creating a new system today, I don’t know that Sonos is worth the price point. Certainly the aging software and lack of innovation is a big warning sign.
Error says: “Channel is encoded using an unsupported digital rights management system.”I have uninstalled and reinstalled the SiriusXM app, Sonos app, and the SiriusXM app to no avail.
Can someone help me figure why I’m still hearing ads and station intros, I also can’t skip songs - if I do it prompts me to sign up but then if I follow the prompts to sign up - it says I already have an active Sonos radio HD subscription???
When I start up the Android app it keeps showing the queue screen which is empty. It does this if the room that is playing is showing full screen but not if the playing is minimised and showing the rooms instead - hopefully that makes sense. So if I close the app with the playing showing full screen, it will open full screen the next time and immediately shows the empty queue. If I close the app showing the rooms with the playing part minimised, it doesn’t open the queue screen when I start up the app but as soon as I maximise the playing part of it, it shows the queue screen. There’s nothing in the queue and I just mainly listen to Planet Rock Radio which is still showing in the playing part when I start the app up.The queue has been empty for many months and I’ve not used it for many months apart from having to keep close it when it opens by itself.
It's written already several times: please remove Sonos Radio from the search results. I'm not interested in Sonos Radio at all. And so do many other community members. This intrusive behaviour from Sonos is simply annoying and devalues the otherwise good products pointlessly.
I’ve bought the CD and as I always do ripped it onto my NAS for Sonos playback so I have the Dark and Bright side stereo mixes but thought it would be good to try in Atmos on the Arc. I have an Xbox One and when I put the CD in it prompted me to download Windows media player. Although I’d previously changed the audio HDMI setting to Atmos when I started playing I noted it had gone back to Dolby 5.1 so I changed it back to Atmos and it seemed sticky after that. Although the Sonos app is saying Atmos I am not hearing any audio through the rear surrounds (Play 1s) which I would expect to be involved.Has anybody managed to listen to this in “proper” Atmos with the Arc and Xbox One?
Well i just updated to ios 17 and Sonos sent an update earlier today and still cannot perform trueplay.
