I’m on recent of software.I would group a bunch of speakers and play music. Then, for no reason at all, it would not play on any except one of the speakers in the group. I have to ungroup and re-add. This started about two weeks go. I do have a TV connected tho the Arc and maybe it is related to playing tv and stop playing passing audio back to the music app. Anyone else with this issue? ---------------------------------Era 100: BedroomSerial Number: XXSonos OS: S2Version: 15.11 (build 76247270)Hardware Version: 1.38.1.10-1.1Series ID: A100IP Address: XXWM: 1---------------------------------Era 100: Dining RoomSerial Number: XXSonos OS: S2Version: 15.11 (build 76247270)Hardware Version: 1.38.1.10-1.1Series ID: A100IP Address: XXWM: 1---------------------------------Era 100: Extra DinningSerial Number: XXSonos OS: S2Version: 15.11 (build 76247270)Hardware Version: 1.38.1.10-1.1Series ID: A100IP Address: XXWM: 1---------------------------------Sonos One SL: Great Room (LS)Serial
I have recently purchased a SONOS amp and I am trying to get it going. I have a large collection of music located on a Windows 10 PC. I have enabled Media Streaming on the pc. The SONOS app see the media server and allows me to browse the collection of music. Most of the files are in FLAC format. A few are MP4 or WMA files. The SONOS plays the MP4 and WMA files fine but it fails on the FLAC files. An obscure error message “An error occurred while adding tracks to the Queue (701)” is briefly displayed on the app screen when I select the track in the app. The FLAC files were generated by ripping CDs in the Windows Media Player. The “Audio Quality->470 940 kbps” option was enabled for the rip. I think that setting turns on automatically when FLAC is selected in the Windows Media Player. I have played these same files through a different product, an Audiocast, using the same configuration without problems. Ant ideas on what’s going wrong? Does anyone know what the 701 error me
Hi everyone! This article will be focusing on Music Services available within the Sonos app - if you have any further questions on this subject, feel free to post a reply, and we’ll update the article What Music Services are available on Sonos? You can find here a full list of Music Services on Sonos - it’s worth noting however that not all music services are available in all regions, you can check where any given service is available to be added to Sonos by clicking the link for that music service. If you should have access to a music service, but it doesn’t show up in the list when adding a music service , then we recommend double checking that you have the correct location set on your Sonos Profile, and then performing a manual check for updates from the Sonos App - this will update the list of available Music Services in the app. What content is available via Music Services? Not all music services offer the same selection of content, and this may even change within the same service
We’ve been waiting for 7+ years for a really robust iOS experience. The widget request he’s literally been out there for over 7 years. Apple is clearly all in on widgets - why can’t Sonos provide software that makes it easier to control our system? It’s not like you’re spending your resources on a really great Google or Alexa integration (they both continue to be virtually unusable), or an Apple Watch app, or tight integration with SiriusXM (the frequency of errors starting a stream is laughable), or Apple Music (start a station within Sonos? No, No one would want that). I love the sound quality of our Sonos system, but if I was creating a new system today, I don’t know that Sonos is worth the price point. Certainly the aging software and lack of innovation is a big warning sign.
Error says: “Channel is encoded using an unsupported digital rights management system.”I have uninstalled and reinstalled the SiriusXM app, Sonos app, and the SiriusXM app to no avail.
Can someone help me figure why I’m still hearing ads and station intros, I also can’t skip songs - if I do it prompts me to sign up but then if I follow the prompts to sign up - it says I already have an active Sonos radio HD subscription???
When I start up the Android app it keeps showing the queue screen which is empty. It does this if the room that is playing is showing full screen but not if the playing is minimised and showing the rooms instead - hopefully that makes sense. So if I close the app with the playing showing full screen, it will open full screen the next time and immediately shows the empty queue. If I close the app showing the rooms with the playing part minimised, it doesn’t open the queue screen when I start up the app but as soon as I maximise the playing part of it, it shows the queue screen. There’s nothing in the queue and I just mainly listen to Planet Rock Radio which is still showing in the playing part when I start the app up.The queue has been empty for many months and I’ve not used it for many months apart from having to keep close it when it opens by itself.
It's written already several times: please remove Sonos Radio from the search results. I'm not interested in Sonos Radio at all. And so do many other community members. This intrusive behaviour from Sonos is simply annoying and devalues the otherwise good products pointlessly.
I’ve bought the CD and as I always do ripped it onto my NAS for Sonos playback so I have the Dark and Bright side stereo mixes but thought it would be good to try in Atmos on the Arc. I have an Xbox One and when I put the CD in it prompted me to download Windows media player. Although I’d previously changed the audio HDMI setting to Atmos when I started playing I noted it had gone back to Dolby 5.1 so I changed it back to Atmos and it seemed sticky after that. Although the Sonos app is saying Atmos I am not hearing any audio through the rear surrounds (Play 1s) which I would expect to be involved.Has anybody managed to listen to this in “proper” Atmos with the Arc and Xbox One?
Well i just updated to ios 17 and Sonos sent an update earlier today and still cannot perform trueplay.
In previous versions of the sonos app you could select multiple speaker groups as outputs allowing you to quickly stream to multiple groups.I dont know when it changed but groups can no longer be multi selected. Selecting a new group removes the previous selected speakers and replaces with just the new group. For example, if you have Group A, B and C you used to be able to quickly output to groups A and B by selecting both groups. With new behaviour you can only ever select group A or B. The workaround is to create another new group D containing A+B, but this very quickly becomes unmanagable if you have more than 3-4 core groups. This functionity change has significantly reduced the usability of the groups in my opinion. Did it get removed on purpose or can i re-enable the behaviour somehow?
I don’t own an iPhone, so I would really appreciate if they could release Trueplay to either Android or the iPad 10th gen.Are there currently any estimates as to when it might be released? (if ever) Let me know please :)
We have several sonos five speakers installed, one in certain offices. How can i setup that person on the app to only control the speaker in their office?
There definitely needs to be a discussion about how to get a multi person family that uses Spotify with Sonos to always use the correct spotify user. I am an IT Admin with deep experience with data and configurations, and some how, my wifes listening has still been merged with my spotify listening when I look at my 2023 Wrap data from spotify. Even though her songs do not show up in my Spotify recently played in Spotfy, her songs DO show up as my most listened to songs in my Wrap Up. Spotify support is absolutely no help. I have talked to multiple support people. All seem to get to the same point. If we listen on the spotify app, then this will not happen. But since we are using sonos, this is probably the reason.Using The Spotify app to play defeats the purpose of having a multi-room sonos system (THAT WAS EXPENSIVE) and multi person family. I really think Sonons needs to work on improving this. Anyone have any tips?
How to play from my Android device to sonos one
I only have had my ERA 300s and Beam for 2 days and I am feeling confused, stupid and discouraged. Is there an easy way just to delete a room(s)? I try to learn and solve things myself but other than a “factory reset” I do not see how to delete a room. My Beam is connected to my TV and I have two ERA 300s. All I wish to do is have my two 300s linked together so that I can add to my Beam together when I want to play music. Thanks!
Hi, I know that the Roam (mic) does have an automatic trueplay function.I also know that the SL (speechless) doesn’t have any mic build in, hence no automatic trueplay. What I don’t understand is why trueplay on the Roam SL is not available through the mic of my iPhone.Just like you use trueplay on the OLD “play ones”, they also did not have any mic.Hence trueplay was achieved by using the mic of your mobile phone.Am I wrong and is it possible, or are you planning to add this feature in the future? Regards.
tl;dr - are you able to play from Amazon Music Unlimited to Sonos via connected devices or only via AirPlay or Bluetooth?I just treated myself to a pair of Era 100s (paired as stereo “Office”) and down the rabbit hole of hi-res audio streaming services, starting with Amazon Music Unlimited (Individual Plan).I prefer to browse and play through the streaming app, especially with Amazon’s additional labels (Atmos, HD, Ultra HD, etc.). I’m unable to play from the Amazon Music app to Sonos.I’m able to do this on Spotify. I’d stream through “another device on this network” (instead of “AirPlay or Bluetooth”) without any issue:When I try to do that through Amazon, it connects to Office but won’t go beyond this screen and music won’t play:After that, if I try to play Amazon through the Sonos App, I get a notification about device limits: So, I can play from Spotify to Sonos via network devices, but unable to from Amazon to Sonos via network. I can play from Amazon to Sonos with AirPlay but sou
Hello guys, I am new to the Sonos systemIf I use the Spotify App (On Desktop), will it recognize the Speaker group I set up from Sonos and play music to that group? At my work site, they want to have a main operator and a backup person (so that when the main operator is busy, this person can play music instead). Can I use one Spotify account to sign in on both Desktops?
Hi, I recently got a Sonos Beam Gen 2 to go with my new Sony Bravia XR A90K 4K OLED UHD TV. The sales person at the store claimed I wouldn’t need WiFi to be able to use this device with my TV, and this TV having lots of automatic compatibility with various devices. I unfortunately don’t have WiFi or any way to get it currently, so not needing WiFi to use this device was a selling point for me. I come home and find out I DO need WiFi apparently to set it up and configure it. I heard there was some sort of workaround involving using 2 phones, but I don’t think I got it to work. I noticed that my Sonos device does react to me using the volume controls on my TV, I can turn the volume up and down, and I definitely can tell when the device is unplugged; so obviously it is working somehow despite not being set up using WiFi. What I want to know is, will not being able to set up and configure it using WiFi cause the device to put out inferior sound, since I would lack access to any of the conf
I can’t get the Sonos controls to appear on the IOS locked screen.
I’m considering buying a Sonos One SL as a stand alone speaker but want to know if I’ll be able to use Siri via my iPhone to play Spotify music and Sonos radio channels? I have a feeling it might only be able to use Apple Music, which I don’t use.
Hello,I have noticed many times now that when on my desktop and i'm adding songs to the the queue from my library and choose them to add them to the end it places them at random spots in the queue instead of actually putting them on the end/last. What's up with that? I now have to look them up in the queue and manually drag them to the end. What could be causing this? -Edit- I just selected 2 tracks at the same time and added them to the queue and they got placed at different spots apart from each other….🤔
Have used trueplay in a number of settings at home which involves stereo pairing of the era 300 with a sub mini … Initial impressions post trueplay at the various locations appear attenuation of the high frequencies ..a quick A/B with and without Trueplay confirms this in my case … However does Trueplay improve over time and if so what sort of timeframe ?
