Controllers and Music services

There definitely needs to be a discussion about how to get a multi person family that uses Spotify with Sonos to always use the correct spotify user.  I am an IT Admin with deep experience with data and configurations, and some how, my wifes listening has still been merged with my spotify listening when I look at my 2023 Wrap data from spotify.  Even though her songs do not show up in my Spotify recently played in Spotfy, her songs DO show up as my most listened to songs in my Wrap Up.  Spotify support is absolutely no help.  I have talked to multiple support people.  All seem to get to the same point.  If we listen on the spotify app, then this will not happen.  But since we are using sonos, this is probably the reason.Using The Spotify app to play defeats the purpose of having a multi-room sonos system (THAT WAS EXPENSIVE) and multi person family.  I really think Sonons needs to work on improving this.  Anyone have any tips? 

How to play from my Android device to sonos one

I only have had my ERA 300s and Beam for 2 days and I am feeling confused, stupid and discouraged. Is there an easy way just to delete a room(s)?  I try to learn and solve things myself but other than a “factory reset” I do not see how to delete a room.  My Beam is connected to my TV and I have two ERA 300s. All I wish to do is have my two 300s linked together so that I can add to my Beam together when I want to play music.Thanks!

Hi, I know that the Roam (mic) does have an automatic trueplay function.I also know that the SL (speechless) doesn’t have any mic build in, hence no automatic trueplay.What I don’t understand is why trueplay on the Roam SL is not available through the mic of my iPhone.Just like you use trueplay on the OLD “play ones”, they also did not have any mic.Hence trueplay was achieved by using the mic of your mobile phone.Am I wrong and is it possible, or are you planning to add this feature in the future? Regards.

tl;dr - are you able to play from Amazon Music Unlimited to Sonos via connected devices or only via AirPlay or Bluetooth?I just treated myself to a pair of Era 100s (paired as stereo “Office”) and down the rabbit hole of hi-res audio streaming services, starting with Amazon Music Unlimited (Individual Plan).I prefer to browse and play through the streaming app, especially with Amazon’s additional labels (Atmos, HD, Ultra HD, etc.). I’m unable to play from the Amazon Music app to Sonos.I’m able to do this on Spotify. I’d stream through “another device on this network” (instead of “AirPlay or Bluetooth”) without any issue:When I try to do that through Amazon, it connects to Office but won’t go beyond this screen and music won’t play:After that, if I try to play Amazon through the Sonos App, I get a notification about device limits: So, I can play from Spotify to Sonos via network devices, but unable to from Amazon to Sonos via network. Hello guys, I am new to the Sonos systemIf I use the Spotify App (On Desktop), will it recognize the Speaker group I set up from Sonos and play music to that group?At my work site, they want to have a main operator and a backup person (so that when the main operator is busy, this person can play music instead). Can I use one Spotify account to sign in on both Desktops? 

Hi, I recently got a Sonos Beam Gen 2 to go with my new Sony Bravia XR A90K 4K OLED UHD TV. The sales person at the store claimed I wouldn’t need WiFi to be able to use this device with my TV, and this TV having lots of automatic compatibility with various devices. I unfortunately don’t have WiFi or any way to get it currently, so not needing WiFi to use this device was a selling point for me. I come home and find out I DO need WiFi apparently to set it up and configure it. I heard there was some sort of workaround involving using 2 phones, but I don’t think I got it to work. I noticed that my Sonos device does react to me using the volume controls on my TV, I can turn the volume up and down, and I definitely can tell when the device is unplugged; so obviously it is working somehow despite not being set up using WiFi. What I want to know is, will not being able to set up and configure it using WiFi cause the device to put out inferior sound, since I would lack access to any of the conf

I can’t get the Sonos controls to appear on the IOS locked screen.

I’m considering buying a Sonos One SL as a stand alone speaker but want to know if I’ll be able to use Siri via my iPhone to play Spotify music and Sonos radio channels? I have a feeling it might only be able to use Apple Music, which I don’t use.

Hello,I have noticed many times now that when on my desktop and i'm adding songs to the the queue from my library and choose them to add them to the end it places them at random spots in the queue instead of actually putting them on the end/last. What's up with that? I now have to look them up in the queue and manually drag them to the end. What could be causing this?  -Edit- I just selected 2 tracks at the same time and added them to the queue and they got placed at different spots apart from each other….🤔

Have used trueplay in a number of settings at home  which involves  stereo pairing of the era 300 with a sub mini … Initial impressions post trueplay at the various locations appear attenuation of the high frequencies ..a quick A/B  with and without Trueplay confirms this in my case  … However does Trueplay improve over time and if so what sort of timeframe ? 

The answer to this feels like it should be obvious but…If i create a playlist on a streaming service like Apple or Spotify, but then also save it as a Sonos Playlist, does that count against the 70-item My Sonos limit? It would seem logical that the answer is yes. But if I don’t save it as a Sonos playlist, and access it only thru the streaming service menu, then it would not. Do I have that right? Sorry to seem dim. 

Hi everyone, I will buy 3 Sonos One SLs and set them up in 3 different rooms. I plan to connect each One SL to the Switch using an Ethernet cable.Can I use the S2 App on Desktop (also connected to Ethernet) to control all 3 Speakers? Because I don't want to control them through Wifi. Please give me some advice,Thanks everyone

Je peux le faire en choisissant une première enceninte, puis en allant dans “regrouper les pièces” et en choisissant l’autre enceinte.Ça fonctionne, mais mon souci est qu’il faut que je refasse cette manip à chaque fois.J’aimerais que ces deux enceintes restent par défaut  dans Spotify (pas pour la TV)Comment faire ? Merci d’avance

I am fairly new to using Sonos and streaming services. I have found a streaming service, Presto Music, that is not listed on the Sonos list of streaming services that I can access and add. Can I add a streaming service not listed? If so. how do I do it?Thank you.

Are there any plans to eliminate the 65k track limit for Sonos products.Surely i cannot be the only one who has a music collection that is way in excess of this limit?

I have my old Sonos products on the S1 app and my new products on the S2 app. The S1 app is now giving me the above error message and asking me to upgrade to the S2 app. When I click on ‘About my system’ the S1 app only shows the products linked to the S2 app and doesn’t recognise the old Sonos products

Please add the capability for the Sonos apps to sort one’s Music Library leveraging the Sort metadata fields on a given release. For example, in Apple Music/iTunes, one can choose how their Library is sorted based on alternative text in the sort as fields, as below:Note:  by changing the album field’s “sort as” text from the album title to the convention: Artist - Year-Month-Day - Title, I am able to then organize and search through my entire Library of albums by a given artist, and then the albums ordered chronologically, thereafter.Another use case is an album series, named as “Volume #” and there are 16 albums in the series. The Sonos app does not sort on numbers, smartly - meaning, it doesn’t recognize that 2, 3, 4 come before 10, 11, 12, because it’s only looking at the first integer.  Instead it orders as follows:Volume 1 Volume 10 Volume 11 Volume 12 Volume 13 Volume 14 Volume 15 Volume 16 Volume 2 Volume 3 Volume 4 Volume 5 Volume 6 Volume 7 Volume 8 Volume 9My only workaround

Sonos has taken a major step back, by users not being able to control volume on app using iPhones.YES! I regret buying into their eco-systemsSonos also failed to notify customers of "THIS MAJOR CHANGE" Shame on you!!You should advise future buyer of this "MAJOR CHANGE!  Post it on your home page? Of course not, the suckers will find out later.I expected better from a company with great  speakers & sound!Why would you stoop so low and NOT provide customers who spend so much money on you speakers a better experience using your app? We all know their not cheap.Dont blame Apple, because  it is SONOS we spent many on.OH we were able to use it before, duhhIt seems Sonos cant or won't upgrade their setup. JP

how do i sync my spotify acc with sonos not just syncing spotify but my actual acct so i will have access to all my libraries and playlists etc

Hi there, I frequently use my Sonos system to stream live radio, and I exclusively listen to add-free stations. In the past, TuneIn Radio, and then Sonos Radio have worked perfectly well for finding and streaming my preferred stations, but over the years both services have added more and more pre-roll and even “mid-roll” advertisements overlaid on top of the original stream. The best solution I have found for this annoyance is to load the Streaming Station URLs manually in the Sonos desktop App. It is a bit of a pain, but it a one-time pain, and way better then listening to the ads. But I really do miss the station artwork. Please add the ability to load custom artwork alongside custom streaming URLs in the Sonos app!

Hello @SONOS star team.  I will compile, and edit to add over time, the things I noticed and would recommend for our collective reflection here. Please comment to contribute your ideas too, and I can add them to this OP so that it’s easier for the SONOS developers to have it all in one place.Special thanks and appreciation for Keith, whom I “met” on Reddit and guided I use iOS, latest of everything at all times: iPhone and SONOS App version. Allow manual/ user ranking/ rearranging in My Sonos > Edit (top right corner). Ditto in Browse for existing music services.   Add a “tip” bubble to let people know about 3D Touch available throughout the App. I see use it in My Sonos to select Play in Another Room… the most.  Add Alarms to the SONOS icon itself on the Home Screen when using ForceTouch/ 3D Touch (Currently: Search, My Sonos, Play - Resume Last Played).   Detect WiFi issues and walk the user through fixing them to lighten the load on your Support Team, PR hit with people spewing c

Anybody out there able to get to a classical recording on Apple Music using the composer and opus#?I find any attempt to “drill down” into a more specific search (artist, type of composition, key signature, etc.) always results in an Apple “I can’t find anything” response. T.I.A.
