Considering the CR-100 and and iPod Dock are the only two devices that were ever “bricked” by an update, and the announcement of such was made well in advance, I think you are pretty safe.
+21I doubt it. Seems like an APP redesign rather than a big system update.
The only things that have been “bricked” have been controllers rather than units. All speakers still work, the oldest being on the separate S1 system

Has an update ever bricked equipment? AIUI, there was a short-lived period where the upgrade program bricked the upgraded product, but that program ended shortly after it was announced.
Connect Amps, Play 3 have been hamstrung after recent S2 updates. At what point does that get to be described as bricked?
