This may be buried in another topic, but a specific feature we’ve used for years is still missing from the latest July 22 app update (80.05.04): the ability to play or shuffle music from the a folder view of our local music library.I used a shelved Play:1 and a backup iPad to create a second Sonos system in order to test today’s app update (with the latest firmware). I was not especially surprised to find that feature is still missing since it’s also missing from the web player. Those controls are available in the “Songs” view of the library, which suggests the developers may have decided to only provide the function in a view that has individual songs. Having them in the folder views was admittedly an inconsistency given that none of the other non-Songs views had them, but it was a very useful inconsistency for us.

It’s getting “better” and “better” with every update, now iTunes compilations are multiplying and no content can be played when selecting them. And some artwork is still missing, although it loads a little bit faster at least. This app and company is a joke, seriously. I just went back after a few month to see whether it works now, and it doesn’t. Worse, now the apps from the iPhone are no longer reliable to even play ANY music... 

I have M4B files that are audiobooks with chapter info and cover art as metadata.The cover art shows up if I use the PC or web app, but not in the andrioid app - not a big issue, but annoying.The big issue is that there is no way to move through the chapters. The “Next” button plays the next track.Is there a change I need to make, or is this something that will be addressed?Thanks,Mark

Since the app update the ‘continue listening’ section within the BBC Sounds music service doesn’t work - whenever a title is selected it just starts from the beginning. Is this likely to be fixed anytime soon, because it’s really annoying?

Today I successfully updated to the latest 16.3 Firmware and Windows Desktop Controller.I subsequently performed an “Update Music Library Now” from the 16.3 Windows Desktop Controller.Now any Sonos Controller (including SonoPhone, SonoPad) show multiple entries for each compilation album when viewing Albums.Just an example shown below... Does anyone else have this issue?Ross.

I just downloaded Radio Tunes app on my phone which plays my favorite 90s and 00s songs and was wondering how do I connect it to my Sonos home system. Please any help with this?

Following the recent Sonos update, the desktop application refuses to add the library. Despite numerous results on search, Sonos seemingly is refusing to resolve the 913 issue.It was suggested I move the library to an external hard drive. Which I did and now I get the 1002 error. Sonos resolution to this is meaningless and doesn’t help. Apple Music will play through Sonos but the Sonos app refuses to load the library which means I can’t play any music using either the desktop or the mobile app.Has anyone found a solution this to and please in plain English. There are a lot of answers which are gobbleeegook...

The order of albums doesn’t make sense and there’s no sort functionality to fix it. This has been an issue going back over 6 years. Will this ever be fixed Sonos? See the attached examples where Little Simz latest album is not at the top of the bottom but 6 from the bottom of the list!

I have an ipad air 12.9” M2 6th gen 2024. Trying to trueplay the ARC I get device not supported. The official trueplay page does not list this model as Not Supported or in Coming Soon.Will trueplay be supported or is this a bug?

The title says it all. The new app does not have that function anymore. Please bring it back or black-out the background in the now playing mode. Thanks!

Hi. I have 2 era 300’s set up as a stereo pair. One is connected line in to a Sony turntable so I can listen to vinyls. I want to be able to switch now and again to make them part of surround sound set up in same room. I want them as rear surrounds to a beam and Sub when watching movies. I understand there is no quick way to do this. (Which is frustrating) so I have to unpair the dress then set up as surround sounds via beam setting. My issue is, I cannot unpair the 2 erra 300’s. Just keeps saying unable to unpair check network. I’ve tried unplugging all devices, factory resetting the erras. Still can’t unpair them. Spent an hour on the phone to Sonos and still facing the issue. They’ve told me to unplug everything inc router, sky boxes etc. I can't do that everytime I want to switch from surrounds to stereo pair. Any advice is welcome. 

Hi Folks, there’s an unofficial Android TV app being developed, the developer (not me!) is asking for people to trial it before it’s released.The developer has been really responsive and communicative re. anything I’ve suggested so far, and the app is looking really promising. I am using up to date sw om my system and app. I have Sonos Connect gen2 playing Tidal. Why do songs end abrupt just before real end? I do not find any setting about fading between songs. Anything I can do?I am using ethernet cable to the router. I have 1GE switches and 250Mbit WAN.

There’s a five year old thread (now closed) asking for this to be addressed and many comments agreeing and proposing potential fixes.I’d like to revive the converstion because it’s so much part of a good playback experience to be able to change what’s coming without stopping play in order to do so. Surely this is a necessary functionality for any music app!!

i’m so disappointed…my phone can connect just fine to my somnos system but soince updating my mac to macos 15.0.1sonos app can’t see my system i check in security settings, sonos app is allowed

Provocative question. Currently still running the 16.1 app on Android. Have a range of products from S1s through to Arc + pair  Era300s. System is mainly used for listening to music from NAS and surround sound for TV/movie watching. Some functionality is now greyed out in the 16.1 app, other than that I'm happy with the old app.Is the new app now safe to upgrade to? What would Sonos representatives present on this forum recommend? Is your new app now safe to use? Is it a better experience versus the old app?As an objective measure for when the Sonos executive team should start to receive bonuses again I'd suggest an 90%+ yes response rate to these questions would be a good yardstick. 

Litt Live (formerly Dash Radio) inside Sonos has had an issue on my system for several months. When I play a Litt Live station, it gets added to the list of "Recently Played" items in Sonos.However, when I try to replay that Litt Live station from the "Recently Played" list, Sonos always serves a "Content is Unavailable" error. I tried to troubleshoot this with Sonos a couple of days ago, but they couldn't help.After almost 2 hours wasted on the phone rep and with their chat rep, they finally told me that the reason for the problem was that Litt Live "had been removed from Sonos" and was no longer an available service. They said that the Sonos developers had just had not gotten around to removing the Litt Live service from the services available, which is why I was still able to remove and re-add Litt Live (per their instructions) to try to troubleshoot. Does anyone know if this correct? Is Litt Live no longer available as a service inside of Sonos? Th

With the new app is there a way to create multiple households?  Does the concept of multiple households still exist in new controller app? 

When I change radio stations the Sonos screen does not change to the new station. Tonight, several hours ago, I was playing BBC Radio 4, I then switched to Radio 3, then BBCScotland, then Radio Swiss Classic, then MDR Rundfunk. However, the screen still tells me I’m playing BBC Radio 4 !!!Dear Sonos reps, were you aware of this, or am I first in line?

Does anybody know how exactly the Sonos Music Library update process works ?I get intermittent update failures when initiating the update from my PC Sonos Controller app, but the proverbial “//nas/music_share folder is no longer available” message will always appear within the first few seconds of the update. If it gets beyond this then the update proceeds for sometimes hours, but will work.I just wonder what exactly is happening in those first few seconds that causes the error and then when you get past this point what is then happening.My understanding from Sonos is that once the update is underway all communication is between the Sonos speakers and the NAS drive (in my case) and the index is then replicated around each of the speakers or Amps. Apart from initiating the update, the Controller (PC) plays no part.It seems there’s some initiation process right at the start that frequently fails, throws the error message to the Controller and doesn’t move o

Has Sonos/Last.FM scrobbling been dropped? It’s not working for me (at least from my iOS app). This article seems to support the observation. For those of us using Sonos to stream otherwise unScorobble-able services like Apple Music, it's such a loss. I know Sonos has bigger problems, but if anything can be brought to bear from this end to get us scrobbling again, we'd be so grateful.

I have 6 and unless you want to play un plug one plug in other down load sonos 1 download sonos 2. redownload app, delete app plug in holding button until light blinks white and red. Hold button down until green light blinks complete trash 

**Alternative app that works perfectly with my Sonos system**The Sonophone app works perfectly and now I can finally use my Sonos system again.The new Sonos app is unreliable and unresponsive.  For Sonos to release this update with so many flaws was negligent and incompetent.  It made my (extensive and very expensive) Sonos system unusable. 

Hi, I use the latest Spotify App on iOS 18.0 and setting up the alarm with a Spotify playlist does not workwether I use and existing alarm or create a new one the following happens:Open Edit Alarm → Music I search for my playlist  Select the playlist get “Set Alarm music” promt - “ would you like to use”XXX” for your alarm music tap “OK”  App goes back to Alarm overview “Alarms” ( I can see it briefly stepping back in “Edit Alarm”, then back to overview “Alarms”)  Alarm music is not changed / still Sonos ChimeI tried reconnecting Spotify, reinstall App and its Spotify premium
