After years of using my fantastic Cocktail Audio X12 Music Server with Sonos we got the new app. After a year of update after update, I still cannot add my Music Server to my Sonos system. I am looking for help, and also now looking at different ways of playing music from my server. Sonos is going in the bin next year. Merry Christmas!!

So are you looking for help, or tossing Sonos out?  If the former, you need to configure Cocktail as a Samba server (See Sec. 5-5-1 here:  X12 Cocktail Manual)

Then add using the network share option as described here: Add your music library to Sonos
