Controllers and Music services

Anyone ever have every music service stop working and figure out a fix? Like I know the new app is a dumpster fire but this seems extreme. It wouldn’t even load for 6 days and now this WTF? Local music library = Something went wrong. Sonos favourites don’t load. Recently played don’t work (something went wrong error).  play.Sonos.com = internal server error.  Also can’t delete to re add services.  But everything works in SonoPhone and Desktop controller which indicates not a network issue   

Hi,I’ve not really formulated this thought fully but I would love the ability to have a device, located prominently in the house showing what is playing currently.  It happens so many times that we have some background music on - and a visitor to the house will ask what is playing.  It’s easy for me, becasue I whip out the phone - with the Sonos App - but I think it would be awesome if ‘everyone’ had a view.  Ideally, this would be an external screen / monitor with the current Album/Song displayed.  I dont know if this could be a Sonos App thing - i.e. I get myself a cheap tablet and in-wall mount - which permanently runs the Sonos App or should it be a totally external device that essentially runs Shazam (or equivalent), constantly sending soundbytes to Shazam for it to recognise the music playing - i suspect the latter is full of issues - not least what Shazam displays - but this is the rough concept.I dont even think this is necessarily linked to Sonos - its application could be for

Today I have encountered yet another issue with the new Sonos App. Choosing a Spotify playlist, album or song from within the Sonos app no longer creates a queue.  It simply displays the relevant artwork and only plays the first track, regardless of which track in a playlist or album is selected.  The queue incorrectly indicates that the session was started from Spotify.  I have never encountered this problem before.   I have a very solid WiFi network and have been using SONOS extensively for many years.  Has anyone else had this problem and managed to rectify things?

I have had my personal music collection on NAS drive since buying my Sonos system. now the second NAS has broken and I need a new one. I don’t plan to keep anything private on the NAS and need the cheapest 1gig NAS around that’s simple to operate as I’m not technically. what do people recommend please?my music collection is in iTunes but you can’t play it directly from there!

Hi all, please help me get Sonos to work via Amazon Music app for my son 🙏My son has a Play 1 in his room. He has the Sonos app and can play via that but he really wants to be able to cast it via the AM app so he can read song lyrics, also it’s just way better, visually. But no speakers are shpwing up on the AM app at all. He’s logged into my Sonos account, my Amazon Alexa account and his own Amazon Music account (as family member)

This new version of the SONOS app 80.07 has been frustrating! We all agree the earlier version worked and was not broken. Anyway… big surprise this evening - my playlists have just appeared in the app. Was this  scheduled upgrade? First time I have seen them on the app since the “upgrade”.  

I downloaded the latest Android update. It found my system on the first try. I usually had to try several times before. The controls seem more responsive.However, when you try to play an album from Idagio, it still will not let you play the complete album like it would do before. This makes the app almost useless with a streaming service that has albums.I am forced to play music from Idagio on my phone and then cast it Sonos. They doesn't always work. Sonos continues to infuriate their loyal customer base. There are multiple people who have Sonos based on my recommendation. I can no longer recommend this to anyone.I tried to leave feedback on the Play Store for the new update. You can no longer rate the app. The rating capability has been turned off. This is still the worse software update on history with no rollback provision. Hi.love the product, cannot fault the quality of sound, at all.BIG problem. New app. SONOS, WTF?not compatible with mesh networks at all. I had sky Wi-Fi before, slight drag issues, but nothing dramatic. Eero mesh? Doesn’t like it at all.why am I wasting my words? You might actually care for consumers that may consume you, if you do not fix it?end. 

My CR200 + Bridge + Five Speakers have been working for the most part reliably for 10+ years…. And only recently I lost connection to a Play 1 and was having trouble reconnecting it back to the SonosNet.Multiple calls to the Help Desk yielded advice and directions that had me end up with my System being placed into Wi-Fi Mode…. which then disabled the CR200…I asked and tried to return everything back to the way it was… but after many calls and hours was told “nothing more could be done”…..Yes… I know “everything” is obsolete and no longer supported… but that never stopped me before. And I do use my Android with S1… but the CR200 is just a great single purpose/easy to access convenience and I would like to resurrect it.I’ve gone through the most of the FAQ’s / Threads on steps to restore what I had. Nothing worked. But then I tried some steps of my own and amazingly everything began to work and my CR200 populated with all my speakers also worked. Yea!That was short lived…. and I lost So

Is anyone else having issues with Amazon Music?All seemed to be working OK until a few days ago, but now it takes forever to connect (loads of something gone wrong errors) and when it finally decides to play a song (they are all in the queue) it plays one or two and gives up.Sometimes browsing works, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s really frustrating.

I still wish the Sonos App would just consistently play music on my selected speakers without dropouts, missing rooms, etc. (you can add all the features you want, but if you can’t play music at all what’s the point?), but once you fix THAT…On an iPad using Stage Manager, if the Sonos App window is at certain heights (such as any hight but full horizontally) the layout of a search item detail sheet is messed up, removing the handle to swipe down to dismiss from view. If you grow the window to full height the handle is there, but some of us would like to use a smaller Sonos window to control things while using other windows horizontally.Here’s a video of the issue and photos are below.Again, please fix the core functionality first, but add this to the list.  

Is anyone experiencing any issues with Amazon Music? Since Saturday I am getting 'no content items available', then it will connect and work and then the next day the same message again. Done the usual, disconnect and reconnect the service, delete/ reinstall the Sonos app but still the same issue. YT music and all my other services are working fine. I will contact support but I thought I would ask here first. I am using a Pixel 8 pro but this is also happening on my wife's android phone. Cheers  

I just got a new Roam 2 - this is my first Sonos speaker. I cannot get the Roam 2 connected to the Sonos app. The only way I can play music on it is through my phone.I have factory reset the dang thing at least 5 times. I am using a Verizon mifi for internet.Any suggestions?

This exact error has been widely reported here, but mostly for Macs. None of the official accepted “answers” for Windows provide a solution.Running Sonos Controller for Windows 16.2.This all started when I repped some of my CDs and tried to re-index the folder. It hung for hours. I let it run overnight, and it was still hanging. I closed and restarted the app. After that, any attempts to access the Music folder - or any subfolder - fails with the 913 error code.I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Controller. That has NO effect on this failure.The Controller either suddenly won’t support WIndolws Folders, or it leaves some “residue” during indexing that cannot be removed by uninstalling the app. It could be hidden properties on the folders themselves, hidden Windows Registry keys, something. 

Just me or is the Amazon Music interface within the app a suboptimal experience? I primarily use playlists (that I curated). I have to tap at least twice to get to anything I created via “view more” then playlists. Spotify list what is relevant to me front and center when I open the app and I can get there with 1 tap.In Amazon it’s “content for you” but none of that is relevant until I at least click into playlists then recently played. It’s at least three taps to open a playlist and the first two taps take a sec to load.

Is there anyway to disable Sonos radio in the app I’ve seen this question asked here however, the Thread is closed to replies.  my chief complaints about Sonos radio is that you can’t turn it off and if you’re using Sonos voice controls it seems to prioritize Sonos radio over Spotify. This is very annoying since there are commercial breaks, and it isn’t nearly as refined as Sonos as far as music quality from song to song.  Pushing a crap streaming service when all of us already have our preferred streaming services. It seems like a deliberate money grab for another subscription Just to avoid commercials. But it’s crap please don’t force us. We’ve all been suffering since May   

How can I get information on remotely accessing my Sonos system remotely?  I’ve had the need several times now when traveling.  It seems possible reading through various threads.

Hey folks, More than 2 months now have gone by and I am still happily on my old S2 app, all updates disabled.Why? When it works, it's absolutely amazing – the sound quality is top-notch, and I've invested in quite a few of their products over the years. However, the reliability issues have become unbearable.For the past few months, even before the recent app update, I've been experiencing constant problems. Music often won't stream at all, it stops mid-play, some speakers refuse to connect, and sometimes I can't connect at all. These issues are making the system practically unusable, which is incredibly frustrating given the amount of money and effort I've put into it.I'm now considering alternatives to Sonos. Can anyone recommend a different setup that offers similar sound quality but with better reliability? What are the steps for adding new speaker location designations within my home? 

Feature request:Bring back ability to control volume with iOS (iPhone, iPad) physical volume buttons.The removal of it is exceedingly aggravating.  The work around sucks. I will own 11 Sonos devices.  But I will buy no more as long as it works this way.  This situation is so poorly communicated and badly implemented that I am gone as a customer until you resolve this.
