Controllers and Music services

Is anyone else having issues with Amazon Music?All seemed to be working OK until a few days ago, but now it takes forever to connect (loads of something gone wrong errors) and when it finally decides to play a song (they are all in the queue) it plays one or two and gives up.Sometimes browsing works, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s really frustrating.

I still wish the Sonos App would just consistently play music on my selected speakers without dropouts, missing rooms, etc. (you can add all the features you want, but if you can’t play music at all what’s the point?), but once you fix THAT…On an iPad using Stage Manager, if the Sonos App window is at certain heights (such as any hight but full horizontally) the layout of a search item detail sheet is messed up, removing the handle to swipe down to dismiss from view. If you grow the window to full height the handle is there, but some of us would like to use a smaller Sonos window to control things while using other windows horizontally.Here’s a video of the issue and photos are below.Again, please fix the core functionality first, but add this to the list.

Is anyone experiencing any issues with Amazon Music? Since Saturday I am getting 'no content items available', then it will connect and work and then the next day the same message again. Done the usual, disconnect and reconnect the service, delete/ reinstall the Sonos app but still the same issue. YT music and all my other services are working fine. I will contact support but I thought I would ask here first. I am using a Pixel 8 pro but this is also happening on my wife's android phone. Cheers  

I just got a new Roam 2 - this is my first Sonos speaker. I cannot get the Roam 2 connected to the Sonos app. The only way I can play music on it is through my phone.I have factory reset the dang thing at least 5 times. I am using a Verizon mifi for internet.Any suggestions?

This exact error has been widely reported here, but mostly for Macs. None of the official accepted “answers” for Windows provide a solution.Running Sonos Controller for Windows 16.2.This all started when I repped some of my CDs and tried to re-index the folder. It hung for hours. I let it run overnight, and it was still hanging. I closed and restarted the app. After that, any attempts to access the Music folder - or any subfolder - fails with the 913 error code.I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Controller. That has NO effect on this failure.The Controller either suddenly won’t support WIndolws Folders, or it leaves some “residue” during indexing that cannot be removed by uninstalling the app. It could be hidden properties on the folders themselves, hidden Windows Registry keys, something. 

Just me or is the Amazon Music interface within the app a suboptimal experience? I primarily use playlists (that I curated). I have to tap at least twice to get to anything I created via “view more” then playlists. Spotify list what is relevant to me front and center when I open the app and I can get there with 1 tap.In Amazon it’s “content for you” but none of that is relevant until I at least click into playlists then recently played. It’s at least three taps to open a playlist and the first two taps take a sec to load.

Is there anyway to disable Sonos radio in the app I’ve seen this question asked here however, the Thread is closed to replies.  my chief complaints about Sonos radio is that you can’t turn it off and if you’re using Sonos voice controls it seems to prioritize Sonos radio over Spotify. This is very annoying since there are commercial breaks, and it isn’t nearly as refined as Sonos as far as music quality from song to song.  Pushing a crap streaming service when all of us already have our preferred streaming services. It seems like a deliberate money grab for another subscription Just to avoid commercials. But it’s crap please don’t force us. We’ve all been suffering since May   

How can I get information on remotely accessing my Sonos system remotely?  I’ve had the need several times now when traveling.  It seems possible reading through various threads.

 Hi everyone,I'm reaching out to this community because I'm at my wit's end with my Sonos system. When it works, it's absolutely amazing – the sound quality is top-notch, and I've invested in quite a few of their products over the years. However, the reliability issues have become unbearable.For the past few months, even before the recent app update, I've been experiencing constant problems. Music often won't stream at all, it stops mid-play, some speakers refuse to connect, and sometimes I can't connect at all. These issues are making the system practically unusable, which is incredibly frustrating given the amount of money and effort I've put into it.I'm now considering alternatives to Sonos. Can anyone recommend a different setup that offers similar sound quality but with better reliability? I'm open to all suggestions, whether it's another multi-room system or even a different approach to home audio.Thanks in advance for your help!!!!

What are the steps for adding new speaker location designations within my home? 

Feature request:Bring back ability to control volume with iOS (iPhone, iPad) physical volume buttons.The removal of it is exceedingly aggravating.  The work around sucks. I will own 11 Sonos devices.  But I will buy no more as long as it works this way.  This situation is so poorly communicated and badly implemented that I am gone as a customer until you resolve this.

I know there are longer threads about the new app, but as this is a specific issue relating to Mixcloud I thought I would create a new topicSince the update the only feature that works in the Mixcloud service is ‘favourites’. None of the ‘following’, ‘followers’, ‘uploads’, ‘stream’ etc have any content (despite all of them being populated in my separate Mixcloud app) . These are critical parts of the service, which allows me to search for music and which were present in the previous version. I have tried removing the service, then re-adding it, but to no avail. Is anyone else having any issues?

On the new app, if you try to disable wifi on a wired device, such as an Arc or Sub, it will hang, crash, and then it may even say it's disabled. But then the device reboots and its back to enabled. When you do it from the old app, it properly disables the wifi. This is easily reproduced 100% of the time. Please do not respond with why you think wifi should be on - my entire system is wired and works perfectly wired. Anytime I add a new device, I have to dig up an old iPad with the old app on it to disable the wifi because the new app does not work.  Also, why doesn’t the Mac app or website have the features to disable wifi or add components? 

I changed my router so I had to setup my speakers again.You force me to download your mobile app.You force me to update my speakers (Play1) for some reason (why do wireless speakers NEED updates to work?)Your force me to download you “Controller S2” app on my PC, because for some reason, the Controller S1 is no longer compatible WITH THE SAME SYSTEM I HAD FOR YEARS?!You say it will “update” my controller and transfer my previous settings. Hi, I have my Sonos set to stream music from my NAS drive. I created a playlist with over 5000 songs and had the ability to add, delete, edit and move music from streaming apps and my local drives. The following features I had are still missing from this latest update. Can someone from Sonos please provide a timeline as when these features will return? Album Artwork is not displayed for Android. It is for IOS.Only the Song & Artist is displayed, missing AlbumSwitching to queue goes to top of list, it needs to go to the song playingAbility to add, delete, edit, move songs in queue 

It’s so annoying that they have removed Apple Music from the web app. Any reason? Licensing costs?

I can no longer control the music selection or volume on my Sonos equipment. Due to the new app it is dysfunctional. If you will not roll back to the old app then we will collectively need to seek a refund on your equipment as it has been mis-sold.

Hi I have came up with a workaround  for the issue with international radio station streams not playing in the UK. Here is the solution not ideal but it works. If you have a ROAM or ERA 300 speaker connected to your system you can use your phone to open up the Web app for my tuner radio find the station you want then connect your phone via Bluetooth to one of the above speakers and group with any other sonos speaker in your system. As I said not great but I have my radio stations  back on sonos. 

I’ve had my LG OLED 65” TV and playbar for a few years.   Our dog ate the Magic LG remote.  Ordered a new one and can’t get the Playbar to control the TV volume.   Sat on the phone over an hr with Sonos technical support and they can’t figure it out.   We changed manufactures to Sonos, Bose, Phillips, Samsung  and none of them will control the volume while watching TV….   If I turn the TV off and open the Sonos app to listen to music, I can control the playbar with the Magic remote.   This makes no sense to me!!  I spent a few hrs messing with this, watching Youtube and reading forums and can’t figure it out.   Reset the playbar to factory setting and still nothing.  You would think in 2024 electronics would sync better!!

Tidal on the new app. Cover art is missing from the playlists and you’re not able to add anything to the Sonos Favorites. Is this going to be addressed?

How to downgrade S2 to S1 downgrade tool in IOS where is the tool and whatwould be good doing this, i have 1xNew amp, 2xplay3,1 play1, 1xSonos ikea lamp.
