I have had and cancelled the subscription after they botched the app and ruining the investment of over 15K I have made into sonos over many years. 

Anything it plays you cant save to anything but “favorites” which just causes you to still hunt for it.  Doesn’t give you the ability to save as a playlist etc. which was one of the more valuable past features.  I personally would not waste the money as its just serving up music like any other service. 

Sonos pro uses the same app as the app for home use?  I thought they were different apps?

I use Sonos for my home. Nothing commercial. I don’t understand what benefits that I’m getting? Thanks

The Pro system is designed for much larger venues, such as gyms, restaurants, hotels, clubs, etc. There is a master control that sets parameters for the whole system, which could be a chain of restaurants or hotels. Local control is allowed, within parameters set by the master. Copyright royalty payments are incorporated in the fees.

Pro is a business product and not very appropriate for home use, but I can imagine some situations, such as an Airbnb or absolutely unruly kids where Pro could be handy.
