Controllers and Music services

I thought that the new S2 App would have sorted this out. Am I missing something here? I don’t really care if this is an Apple issue or Sonos issue - it is a massive drawback. Any other suggestions for how to work around this apart from looking for an artist’s ‘Essentials’ playlist? 

I have searched enough and saw people who asked ‘how to turn off’ questions got a weird ’low power consumption’ answer with no further explanation.  I dont want a new task in my life 5x times a day (multiply with 3x device) to plug off arc, sub, one sl power cables. What’s the logic behind this? Stability issues? Why does a company prefer forever (low or not) energy consumption?

Hi,For a few weeks I have not Bern able to add songs to the playlist. On both out devices.I have reset both devices. The Connect installed ok. Fyring reinstall of the Play:1 it gets to a point where it check for an app update, and can not connect to the internet. The router have been reset several times, and I have tried updating connected with a cable. Btw. there is internet connection from the router.On the Connect when I want to play a song, I find the son in the Sonos S2 app on Spotify, and click 'Add to queue' or 'Play'. After a few seconds it is saying 'could not add song to playlist' error 701.I have removed my Spotify account from my Sonos account, and added It again.Nothing has helped.App version 12.2.2. hardware version 1.17.5.5Any help is appreciated,Jesper Lorentsen 

Can you tell me when I can epxect Apple Music to become available as a Music Service in Iceland}

I recently added my SiriusXM app to my Move app in an attempt to be able to ask my Sonos Move to play SirusXM.  When I ask the Move, I’m told “Sorry, it looks like SiriusXM isn’t currently supported on the move” Has anyone else been able to make this work? If not, does anyone know of a timeline where this is to be supported?Thanks

Anyone else notice the Android Controller app has lost dark them App Preference?

I updated my iPhone to iOS 14 and since doing so, I cannot get the Sonos app 2 to play Spotify playlists. It says cannot add songs to queue. I have 2  Sonos Play: 1 and am using the Sonos 2 app. I've tried turning my phone off, removing the Spotify app and adding it back, and rebooting router, removing the Sonos app. Nothing works. 

Several S1 devices and a couple of S2. Operating S1 only and want to stay that way. I keep getting this message:“Update the Sonos app to the latest version…”Is this an update to S1, which I’m open to getting, or will this move me to S2, which I do NOT want? SONOS should make the messaging clear.Thanks.

Hi,I’ve been using a Connect model S15 for over a year now and today i bought a Connect. I tried to add them together via S1 app and i couldn’t. I also tried to do it via the S2 app and no success either.What’s the issue here? Both apps seem to be the latest versions.I can use them both at the same time on my WiFi, both work on other’s app but i cant make them work together in one single app as a system.thanks for your help

Hello, Noticing with all the HD music becoming available recently, Sonos HD radio and amazon HD finally available in Canada (just signed up for), none of them work with Sonos as of now. Any word on when either will be available in Canada? Thanks, Gary  

Hi, I have a PLAY:5 Gen1 which is now discontinued and just disappeared in my app as a device. I presume this is because it is now fully not supported. However, I use it only for it’s line-in capability with a record player. Does anyone know if there is a way to get it to continue being used as a line-in speaker if there is no way to get to it from the app? Thanks

The output tab in sound preferences won't let me choose sonos speakers even though they're on the list of available of airplay devices. the stereo pair I’ve set up is listed as the room I’ve labeled them, as well as my appletv, but when I select that name, it says ‘the selected device has no output controls’, and reverts back to the previous output. is it because i’m still using catalina?

I set up the remote using the optical setting and set it up in the app.  The remote works fine when I’m watching TV...if I start playing music through the app on my phone, the remote will only work for a short time after the TV is shut off….after that the only way to control the volume on my system is through the app on my phone.  It’s almost like the TV remote system goes to sleep after the TV is shut down.  Thoughts?

Why won't it connect? Works fine on the xm app but not through sonos? I've noticed sonos is pushing their radio could that be the reason to shut down my xm service? So frustrating and i complain but no one can figure it out all of those engineers from MIT and nothing huge disappointment 😒

My Spotify is alphabetical in the Spotify app. Why isn’t it alphabetical in Sonos? Better yet, why can’t the songos app let me alphabetize things? 

Hi! I don’t have the true play option in my set up anymore and I have a plus sign and a question mark beside the room name too. Any ideas? I have an Arc and the wireless sub. 

Hi I had to update my WD My Cloud to OS 5 and in doing so I lost connection to my library. I am running sonos on S1 as I have a Play:5 and bridge that don't support S2. Once updated the WD My Cloud, the link to my music library needed to be updated. I have tried to do this via the conversational NAS drive connection that we had before and the My Cloud Home Service setting, neither work. Nas drive gives me a error 900, where I've followed instructions to adapt the bite rate to 24 and 26 and I still get the issue. When I go through the My Cloud Home Service I can see the directories but no music files. Please can you advise, I feel like I'm going around in circles. Very frustrating..!  

Just a quick ask if anyone has discovered or heard anything regarding the 12/8/20 update besides the traditional performance updates, and other such etc...

If I did my job as badly as your app developers, I’d be sacked that same day. Utter useless rubbish, wasting my time 5 times a day. I can’t believe the incompetence.

HiI have an iPad Air 2 running on 14.2 which cannot find Sonos. Both my iPhone and windows laptop can.I have removed the WiFi and added it back. Still nothing.Any ideas?

This question has been around for several years and does not appear to have been resolved. I discovered it last night with 3 of my albums named Maiden Voyage.  A search for the by album name brings up  one listing with all 3 albums’ tracks.  If I search by artist, yes then only one of the albums appears. Sonos it is time to address this issue.

I’ve been using this app for quite some time across several Sonos devices and yesterday the app when opened was empty of content and displaying a message “unable to browse music”. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it but the problem remains. What is the problem and who owns it - Sonos or radio.net?

Hi I have old Play:5 (Gen 1) and Play:3 speakers and use S1 Controller on a Windows laptop. My Controller suddenly won’t open other than on a page which requires an upgrade to S2 Controller.  Unfortunately I clicked on the upgrade button and believe my speakers have now upgraded to OS2 and won’t work.  I uninstalled the S2 Controller and reinstalled S1 but no joy.  Any ideas?  Or is this just a way of making me upgrade to the new generation products?
