Controllers and Music services

I can log in to sonos.com correct, But in the app it is some other user I dont know. I above is not correct.       

Since upgrading to new Sonos S2 app I no longer have play controls in the notification drawer or on the lockscreen. Anyone else seeing this?Have tried adjusting notification settings in the app and in the OS (running 10.0.9) but to no effect. Tried to clear the app cache as often fixes app issues but no change. Same issue even after full device wipe!A friend with 7T does not have an issue so wonder if this is specific to the Pro?Any help appreciated!

I have mostly older Sonos equipment. 2 S5’s, 2 S3’s and a couple of newer S1’s. I have moved my extensive CD collection to my hard drive and hardly ever use streaming services. I much prefer to manage my system from my computer rather than my Pixel4XL. All of this is to say I don’t care diddley about new software just to keep up with streaming servicesI just fired up my windows app and it wanted me to update (which I had just done less than a week ago!). So I did. The update took 3 minutes, said it was done but then goes right back to asking me to update again. I cycled through it 3 times (it doesn’t take long now, I guess because it is already updated.But it won’t do anything else. Everything else is grayed out. Oh yes, it will allow a reset. I’ve got no time to screw around with that, running all over the house, resetting speakers, just because I want to play a little music. 

Please play just music on your stations! I just started listening today to Concert Hall and loved the selection but you need to lose the moderator between songs.

With the introduction of Sonos Radio the company is now throwing up advertisements for Stations it thinks I might want to listen to. WTF? If they want to expand their services, fine - but I have zero interest in Sonos Radio. I don’t listen to it and will not subscribe to it. I see a lot of people asking how to remove it from the Services even. Of course Sonos won’t let you remove it (which is terrible in its own right) but whatever… The argument goes “you don’t have to use it”. Well that argument only goes so far when Sonos starts pushing the service on me without my consent.  These are not audible ads while listening to Radio, to be clear. These are prompts to use Radio WITHIN the Sonos controller app. Example: while in the “Search” page browsing through my own damn library the app throws up card telling me I should really be listening to some Dolly Parton Holiday Station (!!!??!). It steals the focus and you have to engage, either X-ing the promotio

So I have some Sonos components that are not S2 controller compatible.  I have been pleased to see the upgrade program changed so that you don’t have to brick your old equipment.  That being said, this past month has brought some required updates to the older equipment that make it unusable.  The S1 controller indicates that several components need an update, but said update never goes through.  I have restarted all of my network equipment, changed DNS servers, rebooted audio gear and even plugged it in to a network cable, plugged into the switch on the router.  None of this has worked and it seems that I will be unable to use the components I purchased, quite a few actually.I have been with Sonos since the early days and believe that the system is still the best.  Despite my loyalty, I will not be very happy if I have to trash my existing equipment because of a forced update that never works.Any help would be greatly appreciated, but I have exhausted all of the advice

 can not install s1 and s2 at the same time on a windows10 computer, anyone have the same problem?

I have an iPad Pro 2020. My music is on my iPad. I can not get my music library set up on the iPad. I can play music by Airplay, but would prefer to use full functionality of Sonos software and add my library. When I go into “Musi Library” there are no libraries listed. If I hit the “+” it asks for a path, but shouldn't this recognize the music already on the iPad..? Please share on how to set this up other than Airplay..?

Will there be a Web player for Sonos Radio HD subscribers?I enjoy the service but am finding it hard to justify when I can’t use it on the go or at work.

Hi,Question - is there a way to enable WOL from the Sonos App or Play 5 to bring a networked pc out of sleep.If not, are there plans to introduce this basic functionality at some point? Background:I have several devices that access a shared folder (external USB drive) on my Windows 10 PC. While the PC is powered on, everything works fine and Sonos can access everything.In order to save some trees I have set my PC to sleep if no activity for 5 minutes and use WOL to enable access via my other apps (e.g. Mezzmo). This works fine and the PC comes out of sleep as soon as anything tries to access the drive. EXCEPT for Sonos.It appears that Sonos does not send a WOL packet so the PC remains off when i try to play anything from my shared drive. This means I either power on my PC and disable the sleep function so the drive is always available (waste of power/trees) or only use Sonos while I am working on my PC (not convenient as the speaker i

Hello,I’m unable to connect to my Symfonisk using the Sonos controller app (61.1.82310) on Windows 10 (64-bit, version 20H2), even though all is working fine from Android.The Symfonisk is connected to the wireless network.The PC is connected to the same router via ethernet cable.Both devices obtained a DHCP IP address in the same class C network (192.168.255.x)I’ve been searching the forums and checked all possible issues I could find:the PC ethernet connection is using the Private profile Windows firewall rules for Sonos are in place (the controller s/w did that) I can ping the Symfonisk from the PC I can see the Sonos Support Info page on the browser on the PC (http://192.168.255.21:1400/support/review) I’ve disabled the firewall and the AV (Windows Defender), the problem remainsWh

...I have 2 different groups… one is playbar/play 1’s/ and sub  other group is 2 play 5’s I can group them in app or by pressing pause/play on … however .. in the app I can control volume of play 5’s grouped as a plus one with the bar/ones/sub… however as I press the volume up or down on my play one from my chair … it only increases the volume on sub/playbar/play ones …. what can I do to fix this ???… much obliged for any help 

Hi! I have selected Sonos in the menu after the last system update  and the vol+ an vol.- are working, but when I try to mute don't work. Anyone with the same problem?

S1 doesn’t work, all my devices are down including Boost. Why is this happening thought I was dealing with a professional company that cared about customer service… Unfortunately that does’t seems to be the case. Been a happy customer since 2010 but a pioneering spirit seems to have been replaced with an eager for profit, Sadly. 

So, trying to add radio stations to my Sonon One SL using the app.The instructions I’ve been given bear no relationship to what I see in the app.All I want to do is add some radio stations. The app is a joke. So fed up that I’ve wasted my money on Sonos.

How do I enable the ‘ Now Playing Format on the TV part of he S2 app?  I can see it by going into “My System” only 

I thought that the new S2 App would have sorted this out. Am I missing something here? I don’t really care if this is an Apple issue or Sonos issue - it is a massive drawback. Any other suggestions for how to work around this apart from looking for an artist’s ‘Essentials’ playlist? 

I have searched enough and saw people who asked ‘how to turn off’ questions got a weird ’low power consumption’ answer with no further explanation.  I dont want a new task in my life 5x times a day (multiply with 3x device) to plug off arc, sub, one sl power cables. What’s the logic behind this? Stability issues? Why does a company prefer forever (low or not) energy consumption?

Hi,For a few weeks I have not Bern able to add songs to the playlist. On both out devices.I have reset both devices. The Connect installed ok. Fyring reinstall of the Play:1 it gets to a point where it check for an app update, and can not connect to the internet. The router have been reset several times, and I have tried updating connected with a cable. Btw. there is internet connection from the router.On the Connect when I want to play a song, I find the son in the Sonos S2 app on Spotify, and click 'Add to queue' or 'Play'. After a few seconds it is saying 'could not add song to playlist' error 701.I have removed my Spotify account from my Sonos account, and added It again.Nothing has helped.App version 12.2.2. hardware version 1.17.5.5Any help is appreciated,Jesper Lorentsen 

Can you tell me when I can epxect Apple Music to become available as a Music Service in Iceland}

I recently added my SiriusXM app to my Move app in an attempt to be able to ask my Sonos Move to play SirusXM.  When I ask the Move, I’m told “Sorry, it looks like SiriusXM isn’t currently supported on the move” Has anyone else been able to make this work? If not, does anyone know of a timeline where this is to be supported?Thanks
