I visited a friend with a Sonos system that had an alarm set up in the morning. When I was there I got notifications on my phone when this alarm started. Now, I am home and connected to my own Sonos-system but the alarm notifications keep coming every morning.

  • I have checked the app, and there are no alarms listed.
  • The speaker/room name that shows up in the notification does not exist on my own system, only on my friends system.
  • Both systems run on the S1-app due to older speakers.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

If this continues to occur even after force-closing the controller app, I’d suggest resetting the controller. When it restarts tell it to connect it to your existing system.

Force-closing app does not work. When you say “resetting the controller”, is this a functionality in the app? Or is it the same as uninstalling and reinstalling again?

When I opened the notification a pop-up stated that it is possible to turn off the notifications when I am not home. I can’t find this in the settings, but I was able to activate this functionality from the pop-up. Hopefully, this will solve the problem.

Controller reset is an option at the bottom of Settings/App Preferences. Yes, it’s effectively the same as uninstalling and reinstalling.
