Can Sonos update the volume controller to show the % In volume. When you set the alarm you choose volume and can see the % of the volume. But you dont know how high the % is because you can see it when you use the volume In general. So please always make the % visible
Apologies if this is a daft question, but although I’ve owned Android-based phones for years, I’ve never really had to understand them as I just use them to make phone calls! The question: can the Sonos Android app be persuaded to display in landscape screen orientation? On my phone it only displays (by default) in portrait. Why do I want to know? Because I’m planning to get a small tablet with docking station to use as a remote control, and that can only dock in landscape orientation.
The Sonos Spotify UI is limited vs direct Spotify, i.e. Recents… Why would a company that makes hdwr limit the apps that they try to facilitate in their own host app? Why do I need the sonos app to manage my music that is already managed in Spotify? Sonos is just another layer of software that has limited value added. Seems its purpose is to monitor my Sonos Move use.
I have specific playlists created in Music in OSx (iMac). I want to access these playlists via the iOS Sonos app and play them thru Sonos speakers. (Speakers are not AirPlay compatible). How do I do this? I don’t need access to the complete Music Library on the iMac. Just specific playlists.Thank you for your support.
I am using Apple Music with Sonos and have many songs in a playlist. I would like to sort or search the songs so I can find and remove duplicate songs. If this is not available, please consider it in a future release!
It took me a long time to figure this out but when music is played on Sonos via a voice assistant command then lock screen controls and notification shade controls on Android don't show up. This happens even if you open the Sonos app and view that room. If you initiate playback selection from the Sonos controller itself it will in fact show up on the lock screen and in a notification shade. it would be great if the lock screen and notification shade controls show up regardless of where the music playback was initiated.
I’m not seeing a desktop controller app for my MAC to link my iTunes account to the Sonos app on my iPhone. The MAcBook pro is older.
Hi Folks, I have been using SONOS for a number of years. We have players in several rooms. We use SONOS as our alarm clock. We want the same selected group of speakers to play the same radio show (so they will be in sync) when the alarm goes off. When we set the alarm we check “Include selected Speakers” which I though meant the speakers presently selected and expected SONOS to remember but it does not. Through the course of the day the groups change and evolve according to user needs, At the end of the day the day the group is never the same as the one we want in the morning. SONOS does not remember what we want, it simply plays any speakers that happen to have been left grouped with the speaker in the master bedroom. This leads to the same scenario every morning: the alarm goes off in the master bedroom, I stumble to the kitchen in my pajamas (cursing myself for forgetting to sleep with my cell phone), I stumble around trying to find my eye glasses and then look for the cellp
If I clear a promo or suggestion once don't show it to me again. I spent a lot of money on Sonos products and don't want to be bombarded by never ending up sells.
If I have an Apple TV connected to my television using a Sonos Beam as audio out, will I have to disconnect the Beam if I use two HomePods wirelessly connected to the Apple TV? Or will the Apple TV automatically output audio via the HomePods and not the Beam?
Hello there,I want to buy a VPN for streaming and gaming. I have shortlisted these VPNs. What's your opinion about these:- Pure VPN 86% off on 10 devices for 5 years.- Nord VPN 68% off for 2 years.- Express VPN 35% off for 1 year only.TIA
HI I want to listen to music on my PC and then be able to stream it wirelessly to my Sonos one speaker pair. However I can not find a way todo this and the only way is to stream it from my phone to the speakers or use the SONOS APP :-/ I use Amazon music on my PC and would ideally like to be able to send the output from Amazon (on my PC) to my Sonos speakers. At present I have to use my £19.99 speakers from Currys which do a far better job than my £500 pair from sonos. So in other words all I want todo is the most basic of tasks and that is play music on my PC and then onto my Sonos one speakers pair without having to use the Sonos app and wirelessly. Can this simple task be achieved some how? Thanks
I have 7 devices and the system has been unstable for a few days. It drops rooms, sometimes it sends music though them, but they are not listed on the S1 controller on either mine or my wife's phones. I have reset the rooms that keep dropping, and the Linksys Velop WiFi net and it has not sorted the problem
S1 Controller /iMac running macOS High Sierra 10.13.6Manage Library Options are all greyed out and Sonos system not finding my iTunes Library anymore.
I have 3 kids who have Amazon Music through a family plan. I want to add all of their plans to my Sonos so they can have their music available on our Sonos (several speakers through out the house).Every time i try to add a new service and log them in, it fails. It takes me to the Amazon login, i log them in and get this message (in red, so i assume it’s bad)“Your login can only be used on the Amazon Shopping app, or by logging in to Amazon.com online”Has anyone got their family accounts working? (not other adults, but your kids)Thanks,JM
We just created a number of playlists. Only the first 8 show up on the iPhone app in the Favorites (the only place I seem to be able to find the playlists).
Fairly minor irritation but these loom large during lockdown (especially UK Tier 4).I use a Beam as my PC speaker so that when not watching movies on the PC I can have good sound quality for background music. Most of the music I listen to is from my 600+ CDs ripped to .flac and served by Plex from a NAS. Don’t know how many different artists there are but I usually select on artist rather than CD name and this is the root of my question. On the Apple apps (have both iPhone and iPad) selecting by artist name is helped by an alphabet index link down the right hand side of the selection screen so getting to something like Van Morrison is quite painless. This alpha link does not appear to exist on the PC app and scrolling through hundreds of artists is a pain. I wonder: (i) is this a set up issue? or (ii) how do I make a request to Sonos to update the PC App?
Does Sonos have an option to sort playlists alphabetically or by artist etc also is there an option to find duplicates in a playlist? As playlists can be created over many years it would be extremely helpful to have a feature like this?
When using the SONOS Move on Bluetooth, it would be a useful facility to be able to access playlists in the app to play music. As you can’t currently it means duplicating playlists in whatever streaming service you use. I dont think it would be too difficult to implement this change.
Where did the pause all devices button go when upgrading from s1 to s2? Should be an option in system settings.
Have anyone been experimenting with DJing with the Sonos systems. And I don't mean just hitting a playlist and letting it run. Like activity controling volume, what part of the song is playing, having 2 songs playing on individual speakers at the same time, playing around with treble and bass. I'm trying to see if I can throw in a mixer also to have a legitimate session, now Sonos has told me that running 2 tables(turntables) and then throwing in a mixer will cause to much latency. But I was thinking hardlineing a iPad or something into a speaker and using one of the various DJing app to possibly get some mixing elements into it. My System: 2x Play:1 with the physical buttons and a last gen play:3 , I chose the music listening experience instead of TV because I'm currently a college student also share your own systems to. KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS, IDEAS , OR SHARE ANY OF YOUR EXPERIMENTS WITH THE SONOS
I know the S2 app unlocks new Sonos features. But does it make a difference in sound quality between S1 and S2 apps?
Quick question. Just getting everything setup and would like to understand one thing with respect to Apple Music. Assume I’m an Apple Music Subscriber and I’ve got it all setup correctly in Sonos S2.Here is the question:Within Apple Music, I have a song “downloaded” for offline listening. Inside the Sonos app, if I play that song, will it stream it from my iPhone to the Sonos device? Or will it stream it from the Apple Music server? Same question but lets say for an entire playlist. A playlist that I’ve created inside Apple Music. If I have told Apple Music to download the entire playlist to my iPhone, what will sonos do when I ask it to play that playlist? From within Sonos App.I’m actually hoping that for downloaded songs on my iPhone it still streams it from the Apple Music server. That way it won’t burn up my battery on my iPhone and will instead offload it to the device for streaming. It should be a choice I suppose. That way you could decide for various conditions what works best
Do a google search on <Sonus support ****>. I actually was stupid enough to believe your company was top notch, not, 1.4 rating. Lots of complaints. I’m going to sledgehammer all my sonus products to bits, place in a pile, douse with lighter fluid, light on fire while taking a video of it all and post it on SM sites and tell the world your products are a pile of xxxx. I’ll make sure to send you a personal copy.Edit: Offensive language removed
S2 problem . The newly downloaded S2 controller keeps dropping my Play:5 device. I can't control the music in my house anymore. I've already been conned into upgrading to the new Play:5 the day before Sonos backtracked by saying they would support older kit. We also have a Play:3 and that is not a problem. Sonos, I love the system but NOT the customer support. There are so many comments here about the failure of the S2.
