Quick questions. If I airplay from my iPhone to multiple Sonos Speakers, does it only Airplay to one sonos device and then use the Sonos network to send it to the other sonos devices?Perhaps an additional question. If I have a group of Sonos speakers and the group is called say Family Room, do I have to airplay to each speaker in the Family Room Group? Or does the Family Room show up as one target and I just airplay to that? If the latter, I assume back to my original question, it will just airplay to 1 of the group members and use Sonos network to send it to the others, Right?I guess a third scenario is that I might have say 3 sonos speakers NOT grouped. In that case, if I Airplay to all 3, is it 3 seperate streams? Or just the 1 stream and use Sonos Network again somehow? I guess this is really question 1 just written more clearer. LOL.Just trying to understand what goes on under the hood. Prior to my Sonos setup, I was airplaying to multiple Airport Express targets and I’m pretty sur
If I set an alarm in the Sonos app, when the alarm turns on, I expect to see a Sonos screen on my device that allows me to snooze the alarm or switch it off. This only happens intermittently, is there a reason why? I am on v 10.5.2.
I recently changed from a WD MyBook to a Synology NAS. I can access the Synology Music folder from my computers, phones, etc. I cannot add the music library from Sonos. I have the logon and password entered correctly. I am getting a 900 error. I have increased the IRPStackSize to 24 as instructed elsewhere in the Sonos Community. I have added a user (“Sonos”) on my Synolgy DSM. Still no success. Any suggestions?
The volume of my spotify music is fluctuating up and down intermittently on its own. The volume of my Apple TV is also dong the same thing from time to time. To my knowledge I do not have any Alexa enabled devices enabled on my system. I cannot find the cause. I have a complex whole house system made up of many Sonos components. Please help, this is very frustrating. Thank you!
Is Sonos S1 compatible with Big Sur
Since buying a Beam I can no longer stream music to my Apple TV in different room. I can select Apple TV from airplay menu but get no sound. Screen mirror works for images but not sound. Music streams to Sonos but not the Apple TV. Have restarted Apple TV, Phone and Router and still not working. Any advice would be great.
I have lots of Sonos Playlists that also contain songs from Spotify. Are those songs explicitly against my Spotify account or, if I remove my Spotify account and replace it with another Premium account, will they still play seamlessly from the Sonos Playlists?
Hallo, after upgrading my system to S2 everything is working fine, but I am missing the most important feature (at least for me) within the app: In S1 it was possible to select a song from Google Play Music or Amazon Music and hit the “start radio”-Button. This feature is also available in the GPM and Amazon Music Apps - and it was in sonos. Now I always have to open these apps and use the cast function and switch back to sonos for grouping speakers etc. That’s really annoying! Is the feature just moved somewhere and I am unable to find it? Thanks in advance! drohhyn
Can anybody help? I have paid for Pete Tong via Live-Now tonight.I have the website open on my laptop,I have Sonos open on my laptop. How can I stream the URL via my Sonos!?I have 4 sonos 1’s and the Sub
This keeps happening all the time, any clue on why? Its not my wifi
We have had Sonos for several years and listen to various genres. Our favorite channel is Concert Hall, mostly because the curator/announcer/DJ (whatever they are called) is incredibly knowledgeable and interesting. Now we have switched to HD and he is gone! Why in the world would Sonos take away such an integral part of this programming? The HD quality sounds great and we are very relieved to be rid of the hideous ads, but please bring back the curator, or find a way to give paying listeners a choice!I spoke with a customer service rep today and he said he would pass on my request. Maybe if enough people complain…???
Why is Sonos radio not playing SHEIN FM 88.9 in Calgary any longer I’ve been listening to it and as of yesterday it says it’s no longer available
Hi, the S1 app on my iPhone isn’t working at this time. It says it is connected when I press the 2 buttons on a speaker then reverts back to not working. my wife’s iPhone has no problems using the same app. thanks
How can I connect to my mobile router? Currently I just have internet via a mobile minirouter. Subsequently I cannot connect the ethernet cable to the router as advised in the set up on the Sonos app. I’ve tried connecting my Sonos One via the ethernet cable in my apt. and leaving the mobile minirouter close to the speaker. No success. Any advice, please?
I have tried both sonos apps and neither work. When I press the app to launch it, all i get is the splash screen and that is it. No errors no nothing . The splash screen is all I get. I just got a new phone running iOS 14.2 and installed the apps from my backup of the old phone. Allow Network access is on for both app versions. What the heck do i do now.
Sonos won’t allow tracks stored on my phone to be added to Sonos Playlists. My question is, what music service or Android app will allow me to create Playlists from tracks on my phone that I can then either play through Sonos or cast to Sonos? Or whose Playlists I can import to Sonos? My Google Play Music and YT Music apps will create Playlists from tracks on my phone, but can’t cast to Sonos (SONOS doesn’t show on list of available device) My Tidal app will cast to Sonos, but won’t let me add tracks from my phone to its Playlists I tried the Samsung Music Player based on a post in the Community but it just keeps stopping (I’m using a Pixel 2 so that’s likely the issue) I should mention that my YT Music app also has the limitation that I can’t mix locally stored tracks on the same Playlist as streamed tracksI have hundreds of tracks I’ve accumulated over the years and my phone is my primary music library because it’s always with me. I’m relatively new to Sonos and am shocked that it won’
I’ve seen similar talk a few year back but nothing recent. Is it not possible to Airplay a Beam when it is bonded with other speakers? the suggestion seems to be to Group them instead but I’d have no proper surround if I do that. I’ve seen the explanations on the older Playbar etc but my three speakers are a day old and are sold as AirPlay compare ale with no mention of that being disabled when using them bonded. Are their any ways around this at all?
I am so missing a playlist function when playing books from Fabel / Storytel. Annoying when you have a series for children where each book lasts 12minutes and you have to open the next book manually after the first one stops. Any way to solve this?
When I browse and go to Spotify I have zillions of albums and playlists i do not own, or even like. Sonos is forcefully showing me the following categories with HUGE THUMBNAILS!:Made for meGood nightPopRockJazzBest of artistsMoodNew releasesRecommended audioThrowbackChartsJump back inFresh new musicChillDaily musicBased on your music listeningHappy AND FINALLY after 17 Categories:My library!!!This is ridiculous. And all these are with huge thumbnails and i have to scroll down for years to get to my Spotify Library! Why? This is not a service! This is making life difficult with your own money!I pay for Spotify, I pay for Sonos and i have to bear with this ????I wish i could send you a screenshot.
When I first bought my Play 1 and downloaded the Sonos app to my Android device, I had no issues playing songs from the playlist on my device (Samsung Music - nothing fancy). Then at some point (months ago) I can see everything (songs, genres, artists) but when I select “Playlists” the screen just shows “No selections are available”. Tried clearing app cache and data, went into Sonos app settings, System, Music Library, Update Music Index Now, allow it to scan but nothing seems to happen. Have tried calling Sonos support (couldn’t get through), tried asking via Facebook and the solution was so convoluted a gave up. Pretty much ready to sell my Sonos products, delete the app and just stick with streaming my music using Blutooth. Any advice greatly appreciated.
I can log in to sonos.com correct, But in the app it is some other user I dont know. I above is not correct.
Since upgrading to new Sonos S2 app I no longer have play controls in the notification drawer or on the lockscreen. Anyone else seeing this?Have tried adjusting notification settings in the app and in the OS (running 10.0.9) but to no effect. Tried to clear the app cache as often fixes app issues but no change. Same issue even after full device wipe!A friend with 7T does not have an issue so wonder if this is specific to the Pro?Any help appreciated!
I have mostly older Sonos equipment. 2 S5’s, 2 S3’s and a couple of newer S1’s. I have moved my extensive CD collection to my hard drive and hardly ever use streaming services. I much prefer to manage my system from my computer rather than my Pixel4XL. All of this is to say I don’t care diddley about new software just to keep up with streaming servicesI just fired up my windows app and it wanted me to update (which I had just done less than a week ago!). So I did. The update took 3 minutes, said it was done but then goes right back to asking me to update again. I cycled through it 3 times (it doesn’t take long now, I guess because it is already updated. But it won’t do anything else. Everything else is grayed out. Oh yes, it will allow a reset. I’ve got no time to screw around with that, running all over the house, resetting speakers, just because I want to play a little music.
Please play just music on your stations! I just started listening today to Concert Hall and loved the selection but you need to lose the moderator between songs.
With the introduction of Sonos Radio the company is now throwing up advertisements for Stations it thinks I might want to listen to. WTF? If they want to expand their services, fine - but I have zero interest in Sonos Radio. I don’t listen to it and will not subscribe to it. I see a lot of people asking how to remove it from the Services even. Of course Sonos won’t let you remove it (which is terrible in its own right) but whatever… The argument goes “you don’t have to use it”. Well that argument only goes so far when Sonos starts pushing the service on me without my consent. These are not audible ads while listening to Radio, to be clear. These are prompts to use Radio WITHIN the Sonos controller app. Example: while in the “Search” page browsing through my own damn library the app throws up card telling me I should really be listening to some Dolly Parton Holiday Station (!!!??!). It steals the focus and you have to engage, either X-ing the promotion closed or clicking the big “Play
