Hi! We're looking to install 6x outdoor speakers in the ceiling in an outdoor seeting area. We want to have these speakers amplified with three Sonos amps in one “room” with a third party subwoofer an amplifier. I heard that it's not possible to have more than two Sonos amps in one “room” configuration (so used as three stereo pairs together). Is this correct?
I currently have a HEOS/Denon system that’s connected to Wifi and with 4 hardwired speakers and a Sub that is connected wirelessly (not sure how they did that. Pro install), in my outdoor patio. I intend to keep the hardwired speakers and use a sonos sub. Anyway, I don’t like a wifi system. I want to be able to play or have guests play their favorites channels via bluetooth rather than getting on my wifi system. What do I need to accomplish this?
I have a Sonos Connect:Amp.it is about 7 years old.it has started to play up, cutting out frequently. This happens every three/four days.to fix this, I have to switch it off overnight after which it works fine again for a while.at the moment, I switch it off and pull the plug every night and all is fine.however, this is a new thing so not how unit should work.has anybody had anything similar?FYI if I play through Alexa at the same time there are no breaks in the music, which suggests to me it is not the Router or anything upstream.I begin to think the unit is overheating. Letting it “cool down” seems to be the fix.Any thoughts greatly appreciated!bob. Moderator edit: changed Sonos Amp to Sonos Connect:Amp for accuracy
All of my TV sound is piped into sonos amps so I am able to play my TV sound in all speakers in my house. I wanted to connect a mixer through the sonos port and into the amp so I could sing vocals with wireless mics into the sound board, and combine the sound from the TV and the mixer. Is that possible?
Is it okay to connect two powered base speakers to the amp using a splitter on the amp's base output jack?
Possible a slightly quirky setup question, but I’ll ask anyway. Apologies that this relates to my other question, but I feel it warrants a sepaarte topic. EDIT: Please ignore! I just realised that wiring in series is not recommended, so that rules out me adding another pair as I had hoped. I have a Sonos Amp driving a pair of Monitor Audio C180 (https://www.monitoraudio.com/en/product-ranges/basics/c180/). These are 6 ohm. I want to add another pair of speakers at the other end of the room. The ones I am looking at are 8 ohm. Should I be able to safely drive both sets of speakers off the same amp, with the wiring being fed Amp > C180 (6 ohm) > new speakers (8 ohm) ? My knowledge around resistance etc is poor.If the above is not recommended, would it be better if I bought 6 ohm speakers so that all four were 6 ohm? Many thanks Jim
hi is any one can tell me why my sonos speakers cant connecti have 10 amps and like 10 wirless speakers i can play 8-10 togheter but when i tried to add more zones it dont let me do it it show me (unable to connect t device try again laterthank yall for any help or advice
I have multiple rooms with speakers wired to Sonos Amps. I also have a playbar. When listening to Amazon music, Spotify, apple music, and Sirius XM the music continues playing on the playbar without fail, but comes and goes regularly in the rooms that are wired to the Amps. The amps are Ethernet wired to my router, and the playbar is wired to the amp as well. Can someone help suggest a fix for why the amp would stop playing to wired speakers, but continue playing to the sound bar?
Bonjour, Le Sonos Port est il compatible avec la Sonos Arc ?Le Sonos Port peut-il envoyer du son ( en wifi) sur la Sonos Arc ? Merci d’avance . Moderator edit:Google Translate-Good morning,Is the Sonos Port compatible with the Sonos Arc?Can the Sonos Port send sound (over wifi) to the Sonos Arc? Thanks in advance
I have a connect amp that was working fine until today. Not sure which of my family members messed it up but I’m very confused what to do. It’s saying that the sound is coming out of my kitchen speakers but I’m still not hearing anything. Any help would be very appreciated!
Hello I have a Sonia amp which has been professionally installed . It worked for 10mins and then a red scd white flashing light has come on. After an hour with dojos support rebooting and doing what they told me it's still not working. it's one amp and 4 speakers can anyone help me solve this. the amp has strong wifi
I’m not sure if this is intended behaviour or not, but it is really annoying. Whenever I want to share what im currently listening to, I must stop playing on my Sonos speakers and play on my phone momentarily for all my recent scrobbles, including what im currently playing, to be pushed to last.fm. It used to update live, but doesn’t anymore. I’ve done all of the usual stuff - i.e. unlinking and relinking last.fm and Sonos, Spotify, etc etc
I just setup my Sonance MAG 6.1 garden series speaker system last. I first tried playing a movie and it seemed to only play the the front L and R sound channels, no audio dialog. The sound was coming from an AppleTV 4K via AirPlay. Next I tried playing music from my iPhone via AirPlay and again part of sound (the voice dialog is missing). Then I tried using the Sonos app Sonos Radio to play music and again the voice is missing. I called Sonance an verified the speaker installation and the it is wired in parallel and all speakers and the subwoofer are working. Anyone have any ideas why I am only get part of the audio program?
Helloi have an amp connected to 4 sets of in ceiling speakers that was working great and now suddenly when I put the volume past 70ish the sounds cuts out. When I unplug the right banana clips I can go up to 100 volume. I understand this to be a safety feature so the amp doesn’t break beyond repair but I can’t fathom what has happened to the right cables to cause this issue. We had some construction work done and new lights installed but I don’t see how it could be related. Does the community have any ideas what the issue is in the connections/cables to cause this? thanks in advance for the help
Hello, I’ve never used the S1 app, but I’m looking into buying a ZP90. Can I stream Apple and Amazon music on S1? Just looking at getting an audio signal into my old hifi system. It has an optical input, but not coaxial, so I don’t want to get a Port. Thanks
anyone have an idea/fix for a S2 connect amp that won’t stop blinking white. Tried new router tried to reset existing router. tried to re-setup hold play/+
Hello - hopefully a straightforward question. Is the ZP90 compatible with AirPlay 2? The reason I’m looking at one of these is to stream audio to my HiFi as it has both optical and coaxial audio out, where the Port is limited to coaxial only. Thank you
We would like to make it as easy as possible for guests to use the Sonos amp and speakers in their rooms to stream audio from their phones. The best solution we’ve seen for this in other rental properties is VSSL, where the user simply connects to a bluetooth receiver with the corresponding room name and voila - their iphone audio is streaming through the in-wall / in ceiling speakers. Has anyone attempted to provide an alternate audio source for the TV audio in from their sonos amps, so that alternate sources can be used as the “TV Autoplay” feature in a local room, especially when no TV exists in that room?
I just installed Sonos Amp with my speakers and a KEF HTB2 subwoofer.I see in the Sonos app I can set the phase to 0 or 180 - and I have a switch on the subwoofer that does the same thing - 0 or 180.I set them both to 0.My question is “why” do I have the same setting via Sonos app and a switch on the sub - and should they be set to the same setting - 0 in my case.
Hello! I just moved and got a new router. In the process of getting everything hooked up I’m having a line-in problem. My system is Sonos One, Play:3, and Connect - which I have hooked up to my receiver. I have my Connect hooked up exactly the same as it was before but my line in is no longer working. Everything but the connect is working. I get the message in the attached photo when I try to use my line-in. I was on the phone with Sonos for almost an hour last night and couldn’t get the issue solved. All hookups have been checked and double checked for a firm connection so that’s not the issue. Hoping the community can help! You’ve saved me so many other times!
Damn.. my connect keep cutting the connection to WiFi, it’s like it has to load to play maybe 1 minute and then load 3 sek again, driving me crazy. all other Sonos work fine, Beam, Move, Ones also. any suggestions? (WiFi is 550 download and 340 upload at the current room (garage)
I was listening to Audible all morning over my Sonos and it suddenly disconnected. I went to reconnect and am getting a modal saying, “This content is not currently available to be played on Sonos.” I’ve literally never had an issue playing Audible over my Sonos. What gives? What changed? Zero help from any support from Sonos. Extremely disappointed right now.
SONOS App version 16.1 (but I’ve seen this on earlier, recent revisions as well)Sonos S2 OSSystem includes SONOS Beam, mini-sub, Sonos One (x2). The entire system is connected wirelessly.iPhone 12 Pro, IOS 17.3.1 (but I’ve seen this on earlier, recent revisions as well).Summary: My iPhone Sonos App frequently, and arbitrarily loses connection with my Sonos system. It seems very clear that the wifi connection between the APP and wireless network is extremely fragile. Which is weird because the network is quite stable (it serves two TVs, two laptops, two iPhones, tablets, etc) in all other respects.Symptoms include:After playing for awhile, I’ll glance at the app and notice that it is not showing the currently playing song. On startup, my iPhone reports that it cannot connect to the Sonos system When browsing my music library, it will report that it “cannot browse the library”. The library is stored on a NAS device on the same network. When this is happening, I am still able to connec
I have a Sonos Connect Gen 2 that is connected to my WiFi along with 4 other Sonos Speakers (2 x Era 100 + 2 x One Gen 1). All but the Sonos Connect seem to be connecting via 5Ghz. The Connect obviously connects via 2.4Ghz.All 5 components are seen and work fine through the Windows Sonos S2 app on a PC hardwired to the network and on a laptop connected to the WiFi. I can group all 5 Sonos devices and use Line-In on connect. However the Connect has disappeared from my my Sonos S2 app on my tablet and Samsung phone. They are all on my 192.168.50.x network. This has all been fine until very recently (may be a S2 app update has caused this issue ?).The output of of the Windows Sonos S2 app Help/About this system is shown below:Associated Product: 192.168.50.93---------------------------------Era 100: Kitchen Sonos (L)Serial Number: ******************Sonos OS: S2Version: 16.1 (build 78151070)Hardware Version: 1.38.1.10-9.1Series ID: A102IP Address: 192.168.50.93WM: 1-------------------------
