Hello, For the amount of money I have spent on Sonos, they have to pivot to the original companies prurpose. I could have purchased a Hi-Fi amp, and beautifully crafted speakers for the same cost. SONOSs' app update has failed and left owners with brick devices and in the lurch once again. The google disconect with GEN 1 speakers and app update making speakers useless, and within 2 years of purchase is also unforgivable. l keep my suround (Play Bar, Sub, 2x Play One, and a Play 3. I sold a couple of Play 5s. I am NOT going to buy any new product, when every update makes devices useless. You can spend $5,000 much better on high quality wired equipment that you control. For this amount of money you can get some serious hardware and never have to deal with an app, or a poor update ever. The constant cancellation of threads and conversations in this community space is also telling. Stop deleting the threads & stopping those who are having conversations about the value of your product &
HiGot a Sonos Connect. It is currently connected via wifi. Will both of the ethernet ports in current setup works a a switch?I mean, can I connect two computers using ethernet cable and connect to internet? The wifi is then acting as an uplink to the router.
I know the warranty is for only 1 year, but as my luck would have it one of my Amps just stopped working will not power on. So I called support knowing it would be bad news, but thought hey since my wife wants me to remove all Sonos speakers after the app update since she hates the new app and I know it’s a huge big issue for a lot of people, so I thought maybe Sonos would send me a refurb replacement once I shipped my broken one back. That seemed fair to me and my wife will not see I had to spend money on any Sonos products and everything would be back up and working for me. However, I was met with strong push back that all Sonos could do is give a 30% discount. Again, totally get it and hey 30% is better than nothing, but right now when the company is trying to keep any loyal customers they still can (and boy am I loyal I have my entire house all rooms with Sonos and I also did my parents house the same way as well) and thought maybe they would be more flexible with their warranty du
I have the Arc, amp and various Sonos speakers around the house. Linked to the system is an Innuos Zen Mini 3 which holds my music collection. All I want to be able to do is listen to my music while my wife watches the t.v. with her using the Arc.I have a Sonos Port which is not in use at the moment. Is it possible to achieve what I’d like to do if I use the Port, connect its output to something like an Ifi zen blue 3 transmitter. I then wirelessly link a pair of bluetooth headphones to the output of the Ifi giving me the freedom to listen to my music in an adjacent room or alongside her. Has anyone achieved this or have any other ideas?
I am helping my father-in-law, her has an old Connect:Amp. It seems to be working to play music via the app, and I get output via the subwoofer port, but there is no Left or Right channel from the amp. Normal run is into the house speakers, but I have tried connecting a speaker directly and still no joy. So it looks like the amp is dead on both channels. I am not familiar with Sonos products, but is there anything else to reset or settings that would prevent this? As a side note I have not been able to configure anything because he does not know his password for Sonos (he is 81 with Alzheimer's). So at some point I will need to claim these devices (Connect:amp, Play:3, Beam Gen 2, Sub Gen 3) under another email without them being released from him. If that’s not possible then these gen1 devices are probably just junk at this point.
I have sonos systems in two different internet locations/houses. Prior to the update, my app would identify my system automatically. Now I have to re-join a system when I change locations. Is this something that others are experiencing or is being or has been addressed? I also have serious lag when using volume controls but looks like others have posted about that already.
I know people have posted about this but there doesn’t seem to be a real clear answer. I have a sonos amp in my basement. I have an outdoor project that is not ARC or E-ARC. From what I have found there is still a way to get my outdoor projector to play out of my B&W outdoor speakers. Something along the lines Amazon firestick in HDMI audio extractor extractor into HDMI to optical sonos adapter and then on the other end HDMI into my amp? Also, I plan to use an outdoor weatherproof box because the distance from my outside to my amp would need about a 75 ft HDMI cable. I want to have a splitter so I can run two shorter cords.
My current setup: den with TV → Ethernet to Port input → RCA output to 5.1 receiver DVD input2 other Sonos Amps running various other speakers, and 1 Arc soundbar (on a different room’s TV) on my household Sonos ecosystem. I have the den TV connected to the Port to enable TV sound over all Speakers throughout the house. My question is can I add a Phono / turntable to the existing Port using RCA, thereby connecting into the 5.1 receiver and integrating into the Sonos system? I would essentially have 2 inputs into the Port that way.Or would the better solution be to remove the den TV ethernet connection to Port, connect the Phono into the input side of the Port using RCA, and then when I want whole-house TV sound, utilize the soundbar from the other room’s TV? My den TV’s picture is not always sync’d with other rooms TV’s so I’d prefer to keep it as the main source of Sonos TV whole-house sound if possible, because it is most likely the TV that we will be watching.
I have 2 feature requests: allow Sonos Amp (Moderator note: corrected from Sonos Sub) to connect to wireless front speakers. Not all setups can use a soundbar (eg TV over fireplace) allow hdmi remote to control volume of grouped Sonos speakers based on community feedback and web discussion, these features would be useful to many thanks.
The audio coming from my Sonos port is delayed compared to the rest of my Sonos speakers. Is there a way to sync it?

The playback indicator (the little animated graph) that moves when a speaker is playing a source is no longer being displayed in iOS app.
So we just moved into a new house with a Sonos system installed. I have hard wired the ports into the eeros router and they showing up on there. I go through the set up and get to the stage that says push the button to continue. I press and press and nothing happens? What am I doing wrong lol I cannot get past this step
Hi, since the new S2 App I can not find Autoplay for line in, I have a Amp and Port that was set for Audio Input autoplay to certain zones, can not find that feature
After using Sonos S1 for over 10 years, the Bridge finally stopped working properly. It was gradual. Lately my stereo pair (S2 compatible) stopped playing music. Luckily, I had purchased a spare Bridge a few years ago. All components are working properly now, but the new bridge has green and white flashing lights. I haven’t been able to figure out how to stop this. Thanks all!
Cómo le hago para resolver el código 803 en un sonos player ZP80? Moderator edit:Google Translate-How to resolve the code 803 into a sonos player ZP80?
The Sonos app doesn’t show “audio in”; it’s just blank on the “Sonos System Info” screen even though there is audio playing. My source is an Apple TV 4K, connected to an LG OLED TV with audio passthrough enabled, and my Sonos Arc is connected to the TV’s eARC port. When I had a Sonos Arc in the past (I recently moved and got a new one), and was using the “old” app, the input type would show on the “Sonos System Info” screen. Is this just another “bug” in the new app, or something else?Thank you in advance for your insight.
A few users have asked after an SSD-only NAS and I’ve commented that such a thing does not exist in the consumer space. I was mistaken. Voilà, the Asustor Flashstor 5 model FS6706T!https://www.asustor.com/en/product?p_id=79 Barebones unit is $450 and accepts up to six SSDs. Add 4TB M.2 PCIe 3 SSDs for about $225 a pop.
Hi. Looking at 6 inch sonance ceiling speakers, and was also looking at 2nd hand ones too due to budget. There seem to be so many different model numbers. Most websites do not even state what model numbers they sell and it's typically only 1 6 inch option. Are the different model numbers just different models over the years or are there actually a choice. The bundles with the amp prices seem to vary so much but not sure if this is due to a cheaper sonance speaker or just a genuinely good price, I can't tell because they don't state what model the sonance speaker is.
What new product will replace the connect amp?
Will the ECB work on my Sonos connect?
I have my Port connected to a Synchro-Mesh via the digital out, and the Synchro-Mesh via toslink to my AMBEO soundbar. The question is this - it seems that virtually any other soundbar does not have an optical input any longer; if I wanted to go to a different soundbar in the future, would it be possible to use an HDMI to toslink converter, but using it instead to convert the optical output to HDMI?
I am currently designing two spaces -- outdoor pool and patio + my primary ensuite. Patio:I’m planning to use an sonos AMP with 4 Polk Atrium 5 Outdoor Speakers. I’d like to have an outdoor volume control. Is this possible? Is so, thoughts on how to do this? Primary Bathroom: We have a large L shaped bathroom. I’m planning to have one dual channel Polk RC6 in the large walk in shower and another single dual channel polk RC 6 above the vanity. I’d like to potentially connect these to a single AMP but have in-wall independent volume control for each speaker--allowing me to listen to music/morning news in the shower and not wake my partner in bed. :) Thoughts on how to best accomplish this without buying an AMP for each single speaker? Thanks!
I upgraded my internet connection to fibre to the property some months ago & the utility box & router are now located in the bedroom (centre of the house). I was online yesterday with Sonos Support & the only way to have the Sonos Connect work now was hard wired into the router. I have a stereo system in the living room consisting of a Marantz amp & Richter speakers + turntable where my Sonos Connect Gen2 used to plug straight into the amp. I have the Sonos controller on both my android phone & laptop. Sonos Support mentioned Line-In to connect. Can I & if so how do I play music to my amp & speakers in my living room using my Sonos Connect?
