Ok noob question alert. Is ZP120 like ZP90 plus amp? Reason for asking is in the used marketplace a ZP120 is not much more than a ZP90. For now I do not need to connect to external passive speakers because I have 2 Sonos 5 Gen 1s. So can I use a ZP120 to wirelessly connect both my Sonos 5 Gen 1s and play music with S1 on my iPad?
Hi,I hope you can help me reset my Sonos Connect. After applying power with the pause button depressed, then releasing the pause button after about 15 seconds:the led flashes white/orange forever the led does not transition to green. the network port (cable connected) flashes so the switch and network is working.I have tried other combinations many times without success.Any ideas please? ThanksRich
Love the Amp hooked up to my Paradigm towers and TV in 5.1 Also using Tidal music awesome sound with the MQA👌👌
I honestly thought it was non techy head that was at fault - but reading some of these comments restores my sanity.I think I've got such a simple set up - just a speaker, turntable and port. Every time I want to switch between radio to turntable I have to do a minimum of 3 steps and check that the port is still ticked, get Line-in etc. I feel like I should just shout at the speaker 'the turntables on' . It shouldn't be this hard.
Hi - I am installing 3 pairs of speakers 1) kitchen 2) great room 3) patio... I want to be able to play the same music on all, and also play music on 1 set only. would never have different music on different speakers. How many amps do i need?
How many wired speakers I can connect to one amp and if they can daisy chain. also. Do we need a Port for each amp?
If I plug one end of a cable into the digital out jack and the other end into USB on my computer with Audacity recording software, will I get a digital signal that I can save on my computer?
My amp is auto adjusting to 15. What’s the fix.
The EQ (bass and treble) settings can be adjusted up to plus 10 and down to minus 10 and the sub setting can be adjusted up to max at plus 15 and all the way down to minimum and it makes no difference at all to the sound which is horribly flat. Turn off sub. Turn on sub. Turn on loudness. Turn off loudness. Doesn’t matter the source either be it NAS drive local library or Spotify or 5.1 video sources. I don’t know if this is related to an app update as I haven’t used it for a couple of weeks but I strongly suspect it is.I’ve restarted the phone, tried a different controlling device. Same. I unplugged the Amp, the sub and the surrounds for 10 mins but on startup still had the same problem. I’m not sure what else I can try. Any suggestions?
I have spent about 2 hours trying to persuade my Sonos Amp to display the CD connected to line-in in the sources list. I unplugged the amp multiple times, as well as restarting the Android app and clearing its cache multiple times. Eventually it showed up. This setup worked reliably with the previous app. I have no confidence that the line-in will still be there tomorrow. Yesterday I posted about line-in source not being displayed in the main source list. After multiple power cycles and restarting the app, it appeared there, and could be used. Overnight the cd player was turned off. Today, line- in has gone again from the main source list. An attempt to play a CD didn't produce any sound after about a minute. It is still in the settings for the room the Sonos Amp is in. I tried power cycling the Amp while the CD was playing. About 30 second after powering the Amp on, the CD music came through the speakers. The line-in source is still not displayed in the main list. Not e
I recently bought a used connect 2. When I connect it to my wired network. Sonos app s1 detects it but tells me to use Sonos app v2. However in sonos app v2 doesn’t detect the device. I tried factory reset (press play and up button while powering up) it flashed amber for a few second and then go green. Did I miss something? Did the previous owner forget to transfer ownership or something?
Hello,I am trying to figure out whether I need to upgrade my whole system which was bought in 2015. I’m sorry I haven’t kept up with all the changes. Here’s the situation:I have four connect amps serial numbers like: ***************** registered 10/15. They are wired to speakers in the wall in a few rooms in my house. My old regular sonos app doesn’t connect anymore. The S1 and I think I tried the S2 apps don’t work either. Is there a fix for this? Thank you so much to anyone who can help. I did try to scroll through the other answers but I think I’m so late to the party that this is a really old issue.Moderator edit: removed serial number
Hello, I have a Sonos amp upstairs and is connected to WiFi. I have speakers downstairs to the roof which are connected to the amp. However I am not able to detect the amp on my mobile app after I’ve changed mobile. please advise. Also is there a way or a page using which I can detect which WiFi network amp is connected to?
I have a Sonos Amp along with a pair of Sonos by Sonance Outdoor speakers and I want to connect-add a passive GLS8 OSD Subwoofer along with a Fosi M03 mono sub amp, is this configuration possible all together in the Sonos Amp??
So I've been posting fairly consistently about the missing sub controls on the Connect:Amp S2 - after getting my hands on a newer generation connect amp which has the sub controls in the app, it's become evident that the "sub output" feature has been removed from the Connect:Amp without ANY notification of doing so.Is there any plan to restore the sub output on the Connect:Amp or will I have to raise this with trading standards? The app mis-steps I can just about deal with, but removing features without notification is completely unjustified!
I'm just going to keep posting about this until I get a fix or Sonos acknowledges the damn bug!I have 3 sonos amps, and a powered sub. Connecting to the sub output on the amp works, but very quietly. I have to push the subs' gain up to full to get any output! Critically, the app doesn't show the sub controls when a sub is plugged in. At all. I've tried all 3 amps with the sub, all exhibit the same issue. Anyone else seen this? And is sonos even going to acknowledge it? Or will we see another pair of damn headphones before they do?
Anyone experiencing issues with the new app and Sonos port? i’m looking to buy one but concerned it may have connectivity issues like the boost.
Hi,since quite a while the playback of radio streams via MyTuner stops randomly. The music then simply stops and I have to restart the playback either via the app or via the speaker.Yesterday, I was told by the Sonos customer support to switch to a wired setup as my diagnostics showed wifi interferences. Now I’m back to a wired setup and I observe the same interruptions even on the device that is directly connected to my network (and on the devices connected via SonosNet too).Network-wise I’m using a fairly standard Ubiquiti setup consisting of an UDM pro some switches and AP’s. My internet is running stable and I do not face other complications, e.g. Spotify works smoothly in both network modes.Could anyone please have a look into my diagnostics if there is something else that could point to the issue?*Moderator Note: Removed diagnostic number for privacy. *Thanks!Sebastian
I just purchased the Sonance - MAGO6SYSV3 - Mag Series 2.0-Ch. Outdoor Speaker System Powered By Sonos. It’s essentially 2 passive Sonance speakers with the Sonos Amp. I was able to successfully set everything up but the speakers are not registering on the Sonos App (and are not picked up in my Sonos account) to actually register for any warranty issues. Can anyone help me figure out how I go about registering the two speakers? thank you!
I thought we finally put the Sonos problems behind, but after last update of apple update ios.17.6.1 the Sonos app is lifeless. It doesn’t even open. Thankfully SonoPhone always works. Handy as a back-up just incase. I’m not even going to and try and fix this, just make sure that I won’t buy extra speakers etc for a while
Hi Community, What’s the current preferred way to connect a hi-fi with Sonos to use it as a player? Ideally with digital audio, not line out from the Sonos device - I’d prefer the Denon AVC’s DAC to do the work. Is that Port now? Sonos’s description of Port confused me - seems to be intended to broadcast a line out signal to Sonos speakers, which is the opposite. If it is Port, is there any advantage of Port over a second-hand Connect Gen 2? Thanks!
I just moved into a new home and it has 4 speakers. But, looks like it only has 1 set of these wires. Can I still connect them to Sonos Amp? Thank you
I have a damaged Sonos Era 300, does anyone know what resistor should be in the place marked in the photo? possibly the parameters of the components in this area, maybe someone has the motherboard?
I have an outdoor/patio TV setup. Wondering the best way to arrange this system. Someone suggested the SONOS outdoor speaker set for my patio TV setup paired with a AMP. I was about to purchase and realized I have TWO first Gen/Older AMPS in my closet that I replaced with the newer (gen 2) ones to use in my house. My patio is positioned in a way that WiFi simply isn't possible. I have power out there but you have to walk probably 50 feet past other units to get to my private patio. Theres no outets to run extenders and its much to far. So lets just assume NO wifi. To watch movies I connect my TV to my wireless hotspot on phone and stream (works great) I live in a very noisy area (city) next to an airport - so its Noisy. I need pretty loud system TV is a pretty basic TCL I got on Amazon (I didn’t want to spend big bucks for something I was leaving outside). TV has a waterproof cover. If I set up a system with an AMP I’d need to likely install the AMP in my shed. So was really hoping f
Hi, I have a JBL 9.1 soundbar with detachable speakers connected to my TV. Now I want to create a multi-room surround sound system in the rest of my home. Can I connect a Sonos Amp with six in-ceiling speakers to my JBL soundbar and play the same music throughout the whole house? Any advice? Thanks.
