Initally set up in one home and took many hours of work arounds to finally get it to play. A few years later resurrected in a different state and simply does not work.I would not recommend Sonos to anyone. Will not recognise my Port and basically feel like I need to be an IT technician just to get it to play a record.I heard Sonos are going broke and that they are trying to discount all their products as a last gasp measure to get some market share back, but basically, the software is too hard for the average person to operate.
Hi. My set up is a Rega Planar 1, Pro-Ject Phono Box MM pre-amp, and an Era 300.The minute I turn the Rega on a massive hum is present. I have scoured the internet and tried everything I can find.Tried grounding the amp and the left channel output on the Rega. Tried grounding to each other, and each one to a radiator. Have tried all combinations of plugs being in the same expansion lead or not.I have laid it all out so no cables are crossing. But no improvement. If I plug the Rega straight into the Era 300, there is no hum (thought the sound is nor great, but just about listenable).I also get the buzz when I use a Bose speaker I had to hand to test.Any ideas?TIA.
I’d like to connect a turntable and a CD player to my Sonos Amp. Is there a way to do this using coaxial or optical outputs converted to the HDMI input on the Sonos Amp, or is an RCA switcher the best option? Thanks!
I have four 'new to me' ZP100s. Three of them set up no problem and have been working fine. The forth keeps dropping off the Connect app. If I run CAT directly to the switch the ZP100 still drops but the network port lights still flash. I've tried factory resetting and re-adding the product several times but it still does same thing. The other oddity is that the white status light on the front of the ZP never lights up - even during factory reset. I've gone into settings to make sure it's set to on and it is.No support from Sonos since I'm not the original owner.Anyone experienced this? I don't think it's power supply since the network port lights still flash.
I am currently building a home and have the prime opportunity to put my favorite sound system in the ceiling but am struggling to find the information needed to power them. Am I understanding this correctly that for every 2 passive speakers I need 1 amp or is there another device that I am unaware of that can tie all of these together?? I am currently looking at 14 - 16 speakers throughout the home. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
I just completed upgrading my Wireless network to a Deco BE11000 Mesh. This has a 2.4 Ghz & 5Ghz Combo network with a Single SSID and a dedicated IOT network with only a 2.4 Ghz SSID. I have hard reset my Play 1, One SL, and Roam, I cannot get any of them to add to either of the Wireless networks. I also have attempted to do an Ethernet connection for the Play 1 and the One SL, while I do see them pop up and get DHCP within my deco app, the Sonos app will not see them or set them up. when I go to https://IP:1400/support/review I getZoneName Unnamed Room LocalUID RINCON_38420B5B1D0C01400 Configuration 0 IPAddress 192.168.xx.xx SoftwareVersion 81.1-58210 HardwareVersion 1.28.2.6-1.2 SWGen 2 QuarantineReason StubReason secreg
Hello, I have a Playbar+Sub+InCeiling+Amp setup for my TV and love it. I have an open floor plan (8x8 meters) which includes the kitchen and dining/living room. I purchased two more InCeiling speakers with separate Amp as I want to be able to play music in kitchen/dining alone or combined with the TV setup. I am wondering if the setup proposed below would work well in mono. Idea is to hear music when cooking (loud ventilation) and also while sitting at the table. If not, what else would you propose? Thanks, Jessy
When I first set up the Sonos ZP90, it successfully connected. But a few days later both Windows and Android apps couldn’t find my ZP90.An orange light blinks continually. It doesn’t turn to green.I tried to reset it several times but it didn’t work.
I have recently purchased a Sonos Port so I can connect and play my older turntable and CD-player through my existing Sonos speakers. I’m familiar with Sonos, but I cannot get the Port to play the Line-in source. Existing Sonos setup is:Lounge Room: 1 x TV connected via eARC HDMI to Sonos Amp and out to in-ceiling speakers.Family Room: 1x TV connected to Sonos Arc soundbar via HDMIOutside Area: Amp connected to external speakers.A few other Sonos5 speakers around the house. Setup of the Port was straight forward with no issues, the AV components are connected to the Line-in on the Port. Set up the Port in the Sonos App and everything looks fine, Autoplay is set to Outside speakers (Sonos Amp).I cannot get the Port to play through the selected speakers (either using designated autoplay room or grouping rooms). Ive reset the Port several times with the same results each time. Also tried different speakers for the auto play.To test the AV components, I connected the turntable and CD playe
I have been running a new Amp with my older Sonos 1s and 5 for a couple years now with no problems. But a couple weeks ago the touch controls stopped working on the Amp. Has anyone else had this problems with the Sonos S1 app?Everything else functions, just not the touch controls on the Amp.
Hi, my Sonos Port is connected via Ethernet cable to my router. However, when I check the “Connection” setting, the option to disable WIFI is grayed out. It is like it doesn’t know it is wired to the router. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hello everyone,I still have a SONOS Amp Gen 1 (App S1) and would like to stream music via Bluetooth (Airplay) which is currently not possible. Does anyone have experience of connecting a bluetooth receiver in between? ---> Bluetooth receiver is connected to AMP, AMP is connected to speaker --> streaming with iphone possible, check :-)Best wishes
I have an aging Sonos Controller with 2 Sonos One speakers downgraded and all working under the S1 App. My problem is with the Line In connected to a DVD/CD player which now shows Disconnected.Everything was working fine until I decided to change the DVD/CD player which was connected by RCA cables. The new DVD/CD player did not work and showed in the S1 App disconnected. I gave up and put the original player back on and got the same thing. I have used several cables known to be working. I have even tried the optical digital cable, still nothing and the App showing Disconnected, I have also reinstalled the S1 appcan anyone help please
I am brand new to Sonos. Managed to set up ERA300 after some help from tech support and can stream music from phone. Nice! But installed Port to send music from old amp (like from CDs) to speaker. Installed ok but I can't figure out how to actually use the Port as a source. Likely obvious but I'd appreciate guidance. Apologies for low level question and thanks. BT
The power amplifier has stopped outputting sound. all other aspects (front end; WiFi, etc. are still working. Inside on the main card I found the main amp power supply is supposed to be 36v. In my case it is only 17v. All low volt supplies are present and correct. Has anyone else experienced low supply volts and what did they do to fix it. Can’t find any broken diodes on the board. Does anyone have a circuit diagram?? BR Pete D.
Hi, I have a single story double-fronted weatherboard in Melbourne, Australia that is being extended, restored and built next year and currently planning placement of in-ceiling sonos speakers by sonance and would love guidance and advice on optimal size (6” or 8”) and placement for both 2 x bathroom areas (Bath 1/W.I.R and Bath 2/Laundry) and then open plan living (TV), dining and kitchen area. For the living (TV) area I plan to have Sonos Arc Ultra, Sub 4, and currently 2 x 8” in-ceiling as rears, but thinking it would make sense to have a 2nd pair of 8” in-ceiling more for the dining/kitchen area and for music. The bench that goes from the kitchen through to the dining will have a turntable and was thinking an Era 300… is this too much? or?In the bathrooms, I thought 6” but maybe 8” would be better and in non stereo? unsure on exact placement or how close could have to shower…Bath 1 is 2.9m - could have speaker in/near showerBath 2/Laundry is 2.9m but then there is a skylight above t
Attempting to update network settings. Being asked for an 8 digit pinConnect amp categorically does not have an 8 digit pin printed either on underside or back. Stuck! Moderator Note - Recorded and removed serial number.
Like many others, I have had issues with the new Sonos skipping songs and stopping play altogether. The answers given on this forum don’t appear to have fixed the issues, at least in my case, but I finally tried something that seems to have helped the issue. I post it here since it seems all the forum questions regarding this issue have been closed. My network has a Linksys router, with a Beam located 3 feet from the router (wireless connection), and two remote speakers located 10-15 feet from the router, so signal strength is very strong. Re-booting everything did not help. Finally, I logged into the router and found the Sonos device on the network. The Linksys router I have allows up to three network devices to be give higher priority, so I gave the Sonos device high priority on the network, and the skipping is improved, but not totally eliminated. It’s barely usable at this point. So I agee that the song skipping issue is network related, but something needs to be done in the new Sono
I have a single Sonos Connect Gen 2 in my setup. It is connected via Ethernet, and WiFi was previously deactivated. After encountering sound issues, I decided to reinstall the system. I deleted the Sonos app, reinstalled it, and performed a factory reset on the Connect. The Sonos app finds the system and prompts me to press the pause button. After doing so, I get an error message stating that it cannot connect to “”. I tried changing the WiFi name and connecting to a different network, but no wired or WiFi networks are detected.I suspect the Connect's WiFi is still disabled, and the installation process cannot reactivate it. I'm now stuck and unable to complete the setup. Please assist with resolving this issue or provide guidance on re-enabling WiFi to complete the setup process.Thank you.
Hi, Since the ill-fated app update we have lost the ability to alter the Amp's speaker balance. An astounding omission for a supposedly high-end audio product.I used this every day as my dining table is close to one speaker so I would adjust the balance then set it back when listening from the sofa. What is the timeline for restoring this basic feature? I can't see it on the trillo board.
I currently have 4 Sonos (2 pairs) 8inch in-ceiling speakers connected to my AMP. I purchased another pair of 8 inch sonance (Not Sonos/ sonance only) speakers. Will the amp be able to handle this?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to decide placement of the Sonos by Sonance Architectural speakers for my patio. Since I'm an audio novice, trying to see if anyone could offer advice for speaker placement.Attached is the layout of the patio (brown) and yard (light green). The black areas are where the house is located. The numbers are roughly the dimensions (in feet) of the yard. There are three potential speaker locations in red, green, and blue circles. What two speaker positions out of the three would work best for coverage of the patio and yard?Thank you!

Good evening,I am having a strange issue where I have 16 SONOS Port that do not get a an address from the DHCP Server. The issue occurs if I connect the devices to the ISP modem and also if I connect them to a SonicWall TZ670. However the DHCP assignment process works fine if I connect the Sonos devices to an old TZ300.On the packet capture from the firewall I can see how the DHCP process which is supposed to be Discover-Offer-Request-ACK is being repeated Dicover-Offer and the Sonos devices are ignoring the DHCP Offer and start over. Also many other devices work fine with DHCP on this network. We have done more than 100 installations with Sonos and Sonicwall and this is the first time that we have this issue. All devices are connected with a cable to a Cisco switch which has the recommended STP settings. The DHCP offer is being sent to the broadcast address 255.255.255.255 / ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff. I am mentioning this because there are DHCP servers that are sending unicast Responses and AF
