Trying to connect this sub to a Sonos amp and all I’m getting is a constant hum as for ceilings speakers play music but no audio through sub. Have played with all setting in app to match settings in back of sub but still a hum when I plug in both rca ports. Even tried another sub and still managed to hum so don’t believe it’s the cord or sub issue. I haven’t tried a ground loop yet and will have link below to what cord I am using but am just stuck. Confused as if I’m using the wrong cord or not?

Is the Amp setup as surrounds? If so, see the limitations here:

I’m totally confused, nowhere do I see a 3.5 mm output on the Amp.

I do see an RCA Sub output. That is what you’d normally connect a sub like yours to.

Read the sub manual to see if you really need the RCA-Dual RCA splitter or if a single RCA-RCA will do.

Oh

so it looks like I grabbed the wrong cord from the jump is what you’re saying. I have an rca-rca but thought I needed the cord I ordered since it’s L and R on back of the sub itself. Sounds like I set myself up for failure from the jump, will try rca-rca cord and order a splitter just in case

Found a manual if you don’t have one:

https://support.jbl.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-masterCatalog_Harman/default/dwbdad4f3e/pdfs/NORTHRIDGE%20E150P,NORTHRIDGE%20E250P%5EJBL%5Eom%5E%5E%5E%5E.pdf

And here is the secret setting / connection guide:

So a single RCA cable from the Amp’s sub out to the JBL’s L or R terminals (no splitter) then set the LFE / Normal switch to LFE.

Well you just made my day, thank you so much for your help.

have a merry Christmas!
