Hello,

I moved some furniture in my office and decided I wanted to use TruePlay again. I went in the app and when it went to confirm the speakers it came back as failed. I have 3 different amps with 3 different pairs of Sonos architectural speakers that aren’t working. I’ve had this setup for over 2 years and nothing has changed which leads me to believe it’s software based. Has anyone else noticed their amps not “seeing” the Sonos speakers?

Hi

Yes they are the Sonos Sonance speakers ..  however I realised the update was to the components not the app (I had an app update in the App Store so assumed it was that )…

then noticed in the app the components also had an update and having done that they are now detected …

so all is well now - my stupidity !

thanks

Glad to hear this! Yeah to be clear, there is an app update AND system update inside the app.

Sonos really could make the effort to give us a clear warning about out of date components as it has caused so many grief.

If we knew something was wrong we could try to fix it.

From my understanding they aren’t out of date. It was a bug inside the new app from what I understand. No way to fix without them finding the bug and pushing a fix.
