I’m not at home to check, but I don’t recall that the BOOST, being not a ‘player of music’ shows up as a room. It does show up as a device in your ‘system’ in that area of the controller.
I do use one, almost all of my speakers, save the Roam, connect to it. It is indeed fully integrated in the S2 controller.
Settings for the BOOST (or BRiDGE in S1) are accessed through the ‘network’ area, where you can set the SonosNet channel in use.
Sometimes, when adding a BOOST to a system, you need to reboot (power cycle) a speaker for it to connect, but please remember that not all Sonos devices can connect to a SonosNet signal, as SonosNet is being set aside, as new routers are perfectly capable these days not only to carry enough bandwidth for music, but can connect to enough devices. This wasn’t always the case when the BRIDGE, supplanted by the BOOST was sold. Note that Sonos no longer sells the BOOST, but all Sonos devices can create a SonosNet signal these days, if connected by an Ethernet cable, save the newer Sonos speakers, which can neither create nor connect to SonosNet signals.
If your Sonos speakers are working, then there is no reason to worry about the BOOST.
