I am working on setting up a 4.1 system in our living room. (Using a Samsung Frame so wife didn’t want to use a Soundbar)We have 2 LCRs in wall with an amp (phantom center) and 2 in ceilings for surrounds with a separate amp.Debating on whether to use a 3rd party subwoofer or a Sonos Sub 4 subwoofer with the setup.Any pros/cons to each? Thanks!
I found a pair of Polk TSi100 bookshelf speakers and wonder if these will match my Sonos Connect Amp Gen 2?Specs for TSi100 are: 20 watts to 100 watts per channel, 8 ohms, 53 Hz to 25,000 HzSpecs for the amp are: 2 x 55W 8 ohms, 22 Hz - 20,000 HzAt a glance I thought these speakers is a close match but I do not have experience in these stuff. Also these speakers have been rated well. Can anyone help please?
My current music playing system consists of a two Sonos Play 5 speakers paired as Stereo and a Sonos SUB. I control them from my iMac using the latest OS and it has a 4GB SSD attached to it where my music files are played.About 90%+ I play music from my files. I have Qobuz but only use that to investigate new music or other music that I might wish to add to my library. Is there a reason I should consider a networked streamer? What benefits, if any might I realized over my current method of doing things?Thank...
I have a few sonos 5 and sonos 1 and a bridge. I use the bridge to connect to an amplifier to play through standalone speakers but this bit isnt working. Music plays through all the other speakers but not the amp. How can i find out where the problem is
Tengo un connect amp, después que lo configuro, queda parpadeando la Luz blanco/naranja
I am trying to set up new amp to existing system and when I get to the prompt to push the “press the button on the sonos amp with the flashing light” and it shows picture of join button on rear of amp.I push this button and nothing happens. Is there a solution for this? I have a surround sound system in my home with 2 amps howeber the app doesnt let me re set the amos and it only connects ti 1 of the 2 amps but doesnt tell me which one
Sonos fails to find devices , or let me setup a new network after I changed Internet suppliers and therefore router. This after the sonos app not finding my music for 6 months is very frustratingI have searched a bit on google for a solution, but so far no help. My phone app aks me to add a speaker or component, but then says wifi isnt connected, connect to a wifi, . There is no way to get to settings to try there. If I go to help centre it does give me an update network button, but when I try that it tries to do one device at a time, but cant find any devices, probably because it is looking on the old network. I have tried switching 3 of my 4 speakers off, connecting one via ethernet to the new router and then resetting this one, but it has made no difference. Why is there not an option to just update your network regardless of your speakers. I am stuck in a loop I cant get out off, which presumably renders my speakers as binnable. If there is no simple solution anyone on here Know o
I have a updated port that has a reduced line output. My amp GUI tracks this and I'm down 12db. Has anyone else seen this? This port runs a good size outdoor sound system. So, it's a struggle getting enough source.
how to setup a tv with 4.1 speaker system with no center channel speaker?
I have a question about the Sonos amp. I have the Sonance Mag 6.1 outdoor speaker system. My question is the volume has to be turned up quite high, like to 60 plus or higher. Is this normal or do I have a problem. I use the Sonos app through Android. Thank you
I have a legacy Sonos S1 system with 5 Connect:90s, 2 Play:1s, a Play3, and a Sonos S1 Playbar. (I bought the last at a clearance site.) My original Sonos Bridge has gone out - power supply I’m sure. Neither ethernet port lights up, and it’s not my Orbi router or the cable (both check out by connecting a computer). The Playbar is in the same room as the bridge. Can I get the entire S1 system working by connecting the Playbar directly? I will experiment tomorrow when the person who sleeps in the room is awake. I also have a Boost but I think I need it for coverage (it’s a 3-story house on a hill). If I can’t use the Playbar, can I use one of the Play1s?
I have a sonos connect that I have used for several years through a reciever. I have it connected to one of the audio inputs. Strangely it stopped playing. I tried a reset several times by unplugging and that did nothing. I tried a harder reset of the device and than re-added it to my system. Great. It worked. But only for about an hour. Then no sound again. It sits right next to my wifi router. So it gets plenty of signal. Because it played after the reset, I know it's not the cables. Any suggestions?
I’m building a new house and wife doesn’t want a soundbar near the frame tv. (She wants a clean mantle for decorations..etc. Would 6 In-Ceiling 8” Speakers by Sonos and Sonance wired to a SONOS AMP (inside built-in near TV) work? I figured the TV’s eARC HDMI to AMP and phantom center with Trueplay would make the set up work. I would have three speakers as left channel and three as right channel and the AMP set to mono. No need for a crazy set up since we have a media room. Living room would be for casual TV watching and sports. Thanks in advance!
Same exact problem here with my Sonos sound bar. Sound shutters on optical input regardless of swapping cables in and out. Also switched TV and still the problem persists. This is a problem with the Sonos sound bar optical in, but it seems as though they don’t know or want to fix the problem.
Hello - due to changes in space requirements in our (very small) living room, (and the arrival of kids and all their related paraphernalia!) I have had to replace my floor standing speakers with smaller wall-mounted satellites (Cambridge Audio Min Minx 22) and a discrete subwoofer. The Min Minx 22 have a lower frequency response of 120Hz so require a sub to fill in for anything below that. I have purchased a sub which will do the job from ~38Hz to ~160Hz, ample for my needs. However; when setting this all up I discovered that the Sonos Amp crossover settings will only allow a cutoff of 100Hz or less, a good ~40Hz or so below where I would ideally like to set the crossover point.Presumably this is a software limitation, so I was wondering if others are facing this issue and whether Sonos might be able to update firmware to allow a higher cutoff frequency for the sub output?I see other similar products on the market which offer much more range in the crossover settings but would really lik
Hi, I've been searching the internet the last couple days and haven't found a great answer to my issue. I currently have several Sonos speakers throughout my house, as well as an outdoor system that is running 3rd party speakers (Klipsch) through two Sonos amps (Connect and ZP100, via the Sonos 1 app). The Connect sits inside my house and is wired to 2 Klipsch speakers on the house wall. The ZP100 sits about 60 feet behind the house in the pool equipment shed (concrete block), and is connected to 2 KIipsch speakers along the backyard wall. I have it in a waterproof box to protect it. The ZP100 is plugged in to the pool shed power. I realize this is VERY old technology but I had a limited budget! The issue I am having is that the wifi signal in the pool shed is weak, so the ZP100/back wall speakers cut out intermittently. I am trying to figure out the best way to boost that signal. I can't really run an ethernet cable out there without tearing up some hardscape, so that solution is not i
This issue has re-appeared after being resolved for quite some time. That is, it was bad, then it got better for many months, and now it is back. Perhaps something in the new updates?
Anybody else have the problem where the Connect stops playing for a few seconds and then comes back - plays for som minutes and then stops again etc. What to do about that - is there a solution?
Hi,I’ve got a Connect:AMP that powers on but will only output audio for a few minutes before the audio cuts out and goes into fault (orange white flash) mode.I’ve opened up the AMP and taken a look for any blown fuses or capacitors, none of which I can see.I suspect the issue lies on the logic board itself.Could anyone suggest where I should begin with diagnosing the logic board to resolve this issue?Ive attached some images of the AMP in this post. Thanks
New to Sonos, wondering what this does; selected on Connect:amp
I have had enough with three out of four Sonos Connects that stopped working. Time to Wiim. Sonos is garbage!!!!
Volume shuts off after playing for a few minutes. I have one pair of outdoor Sonos speaker powered off one amp.
Update 03/31/25This issue has been resolved for iOS with update 80.18.25😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊Part OneYou can continue reading for the complete story or skip to Part Four for latest news. In Part Three you’ll find news from Sonos Tech Support (STS) with a suggested work-a-round with promise of a final resolution to come later. As the title indicates you may find that the balance slider is not working on your Sonos Amp under certain configurations. Meaning that there’s no change in audio position. The slider still appears as white (active) and not greyed out (inactive).I have two Sonos Amps used as music devices only; both setup with Sonos subs and 3rd party speakers. Had a conversation with Sonos Tech Support (STS) who helped...kinda’.STS ran a diagnostic on both Amps and said it showed they were set as Home Theaters🤔 That was very odd as they have never been setup as such; nor was TV Autoplay engaged. In fact a HDMI cable had never come within two inches (or less) of the HDMI port on the Am
I have an old system that has been working fine until recently. The system comprises a Play:1, a Play:3 and a Connect, connected to a HiFi.I have a music library on a Synology NAS.The Connect is hard wired (ethernet), while the Play:1 and Play:3 connect wirelessly.I can play from my library to the Play:1 and Play:3 without a problems. Radio also works just fine. The Connect however will not play from the library. It gives the error: Unable to play “song file name”, access to “server share” is denied. The same song will play on the Play devices just fine, so I don’t think there is a Synology rights issue. However, the Connect will happily play Radio streams, which also suggests that the Connect is working fine.Any idea what the problem with the Connect and library might be?Many Thanks,Neil Attard
