I have a few sonos 5 and sonos 1 and a bridge. I use the bridge to connect to an amplifier to play through standalone speakers but this bit isnt working. Music plays through all the other speakers but not the amp. How can i find out where the problem is

That’s not a Bridge.  The Bridge has no audio outputs.  Probably a Connect or a Port.

First thing to do is check the connections.  Make sure they didn’t loosen or get pulled out.  If they check out, I would try playing to the unit, then submit a diagnostic and contact Sonos with the reference #.  They can tell you if there is something wrong with the unit.

Just for the record, there is neither a 5 or a 1. You’ll confuse many by using those terms. Sonos gas made the PLAY:5 (two generations), the PLAY:1 (one generation), the Sonos Five and the Sonos One, all except the Sonos Five now no longer produced, but still supported.

When calling in to Sonos support, as suggested by @jgatie , make sure you provide the correct data to the person you speak with, to ensure they understand your system properly.
