Hi all,I have bought a Sonos Amp which will be connected a total of 6 Sonos in-ceiling speakers: 4 x 8” in the living room, 1 x 6.5” in the kitchen and 1 x 6.5” in the bathroom (all playing in mono obviously).I need to be able to select (= switch on/of) 3 zones: living room, kitchen and bathroom. Since Sonos does not support zones, I am thinkng of using the Taga Harmony TS-4 (see here) as a speaker selector. What worries me, since I am not very knowledgeable in the subject, is if there will be any issues regarding currents & impedance that could destroy the Sonos Amp, speaker or even the Taga Harmony! Could you please advise me regarding this issue?Thank you!
I intend to connect my current 3rd party amplifier and two passive speakers to a Sonos Port. If I connect a Sonos subwoofer to the Port and place it in the same room with the passive speakers will there be a latency/delay issue between the wired and wireless speakers?
As my patience for sonos is running thin and this latest issue has me in a melt down. Looking for some feedback/therapy lol. SonosNet will stay as my primary connection as I still believe it to be for less problematic then random wifi and Sonos’s new tech support stance of blaming our routers and not helping. after the last update my boost is hardwired and shows as connected but no speakers are connected. If I hardwire any one speaker they all show up. I tried resetting the boost and adding it again and though it shows up on the device list, as soon as I unplug the Ethernet from the speaker the devices all vanish except for then boost. In the years of circumventing issues I’ve never seen this one. Sonos advice was I need to reset my entire system. I started with easy to access speakers but they will not add to the boost based system. Any thoughts?
2 amps show on the app w the sound slider grayes out and no sound coming out. How do I fix this ?
Hi everyone, and apologies in advance for my stupidity, but getting very confused…We have just bought a new house which has ceiling speakers installed in the kitchen. The previous owner of the house advised that you needed an amp in order to play them. Thinking I was being smart, I took a photo of the amp (Sonos Connect:Amp Gen 2) that the previous owner had, and bought one thinking that would do the trick! However, I am mystified on how to connect it. The speakers have loose wires that go into the cupboard that the amp is housed in, but there is no way that I can see to connect to the amp. I read on the Sonos site that they should connect using banana plugs so I ordered some off the Sonos website but they are too big for the holes at the back. What am I doing wrong and how do I connect my speakers and play music?!? Grateful for any advice any of you can offer!
I have a Sonos Connect Amp that had the PMW and two MOSFETs short. Replaced them and is well except the four TVS on outputs are blown open. What are the part numbers for the TVS16001 -16004 on located on bottom side by output terminals. I see AF 41 GFX and I can’t find any thing. Thanks for your help in advance,John
The volume keeps turning down, and my amp keeps flashing, red and white lights
So I have a Sonos amp (Fully updated) and I’m trying to connect my Forza 10 inch outdoor sub using Nobsound G2 PRO TPA3255 Hi-Fi 300W sub amplifier. The subwoofer wires are connected to the red and black audio out. I then used a single RCA to RCA and connected that to sub out on the Nobsound and plugged it directly into the Sonos amp labeled Sub I still have no sound. The only way to get the sub to power up is to splice the wires to my sonance left speaker or sonance right speaker. I know there was a thread on this before but I can’t continue that conversation. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
CD player is connected to Sonos Controller Line In, but the app says no device is connected. I tried rebooting, and updating, but no luck. I’ve used this for years, but yesterday it it stopped. How can I get Sonos to discover my device?
Buenas noches.
I moved to a new house which has 2 ceiling speakers with speaker wires already available. I have the Sonos connect s2 with only one set of RCA audio out connection. Two questionsHow to I connect the speaker wires(red black for one speaker and white green for another) to the RCA out on Sonos connect? Should I buy the RCA to speaker wire adapter on Amazon? Can I connect bothe speakers to the same s2? Will it have enough power to support 2 speakers? Connect both positives and negatives and plut into the same RCA?
Can any one advise me on how to connect a Bose Acoustimass 20 Sub woofer to my new Sonos Amp - I need to know how the cabling works as the Bose has a customised "Bose" only jack that connects only to a Base amp?
I need detailed guidance how to connect Sonos Port to Beoplay A9 4th gen so that it can play along in sync with the Sonos system of speakers I have (Era 300, Arc). So far I was able to connect the Port to the Sonos system and connected the Port to the B&O A9 using an RCA to 3.5 mm cable (A9 has only 3.5 mm in). No sound whatsoever coming out of A9. I used the line out ports of the Port to plug the RCA. I am doing something wrong apparently as for now only the Sonos speakers are playing the online radio stations, not the A9. Guidance needed
I installed a new network for my Sonos system. All components are now on the new network, except for the Amp. In order to reinstall the A mp, Sonos asks for an 8 digit PIN from the AMP. My Amp doesn’t have an 8 digit PIN and Sonos support is worthless tp help. They keep telling me to enter the PIN, which I don’t have. Apparently when I bought my Amp it didn’t have a PIN, but now they do. What can I do? Without it, my external speakers don’t work any more.
Hi Sonos friends, I’m new here in this forum and have a question to you. I just bought an Arc Ultra and now I wonder what is the best way to enjoy my Tidal lossless music on it: 1. Using the Tidal service within the Sonos app (either on iPhone or on Android, I have both) and stream Tidal through the Sonos app to the Arc Ultra or 2., using the Tidal mobile app (either on iPhone or on Android) and stream lossless music via Bluetooth to the Arc Ultra? What type of connection support Dolby Atmos, if at all? Are there other or better ways to connect? My current installation in the room concerned: TV connected to Sonos Arc Ultra by Arc-HDMI (TV is too old for e-Arc), plus one Sonos Sub and a very fast Wifi / LAN), iPhone, iPad and Android phone with most recent OS and most recent flagship hardware, all have Tidal and Sonos apps installed. My TV has neither Tidal nor Sonos app installed. My goal: I want to have best TV sound and best music sound from Tidal streaming services, I’m also conside
Over several months the connection between my Sonos Connect and Roam and mobile phone has been dropping. The connection would reasonably quickly resume with the various apps that had disappeared from my mobile refound. Over time the loss of connectivity got worse with the Connect cutting out completely and showing an intermittent red flashing light. I did a complete factory reset of everything with Sonos support over an hour. This seemed to resolve the problem over a couple of days, but lo and behold it dropped the connection again and the red flashing light resumed. I have done another factory reset and got it all playing again for 5 mins before it cut out again. Am now getting very frustrated. Any thoughts please?
Hello - I need to setup a sub outdoors…. No options from Sonos… My issue question is connecting the Sonos Sub Out (RCA) to the Sub’s amp. When looking for an amp, they ALL seem to have an input for Left and Right RCA. How do I connect the single Sonos Amp RCA output to Left and Right RCA inputs? Splitter? Connect to one of the two inputs? Thanks!
Hi,I’m planning an audio setup for my living, dining & kitchen open space, which you can see on the plan and the 3D sketch above, with the measurements.I was thinking to install Sonos architectural speakers: - 2 pairs of Sonos In-Ceiling 8” for the living and dining area (vaulted ceiling) and - a pair of Sonos In-Ceiling 6” for the kitchen area (flat ceiling). Each speaker will have a dedicated ceiling-box it will be installed in and all 6 of them will be connected directly to a single AMP with a Helusound 400 2x2.5mm2 cables. I read in Sonos guidance that the Trueplay won’t be possible if there is a mixture of speakers connected to the same AMP, which I’m planning to use here. I’m considering changing a pair of 6” to 8” but it may be an overkill for such a small area.Speakers in these areas will be used for music only. Having a separate TV room for Home Theater setup. Here are my queries, hope you will be able to help me or point me to the right direction on:Would 2 pairs of 8” be
Hi everyone,I'm struggling with a strange issue with my Sonos Connect (Gen 1, S1 app), and I’m hoping someone here might have insights. I’ve tried everything I can think of, but I still get no sound output. Here’s what’s happening:Setup:Sonos Connect (90, Gen 1) running on Sonos S1 Connected via RCA output to a NAD amplifier Tried multiple cables and different input ports on the amp Amp works fine with other sources (e.g., CD player, phone via AUX) Also tested with a second Sonos Connect – same issueWhat I’ve Tried:Checked all volume settings – Set output to Variable, increased volume in the app Tested different outputs – Tried both RCA (analog) and digital (optical/coaxial) Tried a different amplifier – No sound through a second amp either Tested Line-In on Connect – It detects the input but still doesn’t output sound Grouped Connect with other Sonos devices – Other devices play audio, but Connect does not Restarted and power-cycled everything – No change Factory reset both Sonos Conn
I moved into a new build house with built in ceiling speakers in the kitchen and living room. I’ve purchased the Sonos Amp to run the ceiling speakers. I’ve also purchased an Era 100 for the kitchen and one for the living room so that I can replace the Alexa Dot. In addition, I have an Era 300 in my bedroom. Question 1: What is the best way to set up each room as they will have the Sonos Amp to run the ceiling speakers and an Era 100 to enable the Alexa Voice ability? Can the ceiling speakers and Era 100 work together?Question 2: Can all of them play together as a group (ceiling speakers with amp, Era 100’s in kitchen and living room and the Era 300 in my bedroom)?
I have a turntable with preamp connected to Sonos connect line in that is connected to my receiver via line out. Does the Sonos connect convert that signal to digital and back to analog or does it pass through as analog?
Hi everyone! I have an old Sony sound system that I would like to incorporate into my current Sonos set-up and I am not 100% sure of which components I would need, and how to set-up the connections. The Sony has two stereo speakers (impedance 6 Ohm & 70W of power handling capacity each) and an interconnected module CD player + cassette player + EQ. (pictures below)I already own two Sonos Era-100 that have been paired as stereo pair in a room group. As a minimum, I would like to add the Sony speakers to the Sonos Era-100 room group, so that I could use the SVC to control the music and have it play from both the Era-100 and the two Sony.To do this I am pretty sure I need to buy the Sonos Amp (can it hold both speakers?) and connect both speakers there, I will also need some adapters but I am not sure which ones yet.Ideally, I would also like to use the CDs and cassette player as a Line-in option into my Sonos system. For that, which Sony output ports should I use: headphones-out (EQ fr
My sonos connect, since moving to S2 recently, has started to drop from my LAN (only connection, WIFI is disabled). Both ethernet ports have both their green and amber LED light up solidly (not blinking), even for the unused port. I can still see the (correct, fixed) IP address occupied on my router software (Unifi) but the Sonos Connect is otherwise dead, my IOS lists the connect as Not Connected, and I am unable to reconnect through the software. This happens around 15 minutes after I reset the connect (power off factory reset). I have already replaced my ethernet cable and power cable to no avail. What can be the cause and how do I fix this??
Here’s my question - what happened?I have two ZP100 - not cable linked so on their own wireless networkthe bedroom one has a cd player hooked to it - lounge one has a tv hooked to itsound on the bedroom zp100 started blipping every 10 sec or so when playing cdso i thought ok - lets play the cd through to the lounge zp100 - no blipping - hmm so it’s not the cd playerplay tv from lounge zp100 to bedroom - blipping sound - ok so my zp100 is stuffed…..did a reset of the bedroom zp100 and the new lightbulb over my desk started flashing at the same timeyeh - turn the light off - turn it on - still flashing as zp100 was resettingtake bulb out - bedroom zp100 sounds great - no drop outs on any sourcethe other great sound? my boot on aforementioned lightbulb - sometimes old school IS just better
I have a multi room system which has been playing up since the Sonos app was updated and I am still unable to fix the issue. I emailed the Sonos CEO months ago without a response and have tried hours in the phone to Sonos help without success. I’m pretty frustrated. I have a Sonance amp with six speakers wired into the sockets at the back of the amp. I use these speakers for my TV and music, all controlled through the app. My TV and amp are using the same WiFi. My TV is unable to link to the wired speakers so sound only plays out if my TVrather than through the ceiling speakers. I’ve tried factory reset of the amp which doesn’t help. When trying to link TV to speakers via TV settings, the CEC isn’t working. Anyone know how to fix this?
