Until recently I had 4 functional speakers (kitchen, conservatory and lounge L & R)Now only lounge and kitchen L & ? appear in my system.How do I get all 4 speakers in my system Roger7

I’ve connected my Beam to my Samsung UN55FH6003G using Proster 5x1 HDMI Switch with Audio Extractor.  I was able to hear the sound from the Beam when using both Chromecast and Fire Stick as HDMI inputs with output back to the TV and the optical link to the Beam.  Yesterday, the sound stopped and I had to use the TV’s speakers to hear the programming.  I checked all connections as well as the devices by plugging them into different ports both on the switch and the TV.  When in the TV and sound from the TV, no problem.  When in switch, video to TV, but no sound from Beam.  Retesting today, when casting I saw a message that said something about surround sound and to use my TV controller to adjust sound.  That doesn’t work with the setup I’ve got, as it only controls the volume of the TV speakers.  I’m a bit lost and would appreciate thoughts on the topic. 

So… a year or so ago at least I remember I was having a big delay between the video on my computer and the audio from the line in on my connect …  finally found that sonos had for some reason changed the delay to 2000ms max.  Seems they did it again at some point…  and I’m old and couldn’t remember where the setting was… finally found it, but having tons of inconsistencies on my sonos system which has worked great for years…  I hardwired most of my sonos system… but over the last month or so, my CIsco 2960 PoE switch has started complaining about ports that sonos is plugged into flapping.  I am assuming this is because it is doing both wired and wireless and for some reason sends a packet on wired/wireless and receives on the other - maybe.  Anyway, I’ve gone about turning off wireless on all my hardwired systems.  I have a full on cinema with playbar, sub and two sonos 3s for the rear.  I read a post that you should leave wireless on …. but I really would prefer to NOT have wireless o

Just purchased a new Onkyo TX-NR696 receiver specifically for compatibility with Sonos. Reading the owner’s manual before attempting installation, I came across the following:“Displays the Sonos Connect connected to the same network as the network of this unit. Press the ENTER button to select the connected Sonos Connect.”I assume this is an older instruction that applies to Port installation as well as Connect. My question has to do with “connected to the same network as the network of this unit”.Because of connectivity problems (speakers disconnecting) on an earlier S1 system, I purchased a Boost. I assume Port should be connected to the dedicated Sonos Boost network when I set it up, correct? If so, what about the Onkyo? I assume it will not and will be on the normal home network. If so, does that mean I will need to connect Port to the home network as well for them to work? Or does Port only connect to the home network as I found is true for Sonos Move speakers? And if that is true

I have 2 Play1 speakers, sound bar, and sub set up for surround sound in my Den.  I purchased 2 more Play 1 speakers and added them but it created a Den 2?  I can manually activate both sets for music but it will only play 2 speakers for surround sound.  Is there a way to have them play automatically for both music and TV surround sound?  Appreciate any input!

Want to hook up a turntable to a beam or arc without an amp or port? Totally possible. I plugged the turntable cord (rca white and red) into my tv, my tv to the beam as normal with the hdmi, and changed the input to the rca signal and the record player works! I had to turn off the auto shut off for the tv so i could play records for a long time without it shutting down since there is no video signal. I don’t mind the tv on while I play records. I would mind spending $500 or $650 to hook up through an amp or port! This is free and works great. 

Would it be possible to allow configuring a Sonos Sub by itself as a “room”?.  This would solve for a couple of use cases:Those with Sonos Moves could group the Moves and standalone Sub when in close proximity. Example Office Move Pair + Office Sub. Those with the desire to have more than one Sub in room could group with an existing room that already has a Sub. Example: Living Room (+Sub) + Living Room Sub

Is there a way to have different sound profiles set up for a group of speakers within the same room. For example, when sitting on the sofa watching tv in surround sound mode the speakers should be set up differently than when listening to music. Is there a way to switch from one sound profile to another easily?

My Sonos arc only works with my Sonos amp (rear speakers) when the arc is connected to my network via Ethernet.  Does this sound correct? When I unplug the Ethernet cable from the Arc the rear speakers powered by the Sonos amp no longer play.  

I am not very familiar with Sonos and I have a technical question about how speakers can be grouped.I’m wondering if it is possible to have different components part of multiple groups, and how that would or wouldn’t work with Airplay 2.Essentially I am designing a system for a room with a TV, and I wanted it to be possible to have the system set up as EITHER a 2.1 or a 5.1 (which includes the 2.1).So say I have the following components:(1) Arc (2) Five (2) One SL (1) SubIs it possible to have:Group 1: (2) Five + (1) Sub Group 2: Group 1 + (1) Arc + (2) One SLIdeally, I would like to have two groups both in Sonos and available to Airplay as “Stereo” and “TV”.

I have two play 1 speakers, first gen. I recently installed a boost to my system as one was continuously dropping out. I have connect one with an ethernet directly to the boost in the hope it will sure things up even more and they’re in a stereo pair but one refuses to move onto the boost network and is still showing WM:1 instead of VM:0 like the boost and the speaker wired to it. Has anyone got any suggestions?

I am going to install 6 sonos sonance speakers with the new sonos amp, however due to the long wire run I will be using 12 gauge speaker wire. There is no way I can fit 3 sets of 12 gauge speaker wires into the sonos amp terminals, do you have a good way to do this? I have an old but very reliable Pionner SX-750 receiver. I recently purchased a PORT hoping to listen to my vinyl LP’s etc on my Sonos speakers but have had no luck. My receiver does not have a digital out. It has a phono in, aux in, two separate tape Rec/Play. I can’t seem to find a way to send the phono in to the in of the PORT. Does anyone have any ideas or should I send the unit back? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance  

How do I connect my new Sonos five to my living room setup when I already have a play base, 2 play 1’s and a sub?

Having difficulty getting my Beam sound bar to be the primary sound source. Using a Caavo control center to manage applications, Apple tv as the primary “vehicle” for apps/TV etc. My question is what is the correct path for connecting my Beam. Connect to the HDMI on the TV or connect through the Caavo control center? 

I have two connects, one Gen2, in the same room. One is connected to a turntable and sound system. The other is connected to a Ruark system as speakers. Is there a way of linking them together in a similar way as a stereo pair?

Does the Sonos beam count as a “hub” so i can connect it to my tv etc? 

I’m looking for some advice. I’ve just bought an LG CX 65inch, and am looking into soundbars. Given the slanted ceiling and open plan (to one side of the TV), I’m wondering whether Atmos would work with the Arc, or whether I should be looking for a multi-speaker setup instead. The TV will soon be mounted, but the soundbar (if we go that way) would sit on a new tv stand.Appreciate any help!  

Dear Sonos,As of now I know there are only the below grouping possible with the Sonos Arc and play 5s:In total you can either have any of the following set up:(Sonos Arc+ Sub) , (Play 5), and (Play 5). (Sonos Arc+ Sub) and (stereo paired PLay 5s) (Sonos Arc +Sub+ Play 5 (RS) + Play 5 (LS)Is it possible you will add options to create mutiple groups with the Sonos Arc so you can setup for the two play 5’s as a seperate group? I’m intersted in purchasing the system but it seems so expensive when some of the features for grouping aren’t possible. From a customer standpoint you are paying so much but the grouping is lacking.From a future customer.Regards

I’m adding the Move to my Sonos collection.  Does the Move have any WiFi range limitations?  I.e. If my phone can connect to my 2.4G WiFi network 400 ft away, can I expect the Move to reliably connect to the same WiFi network?

I have recently upgraded the audio at a clients home with a Sonos solution for this room as cabling is an issue and we want a sub for it. This is a big property with a Control4 system. Network is Pakedge RK1 router, HP switches, and Unifi AP’s.  The network is flat, so dont start thinking its manged. Hii recently connected my first Sonos device (Beam) and am looking to add more throughout the house.I want to add a Sonos One Gen 2 to a part of the house that does not get a wifi signal. From what I gather, Sonos devices can communicate if they are in range with each other.My question is: Can I use voice control if the Sonos speaker is not connected to wifi, but has a link through other Sonos devices to the wifi.Bonus question: My phone will not be connected to the wifi network either in this part of the house. Will I be able to control this Sonos device via bluetooth?  

Hi there - I’ve used Sonos for years, first adopter back in the day of controller and control wheel!i’ve recently moved house to a recently constructed 4 storey town house ( 3 years old) which has a basement cupboard with a rack housing the Cat cabling, switch and the BT fibre modem.  I have a BT Smarthub 2.0 (connected to the WAN and switch).  There are 3 connect Amps in the rack feeding speakers in the kitchen, living room and cinema room (all cabled in ceiling speakers).  I also have a Play1 in a bedroom connected via ethernet to the wall socket which feeds into the switch.  The cinema room has a Playbar and Sub, connecting wirelessly (in the next room in the basement to the rack).  I have had zero problems with the Playbar, Sub or the Play1 since arriving and changing ownership / router.  The 3 Connect Amps have all dropped off the App or i’ve had “can not connect” messages, or they have played (radio or Spotify) for a minute or 5 mins, and then dropped.  The room then also disappe

Hi, I have a number of Sonos Plays, 2 are set as a stereo pair in my kitchen. When playing music independently of other rooms they play fine. If I group them with another room the right hand speaker stops playing, only the left one works. I can pause and restart the music as well as leave and rejoin the group from the button on the right speaker.I have factory reset the right hand speaker, remade the stereo pair set and completed True Play. All works fine until I group the speakers with another room.  This has only just started to occur after working fine for the last 2+ years. I have made no network changes in my property, everything has remained the same.  Ideas for a fix on this issue please.ThanksStuart 

Hi,i want to connect the Sonos ARC to a HDFury Arcana, which is on the other side of the room and passes through Dolby Atmos from an Apple TV 4K. I need a cable of up to 6m (20ft). What type and brand of HDMI Cable is recommended to make sure I don’t experience issues?Thanks.
