What to get

Hello to everybody,I’m interested in adding a turntable in my existing Sonos setup.Currently I have Arc + Sub + 2xOne in my living room.Due to space constrains I will put the turntable in my bedroom in which I don’t have any speaker or stereo system.With this in mind, I’m still a bit confused if I need to go with a port or a sonos 5.Taking into account that, primarely, I want something to stream the vinyl in my living room, I think the port should be the best option, but if I will go with the Five, I will be able to add also a good speaker in the bedroomWhich will be the best solution in your opinion? Please add the reason of your answer.Thanks

Hello there! I recently purchased a 5.1 system that has a Playbar, Sub and 2 Ones as rear surrounds. I like the system overall, especially for watching movies. When it comes to music, I prefer the full mode over ambient, but my rear speakers(the Ones) aren’t as powerful as I would like. I am considering using two Play 5’s as surrounds instead to improve the music listening experience as those two speakers are closest to me in a large open living room space. Has anyone else done something similar and noticed better results?

HiI have an old Connect:Amp that I can get 30% by upgrading to buying new SonosI can not quite figure out if I should send the old Connect:Amp back to Sonos or if I can just throw it out myselfHope someone can help ..?

Not sure if this has been brought up before but looking for a specific answer. I am fairly new to the Sonos system. I only have a Sonos One Gen. 2 but I plan on adding at least one more One, Move, and Maybe a Play 5.Before buying I was reading about the legacy products support and made me think what would the estimated life span be for these speakers especially the One G2. I am hoping for at least 8-10years if ever.I know it’s a long time to think about but a little reassurance before spending over $1000 would be nice.Thanks

I have a Sonos Play bar and 2 x Sonos One speakers.  I am considering buying a Pro-Ject VT-E BT Vertical Turntable.    A friend tells me that the bluetooth feature should work.  Keen to hear of anyone else has got this working before I make the purchase. Thanks Peter+65 9783 8096

Need some help please!We are building a home now and I have my low voltage team working right now to set up speakers.Here’s the rough plan: Deck TV home run into basement and will have 2 outdoor speakers. Will be controlled with Sonos Amp and wall mounted volume controller. I assume I’m ok to use Roku in this setup by plugging the Roku into the Sonos Amp?The living room may or may not be home run into basement. This room will NOT have overhead speakers but the nearby kitchen will have speakers powered by the deck amp as mentioned above.We had planned on using a Sonos ARC for this living room TV, which would allow us to use the TV in living room as source for the ARC AND the speakers on the Deck/Kitchen.Is this understanding correct so far?Finally, we plan to use Roku for this TV in the living room. This means my Roku will plug into my TV, which will plug into my ARC, which will allow me to pair that sound to other Sonos Amp powered speakers. Is this all correct? Need some quick help as

My move speaker works in my living room, but the Sonos SL will not.  I am only 20 feet from the modem and router.

I have 2x play 5s, playbar and the move set up in our L shaped lounge and plan for the sub Anything that would really add to the experience? Wondering about a couple of 1s but would appreciate thoughts.

I am planning on replacing the Sonos motherboard/PS boards on my Play 5’s with a 3rd party Airplay board thereby keeping my play 5’s out of the landfill.  Does anyone know the sizes of these boards?  I am trying to avoid opening mine up if someone already has this info.  If this works out I’ll post replacement board type and photos.  Thanks,  Ian  

I recently bought a Brilliant light switch that has screens built in with Sonos compatability for a easy consistent way to use my Sonos throughout the house.  I currently use the Connect Gen 2’s for my inside and backyard to external amps.  I am looking to add more speakers to my house as well as control every major room seperate.  So to make a long story short, was going to use the Sonos Amp I just bought to run the rear in ceiling speakers I have and use a small energy M8 sub.  Issue is that even if I buy a sonos sound bar and use the AMP for the rear my 3rd party sub will not work.  Any advice?  If I buy the Beam or ARC can I use one of my Connects to my 12 channel amp to work the surround?  and then do a Sonos Sub?  or do I have to get a connect:amp to do this?  

Does anyone have experience using Sonance in-ceiling speakers as front channels via an amp for TV? Will be using a second amp for rear channels, bonded with the front. Additionally, does anyone have experience using Sonance in-ceiling speakers outdoors in a fully covered porch? I know I can use other speakers, but I am thinking that true play could assist with directional output of the front channels.  To give some context, I will primarily be using these for music (full setting), but occasionally would like to setup a projector for movies and sports and was wondering how these speakers will perform. It doesn’t have to be perfect. But I prefer this setup vs Sonance wall or a sound bar.  Ceiling is 9.5 feet, speakers will be positioned in quadrants, 3-4 feet off each corner. Porch is 16 long by 13 wide. 

Which iPhones models to use for True play to get the best results? I'm able to borrow an iPhone XS Max and I would like to now if it's any point to do the calibration with it.Without TruePlay I have some problems with my sub gen 3 (together with arc and ones). The bass plays too loud on some frequencies, which is a big problem!

Hi,I currently have a circa 2016 Panasonic TV receiving HDMI inputs from an Apple TV 4K and PS5. I am using a Sonos Beam, plus 2 x Sonos One SL units for surround connected to the TV via the ARC HDMI port. There is a small, but noticeable audio delay when using a 5.1 audio output from either of my sources. I have done extensive reading on the subject and rather than looking for a fix, I am simply looking for suggestions/recommendations as to 43” TV models that will work via ARC with no delay (perhaps a model with a lip-sync delay feature). Although I have seen suggestions that these issues are rare, I doubt this is the case as I’ve seen reports of the issue with Sony, Samsung, Panasonic and LG sets.cheers,D

hi i am having trouble deciding on the ceiling speaker placement… i did look at a few previous post but they are all slightly different and i would like to make sure. We have an open ish floor plan. and looking to have in-ceiling speakers for 3 zone ambient music.Zone1: lower left part there is living room (16x15), which i was thinking to have 2 pairs of L/R in-ceilling speakers.Zone2: Family room is at the upper right, and i am thinking to have the sonos arc set for watching TV (tv will be on the right side of the wall). Zone3: My main question is for kitchen, which is on the lower right. right now i have 1 pair of L/R speakers, but i wonder if i put a small table between living room and island for dinning, will the L/R be very unbalanced (2L from living room, 1R from kitcken? or i am over thinking here and don’t really need to worry about it because it is ambient music anyway? if this is indeed will be unbalanced and a bad idea…  Is it better if i put 4 on the right side? i also try

My lounge is approx 8m by 14m. we don’t have a TV here, so the playbar etc is elsewhere.it’s not a “party place “ either , but I would like to acheive “punchy” sound that can fill the room. Should I plan for an in-ceiling set ? Apair of  Play fives  ? Alternatively more Play threes or perhaps four or more play 1’s and a sub ?  What are your thoughts ?   

Ignoring the fact that I would be compromising the sound somewhat by covering part of the upward firing speakers…  I’m wondering if it is possible to mount the Arc to my TV stand using the Sanus TV mount and Arc mount?  Currently I have a Beam mounted to my TV stand using the Sanus TV mount and Beam mount and I would like to replicate this if possible.

I have a large square, open area that is a little over 3000 sq. ft.  This area is a weight room that is in need of a sound system.  I have Sonos products in my home gym / house and would like to install at work.  What would be the best setup and speakers to use for this open space?  Thank you

HeyI would like to purchase a set of Sonos ones but I’m not sure if I am wanting them to do to muchi currently have a large open plan space which has 2 echo shows and an Apple TV. I would like a pair of Sonos ones to wirelessly attach to the Apple TV (which I know is possible) but also wirelessly attach to BOTH echo shows so the one pair of speakers outputs all of the audio regardless of where it’s coming from (obviously only one decide will be steaming audio at any one time!)Am I asking to much, or is this possible?Thanks 

Hi!!!We are currently building an outdoor covered porch. I have 4 ceiling speakers that are rated for outdoor use, that I’m planning to power with a Sonos Amp. The Amp will be stored inside the house. The speakers will be evenly distributed in quadrants across a 16x13 porch.I am planning to have a BenQ projector and connect it via HDMI ARC to the Sonos Amp. I am not an audiophile looking for 5.1 surround (we have a good Sonos 5.1 setup inside). The projector is going to be something we bring outside from time to time, and use for movies with the kids, or sports with friends.I was hoping that the 4 ceiling speakers will not sound like complete trash, and would be acceptable to use from time to time for events mentioned above. Seeking a kind soul that can help me answer a question that I have, I have 2 fives with a sub and I am very tempted to buy a beam and take the sub from the fives and create a 3.1 system for movies and use the fives for music only, Question is, is the beam and sub good enough? Will I get enough bass from the beam or need I go full 5.1 ? I'm not looking for a punch in the chest like u can get from the fives with sub, but I really want to hear those low frequencies and maybe some vibrations as well, answers are very much appreciated thank you 

I ordered the Sonos Move on Black Friday and it still says back ordered. It was supposed to arrive by Christmas. Any chance of that still happening? Or can I can an ETA?

I’m hoping someone can give me clarity on how to set up my current system to include Sonos. I had asked Best Buy for guidance but I’m not sure the advice given is accurate.  Note: I’m not very AV Savy so hopefully I’m clear enough. My current TV/surround system is a Pioneer VSX-90 which controls main zone: 5 Bose speakers in surround sound and zone 2: 2 more in wall speakers on a screen porch.  I would like to extend that system to stream music to all those speakers plus add more standalone wireless speakers that can be played together as a group or separately.    Best Buy suggested a Sonos Amp and Sonos Move. So I bought both. The Sonos amp does not connect to the pioneer. My guess is it could replace the pioneer receiver but I don’t want to do that. I have Set up the Move but It is basically a stand alone Sonos speaker.   my question is can the Sonos amp be installed so that it can highjack the pioneer speakers if I want to stream music to multiple zones as a group a even a small
