I’m having 4 sonos sonance ceiling speakers installed in my living on the Sonos amp and gen 3 sub? Can I also add an arc and they all play together? I assume so. Thanks 

My backyard garage is 75% dedicated to my gym, 25% to chillin, tv and music for the backyard.  400sqft. 50” samsung tv and currently using a Bose solo 5 for the tv and sound touch 20 for music. Not bad but want more. I want a fuller Basier sound that fully integrates for both movies, and music, and Alexa. What should I do? Willing to spend up to 2K

How does TV dialogue work with ceiling speakers acting as surround? Hello,we are looking to install a Sonos Arc in our living room, which has an open floor plan that includes  the kitchen and dining area. When in the kitchen watching TV, it would be nice to hear what’s on (you can still see the TV from the kitchen) without blasting the volume from basically across the house. We’d like to install two Sonos ceiling speakers in the kitchen and have a Sonos Amp powering them.  Ideally, the amp would be in the attic above the kitchen, powering the ceiling speakers and connect wirelessly to the Sonos Arc which is connected to the TV in the living room. But it’s my understanding the Amp would just play the surround speakers fed by the Arc. If we’re wanting to hear what’s happening on the TV (i.e. dialogue), would that work? Or would we just be hearing “rear speaker” surround sounds like a train approaching? If so, what would be a solution to hear the same front speaker dialogue from the TV in

Hi so I am wanting to set up smart speakers throughout the house for music and additionally add a turntable to the system. I would also like to get a sound bar for the tv. I would like to know if this concept will work. I was looking to get the beam and turntable set. I would set the beam to the tv and put the turntable in one room. I would use the five speaker (that comes with turntable set) in another room. Will the sound bar be able to connect to the turntable? Will I be able to play records to both rooms? Will the tv be able to play in both rooms? Thanks 

We just bought a house.  We have an arc, move and multiple ones through the house that work great with the sonos app (I use apple music through the app to play music).  We have an outdoor area that has mulitple speakers that came with the house and a receiver that’s super old (no blue tooth, etc).  We can turn on the reciever and play radio stations through the outdoor speakers, they work! :-)  If we want to leverage the existing outdoor speakers - can we buy a sonos reciever - Port or Amp? and use that to connect the non-sonos speakers?  The receiver today is outdoors under a tiki roof -- not protected super well from elements. if we spend the money for the port or amp - will it allow to control/coordiante all speakers/sound?  Is there a cheaper option to accomplish full connection with a unit that is less expensive since it will be outside? Thanks!!!!

Hi,I’m new to the Sonos game and have a question about the Sonos AMP.I currently have:pair of Sonos Ones TV with an HDMI-ARC port Turntable connected to a kenwood amplifier with line out pair of 8ohm passive speakersWhat I would like to do is use a Sonos AMP to:connect TV to HDMI-ARC port connect passive 8ohm speakers to sonos amp to be used as FRONT surround speakers use pair of sonos ones to be REAR surround speakers connect line out from turntable to line in on sonos amp maybe add a 3rd party powered sub to the sonos amp later still be able to use airplay 2 to send music to the sonos systemDo you have confirmation that this configuration will work? Can it all stay in surround mode (with the sonos amp as the FRONT speakers and sonos ones as the rear surround speakers)? I finish builded beam gen2 + sub gen3+ pair of One SL system before this Chrismas for my home theater. This system works great and i really love it.  I really love listen music with this system, and it makes me want to sing. I expect that my own voice comes out from sonos sound system. to enchance this home theater system to a karaoke system too.I made my research and there are some difficults,first of all, Most of smart TVs Can install Karaoke apps and bluetooth connection,but Microphone can not be just connect and use. second, sonos system need HDMI eARC for dolby atmos, ,and most TV can not output 2 audio at same time, and Beam and Arc dont have extra port for connection.Third, most of the mixer on the market dont have HDMI eARC pass through or the whole setup become a nightmare of cables.I hope sonos can make a mixer with dolby atmos pass through to enchance the connection of sonos system plus a pair of karaoke microphone. with its nice design and wifi system intergrated.Maybe this

Building a new house and need recommendation on how to set up and wire the house:  Requirements:  Have four zones Kitchen Living Room Patio Den / Bonus Room Using Siri and Apple devices (iPhone, HomePod voice commands, etc) to play music in select zones “Hey Siri, play 90s Alternative in Living Room” “in all rooms”   Control the volume of the music from Siri and Apple devices for the zones.  The Living Room will have a TV with Apple TV.  Need an option to play audio from Living Room TV to the Zones (at least to living room zone)  The Den zone will also have a TV for movie watching. Hi everyone, hope I’m posting in the right place.I have a Beam in my living room, I use it as a regular playbar for TV, shows, movies and so on, but also for listening to the music.In this latter task, it’s not bad for its size and features, but it is not satisfactory for me, especially in the bass realm.I know the simplest thing woud be to add a Sub, but I’m not that enthusiastic. The room is not very big, I care about my relationship with neighbours and… well, it does cost a lot. I can’t but think “Is it worth it?” (please note: for me… personal thoughts and tastes!) So I visited the shop where I purchased the Beam, and the owner kindly allowed me to make some tests:Single Sonos One Beam Couple Ones Beam + Couple Ones Options #2, #3, #4 with Sub Play 5My original idea was to get 2x Ones (SL) and group them with the Beam, hoping they would provide more depth and improve the situation. HelloI want to buy a record player for my partner to connect with his sonos one speaker and soundbar. I am looking to buy the Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable. Do I need to purchase just the sonos port or do I need an amp as well to connect the record player to the speakers.I was going to buy the Pro ject T1 sonos edition turntable which I believe you only need a sonos port for it to work, however they have sold out. So now a little confused as to what I need exactly for the turntable non sonos editition.Thankyou for any advice..

Hey folks, is there a tried and tested way to transmit a bluetooth turntable to the ikea sonos lamp speaker (symfonisk), i think it might be possible to pair the turntable to other sonos products (im not clear on which ones) and then pair the speakers as wifi? But i dont want to try an expensive/time consuming experiment to find out.  Any one know?Cheers , folks

I have 4 overhead 3rd party speakers connected to a new Sonos amp. I would like to add some bass and want to know if I can pair the Sonos sub to the amp? Or would you recommend the arc? This is for a family room so I’m not looking for a ton of bass.

I currently do not own any sono’s products, but am looking to invest in some. Here is my situation/set up. I just got a new Rega Planar 1 Plus turntable (with built in phono stage), and want to get some speakers for it.I have a fire place with book shelves on both sides. My turntable is on the right side, and I would like to get a set of speakers so I have one speaker on the left side of the fireplace and one on the right side of the fire place - so...I need 2 speakers that do not have to physically connect to one another. Both speakers can be physically plugged into the wall no problem (I have an outlet on both sides of the fireplace) but I need speakers that will sync/”talk to each other” without being physically connected. Does Sonos have any speaker sets like this? My turntable is not bluetooth enabled, so one of the speakers would have to connect directly to my turntable, and then “talk to” the other speaker not connected to the turntable. Is this possible with Sonos as well?  

What does NFPA state regarding fire protection for in-ceiling speakers. Is there any mention of a fire hood or similar means in the regulation?

i have purchased the Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable Five and want to listen to the vinyl via headphones as well.Any suggestions what amp/splitter i would need to achieve this?Any advise greatly appreciated.Thank you. 

Hello,I’ve had a Sonos System since 2015.  I have the Playbar, 2 x Play 3’s and a Bridge.  I am unable to connect to my TV even through the optical cable so I am about to upgrade (taking advantage of the current upgrade discounts), but am unclear whether I will need to replace the Bridge with a Boost.  I have an up-to-date Netgear/Orbi home WiFi network which works very well.  I’m guessing I can connect to this instead of needing to use a Boost????  I will be upgrading to an ARC and 2 x ONE SL’s (or maybe 2 x ONE’s).  I have an LG TV with Dolby Atmos which is only 3-4 years old.  Can anyone tell me if the ARC and ONE / ONE SLs will all play TV and produce a surround sound style experience?  (My old system never really worked well with the TV as there was slight lag on the sound which could not be completely cured with the TV adjustments). Can I then move the ONE/ONE SL speakers around to play music in other areas of the house as an when needed?  Is the only difference between the ONE a

Hello all! I have a beam and two Sonos ones set up for our audio in our living room. They are connected to our smart tv and we play music from our phones over the Sonos app no problem.  I purchased an audio Technica turnable (with built in preamp) for my husband for Christmas. I want to get it playing over our Sonos speakers. I think I need either the port or the amp to do this but I am confused by the descriptions. It looks to me like the amp is more expensive because it can power external speaker, but I want it to play on my existing Sonos set up.  I don't see it clearly written (in my opinion) that if I use the port and the line in connection that the port can connect to my beam and surrounds wirelessly? Is that what it does? I'm hoping to come up with a plug and play solution here. If I get the port, plug it in, connect it to my Sonos app, and stick the line connection to my turntable, will it play my records over my beam through the Sonos wireless ecosystem? Or I need to somehow p

Hoping someone can give me a definitive answer. Is buying a Sonos Roam going to be the absolute cheapest way to get my new Bluetooth turntable playing music on my S2 system of two One SLs and a Beam? Is there no competition? Nothing that turns the turntable into AirPlay compatible? Seems completely crazy that it costs so much and that turntables don’t offer Wifi music through an App unless I’m missing something. I really don’t need a 4th speaker. 

Hej, merry xmas!As all topics with the same question are closed i’ll go on and start a new one. writing this from Europe (Sweden), and on Sonos Sweden they are currently selling a refurbished gen 2 Sub for around 600€.  2 questions that are left unanswered1: the difference between gen 2 and 3 are only internal components like RAM? No difference in sound?2: with a refurbished product you don’t have to be afraid in terms of quality? Pretty big price difference between a new gen 3 which goes for 800€,. Should you invest in the gen 2 refurbished, which you can upgrade in the future with a gen 3 if you want, or go for the gen 3 instead? 

Hey new to the Sonos and love them!! Quick question tho, have one sl 2 of em currently connected to arc and sub!! What else can I add to it for surround sound ? Does in ceiling speakers work with it ? Does a regular one work ? Or 5 or any of them ? trying to do awesome surround sound and have huge living room. Hi folks,I have a bluetooth turntable that I connect to my Sonos 1 through the Sonos Roam. There are occasional glitches/skips but it works well so far!I am looking at making a bigger purchase of a Sonos 5 AND the Sub to make my turntable sound even more incredible.Is the Roam still enough or the best way to keep this connection from the bluetooth turntable to my potential 5 and Sub?  These are big purchases and want to get it right! I’ve got a Sonos Beam 5.1 setup (Beam, Sub, 2x Play: 1) and I used to be very satisfied with it.  However, I recently moved to an apartment with a slightly larger living room, one that puts me a bit further from the TV (about 12’ from the TV vs 8.5’ in the old setup).  On paper it doesn’t seem like it should be a big differnece, but it has really impacted my subjective experience.  In the old place when I was closer to the TV and soundbar, it felt like the Beam provided a decent amount of separation. Now it feels like all the sound is coming directly from the TV on the center channel, without much in the way of L/R.  This has me considering upgrading to the Sonos Arc.  Has anyone made this upgrade?  Would it provide a better experience for me?  I’ve got the Sub, so I’m not looking for more low end; mainly more separation.  Will going from the Beam to the Arc help in that regard?
