In the serial number printed on the unit, the first 4 digits are YYMM of manufacture. Your unit would be manufactured in 06/2016, and anything after 03/2015 is Gen 2. You can also go here:

If the unit has an upgrade of 30%, it is Gen 1. 15% means Gen 2.
