What to get

Hello all! I have a Bose and some JBL speakers that I would like to include in my new Sonos set up I am ordering.    Is that possible?   Thank you!

HelloI am an owner of the old gen Play 3 and Play 5 speakers and thinking about upgrading to a home entertainment system with surround sound in my new home.Wondering what the best configuration would be for a relatively small room? Livingroom is basic rectangle shape with patio doors, dimension 5.7x3.7m approx.In the process of getting a media unit built above a fireplace so TV and sound bar would be mounted (similar to attached picture - note this is not my livingroom!). Have space for a 60-65” TV.Would my room be big enough for the complete Arc, sub woofer and 2x Sonos 1s? Or is this overkill?Also - would the Arc sound quality be compromised by mounting it as shown in the pic? Sounds like positioning is a key factor in sound quality.Apologies for the basic questions - relatively new to TV sound systems and want to optimize it as best I can  

I’m looking for a new set up in my living room. It’s quite large at around 7.5m x 4.5m  I already own the following;x2 gen 1 subsx1 playbar x2 play 3s x2 ones x1 play 5 the playbar and sub will be moved into the master bedroom now, the x1 ones will go into the kitchen.For the new living room I was thinking… The play 3s  mounting up each corner of the living room as surrounds and buying a new gen3 sub and having two subs in the living room. (I’ve read you can link a gen 1 and gen 3 sub together) buying a Sonos arc as my new playbar and then buying a new Sonos 5 and having both the play 5s in the living room to for music listening  (I’ve read you can link and gen 2 and gen 3 play 5 also) would people approve of this set up for a living room of this size …     

I received a Sonos Roam for the holidays. Upon setting up, the device was malfunctioning. I contacted support who guided me through the exchange process. i received the email stating I would get another email from a logistics partner giving me the return shipping label to get the product back to Sonos for exchange. It took contacting Sonos support 5 times to actually get the shipping label. When I finally received my replacement Roam, the new one that they sent was also defective. Doing a little research, it seems that the Sonos Roam is NOT a reliable product as many many people have had to return it for the same reason. I first contacted Sonos support to exchange the defective Roam on 1/7/22. Since then, I have been told FIVE different times by s support agent through chat that my return shipping label would be to me by the end of the day. Is the new arc worth the money?

Hello everyone, I have a Beam 2 soundbar with a 4K neo Qled TV. When I watch Netflix, I am told many movies with the Atmos logo. On the other hand, when I read the film I see that on the application I am in: PCM MULTICANAL DOLBY 5.1. I tried with several movies and the only one where I see Dolby ATMOS appear in the sonos application is for the series The WITCHER. I don't understand what the problem is.. can you help me please 🙂🙂

I have a Connect:Amp that shows a 30% discount available through the Upgrade program. I want to use this offer to purchase an Arc (£899-£629). However, upon adding this to my basket- where it appears to cost the discounted price of  £629- a discount of only roughly 15% is applied to my basket. It is the only product in my basket and I see no reason as to why only a 15% discount is applied when it says i’m eligible for a 30% discount. Any suggestions as to why this isn’t available?

hi everyoneover Christmas I manages to get a playbar and two play 1s for under £500. when I got them home [I couldn't get the surround sound to work with my tv 40” Samsung (old) it dod have an optical out but would not sent the rear speakers (2 play 1’s) individual channel output. Can someone reccomentd a deep tv I cn pick up second hand on Ebay.  Also is there a way to hook up a cheep sub to the above. thanks B

Hi,My first post…I’m thinking of installing my first Sonos components and would appreciate some advice from the group:I have a large open-plan living space (approx. 11M x3.5M) with anLG TV towards one end on the side wall. I’m think of adding a Beam (Gen2) soundbar to the TV (so pointing across the room) and then a ‘HiFi’ at the far end firing down the whole length of the 11M room.  The sound stage of the TV and HiFi would therefore be at right angles to each other and would not be operated at the same time.For the Hifi set up, I’m thinking of using a Sonus Amp connected to an existing pair of quality speakers and Sub.My primary use of this system would be using the Beam when watching TV and the Amp when listening to music. Hi guys, looking for some help….I currently have the beam 2 paired to a sonos amp which is powering two rear ceiling integrated speakers (not sonance), I am considering purchasing a sub to make it a 5.1 setup. Is there a way I can use the two ceiling speakers powered by the amp as height channels for dolby atmos, to create a 5.1.2 setup, as they are currently setup as LS & RS?Second question I like the idea of changing the beam for the arc, and using the beam elsewhere, the issue I have is it would be on a shelf within my tv cabinet below the tv. Currently works fine with the beam as that has forward facing speakers, but my obvious concern is whether the upfiring and side firing speakers on the arc would ruin the sound being within a cabinet? Hi, I am planning to buy a sonos 5 and a turntable to start listening to old LPs, I would also like to listen to old CD collections, the questions are:Can you recommend a CD player I should buy? Can I use the external port on the sonos 5 for a CD player. Is it possible to use a twin adapter so I can have both CD and Turntable connected to the single Sonos 5 external port?Thanksmccmyles

Sonos and audio noob here. Just starting out with a Beam in the living (tv + music) and a One in the bedroom. My wife wants to keep the cd collection + a player, so I'm looking at Connect-ing the player.However, our current mini audioset has only headphone output, so now I'm wondering whether that's enough as input for the Connect (with an adapter cable), or whether I should look into getting a new cd player. And if so, what specs for the output connection? Dual tulip connectors?(Yes, I expect the cd player to have a limited lifespan after I introduce her to the joys of the Sonos controller--I've already ripped the entire cd collection to our music library. But for now, this is the path I'm on.)PS: Checking the Sonos site, they don't seem to advertise the Connect any longer. It's still for sale elsewhere though. Would that even be compatible with the new Beam/One I have?

Just back from iKEA to buy a bookshelf speaker for my garage, but they had run ouf of the black I wanted.When I asked when the speakers would be back in stock I was told that a new bookshelf and lamp are due for delivery in January or February 2022.I can find leaked details about the lamps design change, which I think looks good. However, I can find no details at all about the changes to the bookshelf speaker.Does anyone have any info on the new speaker?

HiI’m considering switching away from a Squeezebox infrastructure to Sonos.  I’ve found some answers contained within this site and FAQ style help pages.But one question remains…Can I turn off an alarm from the speaker itself? I don’t mind setting up alarms from the app but we don’t keep phones in the bedrooms and therefore would like the ability to switch off and/or snooze and alarm from physical buttons on a speaker.In addition, is it then possible to switch to random play of my Windows music library?Lastly, I don’t use voice services in the house, so that’s not a solution for me I’m afraid. 

I understand the Port is best suited to have an amplified input (such as a stereo receiver) connected to it and the Amp is best suited for a non-amplified input (such as a turntable or speakers) connected to it.My question is, can a stereo receiver still be connected to the Amp? If so, are there any negative impacts?Thank you.

Hi there.I’m thinking of investing in a Sub G3 to go with my Amp and a really decent little pair of passive speakers, but it’s quite an expensive upgrade. As I use the system a lot it might be justified, provided that the output to the passive speakers is high-passed. This would enable not only bass extension, but allow the stand-mounted passive speakers to reproduce just the mids and treble  and to benefit from a less bassy input signal and hopefully even better, sweeter clarity.I know that the Sub controller can set various crossover frequencies such that the Sub can be used with say, large floorstanding speakers and to reproduce frequencies below 60Hz, or with smaller ‘bookshelf’/stand-mount speakers where a crossover of perhaps 80-100Hz might be more appropriate (so the sub kicks in below that). ...But is the output from the Amp to the passive speakers then high-passed accordingly - which the word crossover implies (which is what I want) - or is it full-range to the speakers (albei

HelloI’m thinking of upgrading my playbar to an Arc. I currently have two Play:1 speakers as a surround pair. Will these work with Arc in Dolby Atmos  or do I need to upgrade those as well to One SL or Ones?

Looking to get a new 65”TV , What brand works best with Sonos ? Some people have reported eARC problems with Sony X90J and that was the TV I was about to get . Another model I was looking at was the Hisense U8G but several people reported the same problems . I also looked at the Samsung Q80A and there don’t seem to be any eARC problems with this model . Any thoughts or recommendations ?

Hi there, Is it ok to fix the Sonos Beam Gen 2 to the ceiling ?The height of the ceiling is 2,5m (standard).Another question about the sonos beam gen 2: would it work with the IKEA sonos symfonisk ?

Sonos 1 app. Shows screen insisting I use the new Sonos 2 app. However my older speakers can only he used on the Sonos 1 app as they are " incompatible" with the Sonos 2. However it will not allow me enter the Sonos 1 app. Just shows a black screen with text telling meto use the Sonos 2. Is there a way around this screen I was using my speakers yesterday with out issue.
